No support for Chrome OS or Chromebooks
No available for chromebook. The developers tell you to download from the play store, but it does not actually do anything, and doesn't grant any of the features.
Love it
After time after time of searching, I've finally found the password manager that was no "pro" or "paid" version, I really recommend that you try it. (Also read their "help" page if you need help with anything, so you won't rate this 1 star to avoid misjudge and to mislead other users)
The desktop app and web browser extension can't synchronize my passwords
Been using for YEARS!! I'm an evangelist.
Been using SafeInCloud for years and it's great. I have had very few issues over the years. It's a solid, reliable product with great features.
It's a very good password manager. One time payment and you're done. No need to worry about subscriptions. It'd be nice if the desktop app and this extension both have dark mode
Safe In Cloud is the best affordable password manager for individuals out there, and the browser add on is stellar. It's easy to use and works well.
I tried with their app, desktop app and now with extension but to be honest, neither the dev is interested in solving issues nor make it better than others like keepass. This extension shows "Error. Failed to access the current web page. Reload the page and try again." Nothing works. For app and desktop app, there is no option for import csv or db or json file from other password managers. I wanted to shift from bitwarden, edge exported passwords and brave passwords but nothing is considered here. It just considers itself, cloud sync (before all database it created) and auto backup of its own database. If somebody is planning to shift from another password manager, then this service is horrible. Tried and mailed to dev but his response was enough to make me not consider even, forget about paid I thought of some time later. I hope dev will not look into claims I made because no matter how much he advertises, ground reality for users like us is different.
Easy to use. The app works without hiccups on OS X and on iOS, and it is well integrated into chrome *and* firefox *and* safari. And, most importantly, I get to store my passwords in my cloud service of choice -- much safer than storing on password manager provider's server. Works with many cloud providers -- I have used it with Dropbox and pCloud. In addition to saving passwords I use it to save other secure information, handily , eg, credit card and passport data.
Great PM. Easy to customize.
Amazing app. Works very well with Windows and Android. I keep the database on my home NAS and access it via WebDAV over HTTPS so no one but me has a copy of the database. The ONLY reason I have given this 4 stars is that the Chrome extension doesn't work on my Chromebook and I can't find any way to make it work. If it did this would be an absolute 5 star app in every OS I use.
extension stops working tried removing and adding back but still wont work on chrome
Extension does not capture when I enter pw on the webpage. While the software works great, the extension sometimes cannot capture the pw I enter on the webpages. So, I had to manually create it again in the software. Also, If I have 2 logins for Chase.com, the extension wont let you choose which one to use. Annoying.
Ignore the negative reviews, this app is great. It's not perfect, there are a handful of sites that it doesn't work on but no password manager is perfect. With changing security standards and endless website redesign it's impossible to stay on top of how every site on the internet displays its login/password fields. That being said it works very well in the browser and on Android. I've used KeepassXC for a few years, then Bitwarden for a few more, then Enpass for a while. This one is the most consistent.
This extension's UI needs MAJOR revamp, it looks like an unfinished project, no dark theme, features, design is 2000.
"Require password every: Always" option does not work for this plugin at all !!!!. It ask password once and then never ask it again - passwords always available!!! Only solution is to remove and then reinstall plugin!!! VERY UNSECURE if somebody will enable this option without checking is it works!!!
EDIT: App is now connecting to babymedia.net as caught by Malwarebytes. A known scam site. Instant uninstall. Great quality. As much as I would like an open source version of this app, none of the open source alternatives work nearly as well.
For Chrome browser, I wish userid/password selection was part of entry field, and not have to move the mouse to the extension bar each time.
Useless on a Chromebook
If you have SafeInCloud, just go ahead and install this extension and ignore the negative comments. It works just fine. The SafeInCloud Windows 10 app (free) and Android app are excellent and recommended. I prefer having total control over where my database is located, which is why I prefer this solution over others.

Have used this for several years. Works well on multiple platforms except Linux.
desktop version stucked at restoring database and chrome extension says my password is incorrect
Very good password manager. I've used it for years. NO SUBSCRIPTIONS!!!
No longer works, keeps returning the error "SafeInCloud application is not running in the background. Start it and try again." even though the app is running, so the extension is now useless
Why don't you just mention that IF one should be purchasing this app to use with Microsoft Edge; forget it, please? This has been a total waste of my time and energy and; as of writing, I cannot even get this extension up 'n' running in Chrome neither. To say that I am 'disappointed' is an understatement. Thank you.
Great app for storing passwords, however when you try to add it from your phone to computer the computer app doesn't recognize the password to get into the app. So, I backed up the files to a storage and it wont even open it from there, not even from the source of the downloaded backup which is the phone. Confusing? Just think how I feel.
Although this app comes in handy, it spits out a bad request error way too frequently, requiring you to have to enter the password again.
Error 502
Really secure, cross-platform and webdav owncloud sync makes this password manager an obvious choice. Simply awesome!
