It's Twitter, without the bad parts! Are the new public views problematic (they definitely are)? Just turn them off and never worry about it again. Tired of seeing annoying trends? Hide those too. Are you doomscrolling on your timeline too much? You can limit it to non-retweets or disable it entirely as well! This extension is great for mental health and limiting the amount of content you put into your precious brain.

Awesome extension that makes Twitter a useable site again. What would make this app go from 5 stars to 6 stars for me would be an option to hide posts that are text only (to see only posts with media)

This is incredible! My only issue is that even though I haven't stipulated any changes for the What's Happening sidebar, it's now showing me only sports for some reason.

Thank you so much!! I breathed a huge sigh of relief at how neat & calm Twitter looks because of this extension. Takes away pretty much every issue I've had with the site and it's super customizable so features you want to keep can stay. Also easy to switch things on and off, and it shows changes immediately. Only wish I could apply it to the iOS app too! EDITED to add two features I thought of: - Would love the bar at the top with "Following" (+ pinned lists) to have an option to hide when scrolling - To be able to view QRTs for a tweet by an account that has been blocked/muted (without unblocking/unmuting them) EDITED after using for several days and reading other reviews: No problems with it slowing down or causing glitches in my browser. No problems with features not working/not showing up (For example, view counts are successfully hidden but replies are still there, great! Looks just like it used to! The "For You" tab is completely gone! Clunky "Who to Follow" and "Topic" blocks breaking up the TL...gone! [I also have a Twitter-specific ad blocker so the TL is beautiful hehe]). My suggestion is to go through each toggle option while you have the Twitter page open and play around until you get it how you want - there's nothing irreversible and you don't have to refresh/log out to see the changes, so this works fine. One thing I noticed: after updating my browser, the Follow/Following button inverse colors and the Twitter Blue badge reverted...this isn't a huge deal as again, they're easy to re-toggle on or off (this extension is pinned to the top of my browser, so access to the toggle options are only a click away)...but I thought I'd mention it! Thanks again, keep up the great work! Can't stand to use the iOS app anymore and now I'm exclusively on desktop!

not working for me. just want the following timeline to be default but see no difference.

Just installed it and it doesn't do anything. Restarted Chrome, logged out and back into Twitter, nothing.

Seems to be working fine for me today 01-19-2023. I like it. It's sorely needed.

The dev keeps it constantly updated, it's great and has the option to replace the fake verified symbol to a blue "B" symbol (to easily distinguish between who's actually verified and who just paid for it). And now it's one of the very few that manage to hide the analytics. For those who are having issues, in "UI Tweaks" select "Hide metrics" and then select to hide only replies. It does unfortunately hide the number of replies, but it also completely hides the analytics.

unfortunately does not block the new 'You might like' posts that are infecting the timeline EDIT 01/17/2023: no longer hides view count or anything. only makes the website slow.

Hate Twitters native app and site. This extension is the closest thing to having Tweetbot back.

Any chance to patch up the "Discover More" that keeps popping at the end of each post thread? Edit: 11/01/2023, gets stuck on the Retweet/Quote Tweet tabs if you click one of them and can't go back to the Following tab unless you refresh/re-enter Twitter Edit: as of 14/01/2023 stopped working... Edit: seems to work fine as of 16/01/2023.

this is one of the best extensions I've ever downloaded, it fixes pretty much everything wrong with twitter and makes the site so much more tolerable to use! it also updates pretty quickly in response to whatever new bs twitter pushes. i literally cannot imagine trying to use the site without this extension! to the devs: thank you a million times!! <3

Needs the allow recent tweets and more especially how Musk has crippled third party twitter clients. Please add this, the new Twitter and "For You" is terrible.

Can we put suggestions in 'write a review'? Can an add on be a check box to, or NOT to, see 'likes' in your notifications? I honestly don't care on one of my accounts, which is busier than my other two. It just jams up the notifications I WANT to see/reply to. Thank you in advance!

You know all those little tweaks you wish would come natively? HERE THEY ARE. Hide the RT, QT, view count, change the font, hide the discover sidebar, and so much more. Even if you just want one thing, this has it and the rest can be turned off with a simple toggle. YES.

Seamlessly gets rid of a lot of the nonsense UI displayed on Twitter. Would like to know if there's a way to get rid of the "More Tweets: Explore More of What's On Twitter" section that pops up now.

This is the only extension that lets you selectively hide specific Twitter metrics (like the stupid view count), instead of just nuking every number on the page. Speedy updates, skillfully made! Can't recommend enough :D

Twitters UI has been changed so the likes, shares, analytics and retweets are in a different position and when your trying to hide stuff its the wrong thing (at least when you haven't clicked on the tweet). regardless, this extension works great!

