Reloads all your tabs when you unlock it, which means I have to sign into all my accounts again, which means going through the 2FA every single time. Super annoying.

Chrome is not being opened due to this extension in Ubuntu 22.04.
I'm able to lock my whole Brave browser and all the profiles in it with just one password lock. On the other hand when I added the extension to Google Chrome, it would lock the profile to which I added the extension but will not lock the whole browser at all. Why? I would really like it to function the same way as with Brave.
The best extension when it comes to locking your Chrome browser. I have been using it for years, I highly recommend it!
Love it, its amazing and now my profile is save from anyone... i just have kids here using my laptop so dont gotta worry about them using some next level hacking or something lol
Great Extension ! For those peoples ranting about incognito and other stuff You can go to its options by clicking on 3 dots in extension tab and use more options.

This extension is good. but if you are a good computer user you can remove it eaisly. so according to me this extension is sucks@#!!!.
Not good as expected, it is always flashing. I uninstalled it in my system but still keep on flashing upon logging in to windows.

I installed this extension in the hopes that it actually worked. I set it up, saw that it was working properly but was able to disable it using the Windows task manager and ending the task with Chrome still open. Once the extension was disabled through the task manager, Chrome stayed open and I was able to access everything. Took maybe 45 seconds to find out exactly which process was LockPW, after that no security whatsoever.
It's too much irritating as even if I type 100% correct password, It does not open my browser until I shut down computer and restart it.
worked great but locking a particular profile is what i want so other can still use the browser but not mine profile
It works fine but whenever you open your browser it'll take some time to load this extension and it annoys me everytime

Liking it so far....but how do you get the timed "Auto Lock" to work? I can't figure it out. Whether I set it to 1 second or 600 seconds, I can minimize the browser and go away and come back after the elapsed inactivity time, and it never prompts me for password again. It only seems to work during startup, regardless of the settings of the "Auto Lock". I'm using Chrome Canary. Please help me figure out the auto lock. Thanks

This is a amazing extension used to lock profiles in chrome Browser with many options, and the most wanted feature which i had expected for is the history of our login attempts and password changes we made with accurate time on the computer

Good, but 1. When I lock it, on restore I lose my open tabs! 2. You should allow choosing another Chrome profile when a profile is locked (I used a workaround for this one though by creating shortcuts for profiles)

Its an okay lock but if u get the password wrong sometimes it opens incognito tab which is annoying alot
Works like charm!! The only feature I wanted a modern web browser to have, not just a master password to protect passwords but the whole browser activity, this extension pretty much fills up that void. :-)

It simply doesn't work. Sometimes it cannot connect to https://landr.me/sofwar other times it displays some pages full of ads.
It is good, since i wanted to hide some of my browser history from my family- and so whenever they used the browser without my knowledge, i can feel better since they don't know the password. (btw my pc have more than 2 browser, so i know they can use another one) I love how there a feature of "password hint" so i don't really need to remember it correctly. But i don't know this feature already exist or not, but is this extension have feature to lock it manually? instead of some period of time. I see the hotkeys, is that how you do it? because when i use the "Cntrl"+"Shift"+"L" it just open google search to search a text from my clipboard.(I use it with the option enabled and disabled and it the same) Oh yeah and also, can you add an option to when the password got turned off.. you don't need to add the password again and be able to turn on/off from a button/toggle

I forgot my password and there is no way to retrieve password. I cannot disable it as well as I cannot open my browser.

Many users complaining about bugs. I've been using it for some time and didn't face any issues. Extension works fine. However, as of now there is no option as "Forgot Password". So you will have to make a New Profile and sign in if that happens. In this extension settings, I find it useful to uncheck the second option "Opening the password entry window in full screen" If someone opens it accidentally, it can easily be closed.
This thing should be chrome feature. Thanks developer. you took that responsibility and saved our privacy. Thanks a lot.

It works good but Its extension website does not open to change settings . Otherwise it is best lock for your browser . I request Admins to please take action on my complain.

I've saved my passwords in Chrome and I want it to be safer by being password-protected. When one opens Chrome on my laptop, it is possible for them to access my emails and Twitter without requesting a password! Therefore, this extension is really a must for me and increases my security.
It's excatly what I needed. It doesn't let other person to use my chrome. Neither it lets you completely blocked from the softwere. It has all the functionlity I needed. like the hot keys function or the password mash. Thanks for making this. LOVED IT!!

It was just the thing I was looking for But you need to fix 1 thing or add 1 option The setting "open a new incognito profile" doesn't work. So you need to either fix that or add another option that lets people access chrome with other profiles if they get the password wrong. I just want to lock my chrome profile, not the entire browser. This blocks the entire browser from opening, even when trying to use another unlocked profile With that said, I'm pretty satisfied overall - keep up the good work! :D

Terrible terrrible don't download it after I set the password it didn't let me to open chrome at all and closes it without even giving me a chance to input the password
Useful and simple, however when I click back from the password, all open windows are lost. It starts with a new window. Why? The idea is to protect the windows...but when I enter my password, they should remain.
I had to delete my profile. I couldn't input my password because chrome and lockPW automatically exit when I try to. I just made another profile and added this extension again. If this happens again I'll change my rating to 1 star.