Simple to use, reliable and very good integration.
The extension works but when I click on the extension I see a message at the bottom that I run an outdated version of the extension. When I click on the 'update' link it forwards me to the extension download page in Chrome but it seems to be the latest version especially that I only downloaded it 2 minutes before that. Why do I see that message?
Really good, Highly recommended for your multi-device password word management app
Those of you getting the error "Failed to detect login and password input fields on this page" TAKE NOTE, THE EXTENSION DOES WORK?I originally thought the extension simply opened the app, but it does not. To insure smooth operation, you must have: 1) The Program installed on your computer. 2) A Card Entry for the website you want to log into. 3) The URL of the Login page in a ‘Website Field’ in the card which needs to be created if not already there. Bonus Tip: After you add the website, click on the icon to apply the Websites Icon to your Card for easy viewing. Finally, you must be on the Log in Page of the Website you want the extension to paste your login into. It automatically adds the Login info to the Login fields while you are on the page. This will allow you to delete saved passwords from Google Chrome and turn off that option if you want to remove that level of concern for privacy, which I am absolutely doing right now. Regarding 'First 4 Characters', look in the settings on your phone or in the PC and Turn OFF the Fast unlock option.
Works flawlessly except sometimes it asks me for the first 4 characters of my password, but it makes me type the full password after even when I correctly type the first 4 characters. Kind of annoying. Why even ask?
I love this app on my smartphone. Great extension on my desktop.
Excellent and secure password manager. Easy to use and syncs with all your devices with the pro version, which is only $5.
I think it is one of the best apps. It asks one time payment.
It works well on windows but I wish it would work on my Chromebook.
STOP ASKING ME TO ENTER THE FIRST 4 CHARACTERS! Give us an option to disable that stupid feature. I do not remember randomly generated passwords, it doesn't make sense.
Works flawlessly. And I love the fact that I store my password DB on my own cloud service.
Have been using this for about a year, first on Android, then added Windows desktop and Chrome extension. Has worked excellent for me. I think the author is doing a great job. Thank you Andrey!
Best password manager I have come across for all platforms
I would appreciate this extension much more if it served as a quick way for me to add passwords (or if it compared against the database) and added them automatically at least in basic form to SafeInCloud. That way, I could go and edit the entry later from the app or PC. At least then it extends usability. The current extension pretends like most modern browsers aren't syncing your passwords anyways so this extension has limited utility.
"SafeInCloud application is not running. Start it and try again." This is all you get,This message constantly pops up. No login or sync. It simply does not work with chromebook. I hope you can fix this then I will give 5 stars.
Chrome plugin is working again. Back to the 5 stars.
The best! Easy to use and you control where your encrypted passwords are stored. Developer keep up the great work. Also on the side note. Please incorporate yubico into your manager.
I love this, give ease on switching windows.
Great app very useful
It's fast and easy to use. It was recommended by a tech support friend who uses it with clients' passwords. Nice app!
This is a great app, best I've used for password management and well worth the Pro version I purchased on Android. The Chrome extension is fairly good and I'm sure will improve over time. I would love to see a one right click "Generate Password" when on a website password field that would automatically use the built in generator. Having it then create a SafeInCloud entry, also automatically, from the rest of the fields would be the ultimate.
Very useful
Doesn't work with Chrome
Chrome link maight need to be updated. It's a great app on Android! Very reliable. Just get the Chrome version to work again.
The app on Android is great, but just like everyone else the extension for Chrome doesn't function at all.
Chrome extension has stopped working. "SafeInCloud application is not running. Start it and try again." Restarting browser or extension made no difference. Shame, I was going to try this as my password vault.
The extension has everything it needs IMO, as it an *extension* for the desktop app. This way I feel, it's safe, it doesn't waste browser's resources, still it does the job. Great!
Chrome extension has stopped working. "SafeInCloud application is not running. Start it and try again."
I should ALWAYS type the password for the extension, even if I set the option "Ask for Password: once a day"
Does not work
I kept getting the common error "Failed to detect login and password input fields on this page. Right-click on them and select 'SafeInCloud' > 'Paste login' or 'Paste password'". Then I finally realized what it was actually noting. Not that you need to login to the extension because you should already have the desktop app installed. It's telling you that when you go to a website that prompts for your user/password to 'right-click' those fields then select SafeInCloud, then whichever option you need (login or password) to paste it in. I went to Facebook, logged out, then in the fields I did the right-clicks and was able to get in. Sweet.
Best Password manager. Please bring auto fill support for Android.
Doesn't work on chrome browser. Sad, I paid the android app.
does not work for me
Finally, a password manager that covers all devices and doesn't cost a fortune. It has worked seamlessly for me. Even allowed me to upload a .csv file to add my information from another app. Great job guys, and thank you so much!!!
