Too many issues, makes it very unreliable for QA purposes - sometimes when there's alt text there, it still shows "alt text missing". Sometimes it shows "alt text missing" when it shouldn't be showing anything at all because alt text=null.

Cuts off longer alt captions so you can't see the whole thing. Interferes with Javascript and stops you navigating a site once enabled.

This tool did not work me. It correctly identified the alt text for the images on a page and for some of the icons, but not all of the icons. We tried a different tool and it had similar issues. After trying different approaches to expose the alt text for the icons in question, we tested with an iphone in voiceover mode and found that everything was done properly and was working correctly all along. The only issue was with the test tool(s). It was a challenge for me to navigate with voiceover on, but i learned that if I first navigate to the page to be tested, I could then use siri to turn voiceover on to test the images and icons on the page.

have to click the extension to turn it on, which is annoying since i thought it was just adding a behavior to when hovering over images and i thought it was broken at first, and then it gives a popup of how many images there were, which usually covers up the image i was going to check. I have to reload it if i scroll too far down somewhere

It is useful, but I don't think it's ideal. For one, it breaks my javascript framework each time I run it (requiring me to force a refresh after activating the extension). The other problem is that I would prefer if this extension could essentially be turned on once and then keep using until it's turned off. I don't like having to keep turning it on after going through each page in my site.

Can't use it in conjunction with "ContentBlockHelper". i wouldn't know what to whitelist to make the alt text appear on mouse hover, so it's just not usable for me (but works with CBH disabled, so i gave it 3 stars)

i found that it only shows alternate text if its define in html alt tag. It would be more helpful if alternat text of an image is generated automatically even if alt attribute is not given. Auto Alt text extension also has limitations

Great tool....proof by demonstration...gold standard...I use it to verify the findings of scanners

It's awkward. I thought it would make the value of "alt" properties show when hovering over images, just as it does with the values of "title". However, the "alt" values only show when the extension's overlay is activated, which requires extra interaction with the extension.

Like the extension, but there is some jittering on hover. Maybe make some options for text size on hover? The text is HUGE. And maybe some color options?

The only app I could find that shows alt text on hoover. Works great but you have to reload the page when you're done, somehow it screws up other javascript

Excellent job. If you add feature of copy the alt text by double clicking on the relative image. that will be much more beneficial.

Good extension and useful. Feature request It will be good if you add an option to copy alt text to clipboard automatically when you hover on a image or click it , and all alt texts in posts to clipboard ( remember in posts only)
