It doesn't add the buttons automatically you have to click it but it still works and id recommend it.

With my other additions to my browser, this extension doesn't play well with them. I got a lot of greyed out icons and icons appearing after I turned them off. Going with one of the others with just the quality. Those features were great but they also had other issues like not remembering what I applied after I go to the next video. If you don't have the sponser block app then your expierence will be great. (on Opera GX)
It functions as intended, and had some other nice features(color filters, brightness, screenshotting). You have to reload the page for it to work when using for the first time.

The only tool that actually does what it supposed to, Set the god damn quality to the maxest on any video, when you select the highest, All these other tools only set to the quality you picked, But this pickest the highest if you on you picked isn't available and that alone is 5 stars why cant people program like this anymore.

It may seem like overkill but I am using 2 extensions to force proper youtube quality 480p on a 1440p screen with 1gbps internet is annoying youtube!! This extesion is great. I would like to suggest a new feature for the video part would be the possibility to mirror the videos horizontally and vertically.

I have it set to 720p and every time i go to a video that is in HD, i still get standard definition and i have to manually go to 720p every time.
Far too amazing. I liked this extension, yet there's 1 concern that I'm missing, but I don't know if it will get put in because I don't know if it's hard, but the option to reverse your video is all that I need from this extension. Other than that, this extension is great!
Useful and compact tool.
I tried other YOUTUBE hd extensions, this is the best. with other extensions, youtube video used to flicker but with this extension no flickering.
Setting video to play in 1080p doen't work, other features are useless for me
i love it cuz equalizer i was looking for its best others would lag and this dosn't i like option in equalizer named full bass it works great

This is a very nice extension that I just installed, but on the first video I had to do some work and used floating player to make it visible while I was on different windows.

It did absolutely nothing. Clicked the badge, chose 4K, reloaded YouTube many times, quality was still auto.
Sets initial quality, but doesn't work when yt lowers quality slightly into of video, which is why I got it in the first place, because of broken yt...
At the time of writing 20/Oct/2021, it does not set quality, only refreshes page.

the only one out of 5 different extentions i tried that actually works. you may have to refresh the page a couple times tho. and make sure it only has access to the sites you want it to, it autos to all sites.
The extension doesn't recognize 720p50, 720p60, 1080p50 and 1080p60 qualities. Please update. The app works well when opening new video tabs, when restoring closed tabs and even when opening or restarting Chrome. But when I change the quality preferance, the app forces to refresh all video tabs and begins to play the videos. This forces me to go to the tab and pause the videos. Fix this as well.

Doesn't work. It's set to 720p and I still have to manually change from 360p. Not sure why YouTube started serving me low-quality videos as I'm on either a campus network or a 200/200 fiber.

Probably worked at some point, but it's broken just like all of the others now and I have to watch every video in 144p-360p because that's what YouTube is automatically setting for me.

It works very well. I set it to 4320p so 8k quality. AND ALSO THE Video doesn't lag at all. Worth downloading.

Quality settings on "automatic" was - UNRELIABLE.

Oct 2019 - I've tried a 3 extensions with the same objective a non of them works, this one is included. Don't waste your time.