No Linux support
Has Chrome Extension Yet not working on my chromebook. I hope it will work on Chromebook when Google Play Store is available on Chromebooks. But making Chrome Extension would be nice too. Thanks The App for Android is wonderful so 4 Stars.
works great on android. won't sync on chrome browser.
Love this app!! Bought the pro version thru google play store and then downloaded the windows app. Finally a password manager that works across all platforms and syncs perfectly! Thank you so much for this app!!! I wouldn't have minded paying more even since I dont have to pay monthly or yearly like some others. Worth every penny!!
I love this application. It works well on by nexus phone, nexus tablet and windows 10 pc. Well worth buying the pro version. However it DOES NOT WORK on CHROMEBOOK. I was disappointed as I thought as it is a chrome extension it would work, but sadly no. So, Andrey a chromebook version would be wonderful, how about it ?
Does not work in chromebook, requires application to be installed.
It was ok till Chrome browser hit version 48. Since then ( no version 50) this extension will not allow multiple logins. It will insert the first login saved and that's it. If you have 2 or more logins for the same website you're out of luck. I am thinking in finding another alternative as my to go password manager.
It works OK, but it does not suggest to save automatically new log-in's, you have to put them in manually. Takes to much time
I keep getting the following: Failed to detect login and password input fields on this page. Right-click on them and select 'SafeInCloud' > 'Paste login' or 'Paste password'.
Failed to detect login and password input fields on this page. Right-click on them and select 'SafeInCloud' > 'Paste login' or 'Paste password'. What does this mean!! I put in the correct password! Not helpful at all.
Works great in Windows and Android but finding some issues when using Chromebook. I would hope there is an easy fix but so far, nothing. I know other PMs work well with a Chromebook...hate to have to switch back.
Geat password manager and can be synced across devises and even in Chrome!
It sucks, you can't use it on your chromebook. On all my other devices. Now I have to switch.
Doesn't work as it should. Hardly ever works when in Chrome browser. Have to use the Desktop app instead. After you enter in password says that it failed to detect username and password fields and that i should copy and paste into those fields.
Does the job, like to find an easier faster way to pull up the app from anywhere without leaving the sign in screen or whatever. Task manager feature on the Galaxy's (at least on my S6 Edge & Note 4 10.1) are helpful, but still cumbersome and easy to lose open pages on any Android. Again, does the job and have had zero password issues since purchasing the pro version! Papa Ski Bear, Hangtown Ca
Loved it when I was using a windows machine. However now that I have Chromebook (Chrome OS), the extension doesn't work. PLEASE FIX! It would also be great to have the full SafeInCloud app for Chrome OS.
I always use it to remember my Password. It's easy to use.
Great application and extension. Pity it can't detect more than 2 fields on a screen. In case (such as banks etc.) you need to enter 3 different strings for identification, the app / extension will grab and use only 2, while you'll have to add the 3rd one manually. That's a REAL nag which was solved in other PMs... Please add this ability.
Only thing that is missing for me is a keyboard shortcut...
I have used this for 12 months now. It works great installed on my computers and Android devices also works well as a Chrome extension. One strong password to manage all
Awesome app.
Really Worth It
Fantastic Password Manager
Does what it designed to do and I have had no problems. You can use a totally random password (safest) on all sites and not have to remember them.
This works really well!!!
Best easiest password manager I've used, now that its integrated into my Android browser it is better then ever. I always recommend it to friends.
is work very good in google chrome in android 4.1.2 but please make available extension for OPERA in windows and for opera in android, it will be perfect
I think this is great. It shares and syncs beautifully across desktop, laptop and mobile via Google drive. I imported a long list of 70-80 passwords kept in an Excel file easily, taking only about 10 mins to tidy up formatting. I have no experience of other pwd managers, but this one does it for me -recommended.
I am so happy I got that one.Othes have a little more to offer, but the development goes one.
THE BEST PASSWORD MANAGER by far - and I have tried most! It's the only one that I have found which will read in data from almost any other PW manager. It's fast, easy and works!
This extension has worked as advertised for a very long time. Now all of a sudden Google Chrome disabled the extension and says the extension may have been corrupted by malware. I tried removing and reinstalling the extension, but as soon as the installation completes Chrome once again says the extension may have been corrupted by malware. What's going on?
I'd enjoy using it better if there was an option NOT to lock it after losing focus or 15 minutes. I hate having to re-enter the password so many times during the day, it's quite annoying.
It works, and it works well. Love it! Probably the best purchase I ever made.
For a supposedly mature app this has got some really bad points in terms of usability --- the way it "closes" as soon as the focus is taken off it -- making it EXTREMELY difficult to learn how to use; the way in which it is TOO DIFFICULT to import/export/sync passwords from other applications -- FAR TOO HARD, do NOT use. And the Android app not only shares these problems, but cannot be integrated into "normal" mobile browsers == really deserves - 400,000 stars, but all I can give it is MINUS ONE STAR
