Can it be resized to a resolution higher than my display? For example, 4K on a Full HD display, so that I can screen around the display area?

Must have extension if you have a 4K monitor, or multiple different sized monitors. To be able to create custom window sizes and have them available at a click is a game changer for productivity!

Perfect!. I wanted to have a tab always open on the right side of my screen that is narrower as per my requirement. This extension does exactly what I needed. ?

So easy to use and increases my productivity. I love it. Hotkey configurations is awesome and the window locations remember which monitor (if you have more than one screen) the window show go to.

Would be cool if it allowed you to resize the window to the selected resolution excluding chrome's top bar ( tabs, bookmarks, and url )

The sizes are all over the place. Selecting a preset size is way off the advertised sizes. The only one that is accurate is 1024x768. The 1440x900 preset results in 1424x780, 1680x1050 results in 1664x930, 1920x1080 results in 1904x960, and 2560x1440 results in 2544x1320

Window Resizer is by far the best window manager I have ever used- adding presets is easy and convenient and overall this extension excels in customization options.

Finally! Every time I get on the PC I open several Chrome windows. Some of these windows I overhang off the right side of the screen so it's impossible for me to accidentally hit the close button. For some reason these minimized windows will grow in size after a few sessions and I always had to resize all of the windows. Not anymore!!! This extension lets me resize the window I want, place it where I want it on the screen and then I simply press the "current" dimension/location buttons when creating a customized preset. After years of doing my window resizing ritual now I open my multiple windows and simply press "preset 1" boom..."preset 2" boom...."preset 3" boom....etc So happy!!!

Excellent extension to test different window sizes. Quite helpful that it comes with useful, preset sizes as well as a simple interface to store and recall custom sizes. Also great that it requires no special permissions. Great job and thank you.

I cant get it to open now, I am lame I know but please one of you guys tell me what i am doing wrong I know it is the app i need so I do want to uninstall it or got another one when this one seems to be everyone go to app. worked fine first time now nothing i know it is me that is the problem just not sure what i am doing wrong. help please thank you guys for all your words.

Like this batter than some of the snap plugins I installed. Wish it had more up to date presets for mobile devices. I added 2048x1536 Ipad Pro 9.7 2224x1668 Ipad Pro 10.5 2732x2048 Ipad Pro 12.9 750x1334 Iphone 6S Relabled 1920x180 Desktop 1080p

I use Linux and Latest chrome (76). I would like to play videos through chrome in small dimensions. However, I found out, that Chrome prohibit (for what reason?) to resize it Horizontal smaller than some 500 points (my screen 1360 x 768). What I can do? Is there any hack? I would like Chrome dimensions of 250 x 150.

I was looking for a way to fix the problem I was having with not being able to resize my windows small enough for what I needed, and hoped this would work. Sadly, didn't fix my problem, still wasn't able to make my window small enough.

How did I design websites without this extension for so many years?! Very easy to setup and the developer really put in some extra thought into the settings pages. Will definitely upgrade to pro soonest!

While I like the functionality, it has some nasty side effects such as when I try to take a youtube video to full screen it will lock up the session hard and require a command line kill to get control back to desktop. I use it to set my desired size and then disable it to stop this nasty side effect.

Part of my daily workflow as a UX/UI designer. Often times use this with Full Page Screen Capture - then copy and past screens into Sketch and fit the artboards perfect.

It's the best tool to have for web/app development, mainly to test user-interface code on different screen sizes.

Awesome tool - Use it all the time for media queries while building sites. Only issue I occasionally have is that sometimes it displays window dimensions while resizing and sometimes it doesn't? haven't figured out why! Minor glitch in an otherwise really useful tool - Thank you for this :)

I love how quick and accessible this plugin is, but it simply does not do what it says on the tin for me. Screenshots imported in photoshop are off by 5/8 pixels, so I can't really rely on this for future use.

I am changing this rating to be much lower. It used to be you could set the dimensions and preserve them. Now you can't. Using a different product.

Best window resizer/preset extension in Chrome Store It's simple yet very customizable in both aesthetics and function! The (use current) option can be used for dimensions of window as well as the position of the window whether that be within one monitor or spanning across multiple monitors. It's a must for anyone with two monitors and an absolute necessity for those of us with three. P.S. Those complaining about this app and giving it one star are morons. Most seem to be old crotchety Boomers who can't handle a little change even when it's for the better so they throw their toys down and go home!

R u not just suppose to click on the button and it resizes ur display to fill it to the best possible view? If that is the case it did not work well at all for me. I was better off just changing the settings resolution on chrome. Sorry folks had to give a low rating based on my experience.

Old version was all I needed. Now it's bloated, somehow harder to use and always notifying me that it's a new version.

OK, I'm going to modify my rating because, having played around with it a bit more, I realise that it's actually still pretty good. And 1073px seems to be the max height that a window can go on a 1920x1280 MacBook Pro. … BTW, the behaviour of the expand button in Chrome (and most other apps) on Mac actually switches to full-screen mode, which is occasionally useful but usually irritating.

The version before 2 was perfect. The new version now nags you to UPGRADE TO PRO before you can do anything. Downgrading back to 1.9 and making sure it doesn't update.

Chrome Window Resizer is my favorite Chrome extension because it allows me to obsessively and precisely arrange windows to maximize the space on my extra-wide screen. I realize the primary audience for this extension is coders who are testing their responsive websites for different screen sizes, from desktop monitors to phones. But I use it instead for a little multitasking, among other things. For instance, if I want to have a video playing while I do some other work in a browser (or other program), I put the "main" window on the right with a preset that's always the same. But then I also have presets for various video sites (YouTube, Vimeo, my favorite newspaper, etc.) so the videos from those sites will play in the horizontal space that I've left on the left side. One more thing: Four days ago, I posted just a friendly suggestion for a future extension feature on the developer's forums page, and Ionuț said he'd look into it. Fast forward to this morning, when my suggestion was the central new feature of a new version that was rolled out. THAT"s customer service.

Need themes support so it can be configured to look exactly like the old version, I used descriptions on my presets because of the scrollbar difference when testing specific resolutions. With this new version is just easier for me to use "device toolbar" on developer tools

I like this extension but since last update (dark-green one) I cannot resize window or viewport because: "the target width/height is lower than the maximum allowed by your browser window" Before the update I was able to do that without any problem.

It's less intuitive and useful. I find it cumbersome and bloated now. I do like the on the fly window resizing, but I found the rest of the UI unappealing and unproductive. I'll wait and see if there's a way to revert. Otherwise, poof!

Just awful after the forced upgrade. The new version is just basically unusable and a bloated nightmare, while the old version had everything that was ever needed from this extension: quick and usable window resizing.

Was great except now I can't simple left click the icon to toggle presets. Needs this feature back or I'll just uninstall.

this plug was working fine. Then they advertise to upgrade, and it doesn't work any more. Infuriating. I'm looking for another window resizer. This is an unforgivable waste of my time.

Pretty good extension, but there's no presets above 1680x1050... There's been resolutions much higher than this for a long time now. At least add 1920x1080!

This plugin lets you switch to custom browser window sizes. I like how I can create a new profile for my current browser window size, and how I can choose where on the screen that window will appear. Finally, there's an easy way for me to switch between wide browser boxes for spreadsheets and narrow browser boxes for general web browsing!

CS: GO resolution resizes my Google Chrome window every alt+tab, so this extension works just great. Thanks!