With every new feature they add, I become more and more thankful for your plugin! I didn't realize just how much of the site I was mentally blocking out until I turned this on and tried mobile after. Browsing is no longer a mental chore, and I actually see the post I want from my friends!

Great! My only suggestion is PLEASE remove that new view number thing on tweets (It's to the left of the reply button). I'm totally used to the reply button being there, and it really mixes me up!

It's great to take a break and use this extension for a while, just to get away from the bombardment of trends and ads and confusion. I do switch back and forth, but but extension is saving my sanity right now. Thank you.

My only suggestion would be fixing the J and K key shortcuts on twitter. those would normally let you see the next tweet with a simple button press. It unfortunately just glitches when this extension is on

Working great. Never seen Twitter like this before in my life!

Overall, it works beautifully! Clutter from the timeline is totally gone and tweets now appear chronologically. Separate retweet tab works great as well. The only issue I have is that my bookmark tab is now missing from the left menu. If that gets fixed, this is an easy 5-star extension.

I was using Refined before w/ Minimal Twitter but Refined broke minimal. Luckily this new tweak has brought back all the features I missed, seems to support minimal and has even more features that I didn't know I'd like. Specifically the retweet and quote tweet on timeline. Great job!

Great start, but we need the ability to hide replies altogether. Just like the YouTube one, I want to scroll Twitter without seeing negative comments. Near perfect in my opinion.

I was hitting "I'm not interested in this tweet" about 5 posts in a row for every 2 posts from people I actually follow before this. This actually worked instantly with removing all the GARBAGE. Thank you, this is a godsend.

I cannot put into words how much this has already improved my experience on and with twitter. It literally removes everything wrong with the platform in one fell swoop, plain and simple. Now I just get tweets from the people I actually follow. You have my eternal gratitude.

I'm loving this extension so far! My only recommendation is if the topics page were still displayed like it was on the explore page (without the trending tags/news of course) where you see a few posts from each topic, that would be great!

Literally saved my brain. I'm an artist, and obsessing over likes and retweets was killing me. No more! Thank you to the creator of this beautiful, simple extension. Massive XKit vibes.

Unfortunately this doesn't work at all in Vivaldi, those obnoxious "More Tweets" are still shown. It does seem to work somewhat in Chrome, but I'm not using that Google browser, since Vivaldi is much better and safer.

Only one issue: the name. These aren't "tweaks." These are options to disable some of Twitter's most obnoxious, distracting, confusing, and stupid features. I particularly like being able to read my timeline chronologically, without the Holy Algorithm trying to tell me what I want to read.

Very good extension. Hides the pesky ads and Topics (god I hate these tweets the most). Only thing I'd want more from this extension is if you can have an option to have "Media only tweets" also include retweets so I can view my follows artwork + retweets.

Is it possible to add a hide "Media studio" button? It comes with twitter analytics apparently. That aside great for hiding buttons under the more menu since i can't find any other extension that specifically does that since i don't mind the new twitter look other than certain buttons. I'm sure others may think its not a good extension but for me I feel its working fine since i get anxiety over small things like new buttons and i'd like to thank whoever created this extension even though there are some buttons i can't hide it's helped my anxiety and stress a little and hopefully in the future i can get used to the new buttons.

Removes that brainwashing 'what's happening' on the right hand side. Now i can get on with my life without being bombarded with negativity and brainwashing.

Love how It is highly customizable. Now my feed looks as good as It was before.

I just wanted to get rid of the trends and it nuked the entire sidebar leaving an awkward blank (which you can fill extending the timeline with an experimental feature though!). But the “add muted keyword” shortcut was what sold me… now I only need these guys to lift the 200-keyword limit ?

Ironically, I don't have social media myself but part of my job involves running the company's Twitter profile. I found myself becoming negatively affected by the "What's Happening" section and other algorithmic features. These things are designed to provoke strong emotions in everyone, leading to a dependency and a need to keep informed. I don't want any part in it, but at the same time I need to do my job and help my clients. I can't thank you enough for creating this extension. You have saved me so much time, anxiety and stress. Thank you :)

First off, this is a great extension, and the most customizable one for Twitter that I could find. If you see this Jonny, about the one thing that I wish it could do is further split out the different sections of the "algorithmic content". For example it would really help me to be able to hide the "What's happening" section but not "Who to follow" or "You might like". Really well done on the extension. I believe these types of customizers are so important for today's rapid habitual media consumption and will only become more so. They give power and intent back to individuals. You are what you eat after all so, these types of apps for apps (that help us control and customize our other apps) can go along way towards being more mindful and purposeful about what we digest and who we are. Thanks so much!