Broken. Can't start a chrome with it. Removed this extension from profile folder is only solution to start chrome. My tabs and windows was closed by this extension

Not working. It doesn't ask for PWD when open a new browser with a different chrome user profile. Didn't try with the main profile. The extension is in the profile I am opening. Earlier it was working for different PC but not working in this new PC.
AMAZING! works perfect, also have advance features to be sure your browser is lock. For example, for your work you can use chrome, for your personal things you can use chrome canary, and for your kids chrome dev. In this scenario you can get privacy of 3 browsers without change the user in your PC or Mac. Deeply tanks to the developers!
I love it but have one question. Can I get it activated in one device (work) and not in another (home) while having the same Google Account in both instances ?
Looks great and almost worked. Love the interface and options provided. Fatal flaw though. You can bypass the lock by right-clicking on chrome icon->Open New Incognito Window->This will show the lock screen then hit F11->Next the screen will black out->Click in the black space and you've bypassed the lock.

Super impressive. Finally something I can use across Firefox / Chrome and now Edge. Killer work dude.
I would have given it 5 stars, except lately the settings keep changing themselves. For example, I have turned off "Opening the password entry window in full screen", but it keeps turning it back on the next time I log on. Also changes the number of login attempts I had set.

This extension used to work properly. I don't know what happened, but it doesn't work anymore. Anytime you get the password screen, you can literally just press alt+F4 and the screen will close and you can continue using chrome. No password needed any more....just alt+F4. lmao

Works intermittently. Locks Brave browser unexpectedly. Needs to work better with Brave.
The browser lock itself after the last update. It was perfect before. The bigger problem is i wanted to reopen the browser but after i entered the password it seems does nothing. Cannot unlock, cannot close the password form, cannot close the instance. The only way to fix is by killing the entire chrome that runs on my sistem. It means I also lost all the opened browser tabs across different chrome user sessions. I checked the log there's something that says: Authorisation error Lost focus from password entry window

Worked great for a few days and then completely locked me out of Chrome. It would prompt for password and then just shutdown Chrome. Had to remove it manually. Don't install.
Its safe my business highly recommended
it has solved ally worries regarding my PC in office. Now I can leave the PC with all my personal data open as this extension has the feature to auto lock after the set time. Thanks for t8he developers for such amazing work.

I like it but i am afraid if it doesn't work when i click chrome notifications but not entering password while opening browser . It happend with another extension called chrome lock. besides, its great one
It works like a charm. The only issue I have it is related with the links on the options page top menu, where they are pointing to wrong paths.
Nice Extension.. Thank you all developers. But one function is needed to add and that is- extension removal and deactivation should not be possible without password. Now anyone can deactivate or remove extention LockPW normally (without password)..
despite all of the 5 stars review, it sucks, i've trusted the reviews but it turned out they're fake. the moment i set a password and press save, my browser automatically close, and when i open it, it immediately close again, i've tried to open it over and over and over but no luck, i've found a way to remove the extension manually(google remove chrome extension manually and follow) and thankfully it reopens now. PLEASE DON'T DOWNLOAD IT UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO REMOVE IT
Minimize chrome doesn't work. What's the point of a password if they can read the tab descriptions?
It's good but we have a BIG PROBLEM when crashing Chrome. You need CTRL+SHIFT+T to restore all tabs and this does not work with LOCKPW installed. The only way I found was to uninstall the extension, restore the tabs, reinstall the extension.
Useless, as you can always start chrome with extensions disabled...
Extension is nice and helpful , but when chrome closed accidentally, after i open then (Restore) dos'nt work. Do something...

I used to love this extension. However, there was an instance where I tried search for help as I set down the password too fast which result in mistakes words spelling, which unfortunately "forgot passwords?" doesnt exist. I couldn't find ways to fix this and manys on the reviews complain similar issues, in addition with no helpful advise from developers. I try to type my password as fast as possible in order to regain the previous muscle memory of typing the password. Luckily, I managed to regain access to it. I would like a f*king updates on such issues i had, not for only me but also many others as well. Before such implementation have occured, i will not be using this extension. RIP LOCKPW

How to Change Password in LockPW
The app is really perfect. I have been using it for more than 3 months but today on 4th Oct. 2018, when I was backing up my pc, the system was working slow and during that time I accessed my browser and opened my logged in mail account. I think it's like a bug so thought to report it. Otherwise the app is really a perfect one. Thank you.
