I'm not sure why I have to pick a Database/Page, and then CLIP a link TO the page (only to delete it) just so I can start Clipping "highlights". It's too damn clunky. I should be able to zip through the web, highlighting things, and have them just SAVE to the page I chose in the Extension (and/or ask me to set the page On Highlight). It's better than the Default Web clipper, while I'm aggregating LOTS of research, but not by much. :/ Copying and Pasting is sometimes just FASTER.

It's not working. Connected it to my Notion and database, and when I try to use it, it doesn't work. I restarted my Chrome and yet it still doesn't work. Waste of time.

It's worse now compared to before, the search is slow and doesn't remember the workspace you used last when making a new form. And I wish it would warn you about duplicate pages I also wish it can sync data without the use of manual exporting.

Knowledge workers need them daily. You can't let go off important things in notion unorganized. Save to notion helps you get there easily.

Had a bad experience subscribing to PRO. During the subscribing process, I signed in using OAuth. That created a PRO account using my GMail. After that, I tried to add a password login, but there seems to be a default password already, so the changing of password workflow cannot work. When I log out and try to log in with OAuth, it created a new FREE account! That now overlaps with my PRO account. I sounded out to Anis for help, but did not receive a reply for 12 days. I wanted to cancel my PRO plan, but that can only be done via a logged in account... So in the end I had to call in to my credit card to block future subscriptions. That said, this app is so much better than the official Notion clipper, and such hiccups are possible for indies app. I'm very happy to pay a subscription just to show my thumbs up. However, I do not like the idea of a subscription floating around that I have trouble cancelling anytime. Hope the author see this review as an encouragement to further improve on not only the app but the intangibles.

Good web clipper when it works, but lately it doesn't most of the time. UPDATE: ok, I found what was the problem: for some reason extension was connected to a wrong table. I'm glad it works again, and I really love new "data on page" feature (especially advanced one)

I used to be able to save emails/newsletter notes but it stopped working. It saves page, but I cant add highlight as plugin can't find entry.. Still works for articles no problem. Is there anyway to fix that? And please bring back the feature "add a note"

Great when it works. But it continually has problems. One of the biggest is that it will often not clip anything. But that is far preferable to when it only clips SOME of the webpage. In this scenario, it misses paragraphs or graphics, so you have to double check against the original. Exhausting. Now only use it occasionally with short text items because I can no longer trust it.

This is a fantastic Extension that I use everyday. Exponentially better than the native Notion Web Clipper in my opinion, with some really helpful functionality, like being able to pre-define property inputs for each Form capture you create, being able to modify & change the property inputs, the page icon, the cover image, etc. You can even select from Related Database properties, or even create new pages inside of those related databases from within the extension. Truly a game changer. As soon as I saw there was an option to go Pro, I saw it as a no-brainer & signed up for a full year. It's relatively easy to troubleshoot if & when there are any problems, and while the menus may not be the most intuitive, the functionality that you hope to be there, is there. It's even possible to export the forms you've setup & import them again just in case you need to reinstall the extension, or have it setup on another browser. 10/10, highly recommended.

Before premium - Work like a charm. Problem list: - Keep loading - If the article is long, it does not capture images. I do not know why!!! - Database, not show (it's kept) We have no problem paying a premium (3$ overpriced) for features with Evernote and a web clipper. If you buy Evernote as a person just for web clipper is cheaper than you. My suggestion is $9.99/year which is good to take. Otherwise, I'm out!

Not working anymore. Just loading, but not showing any of my data (pages or databases).

This is a necessity with notion, my favorite web clipper and more. Helps me keep all the stories, news, info in my notion so i can either connect any information to whatever research area, project that it may apply to, or in the case of news articles or blog post i can connect it to my online library for reading and citing later

Please add back the feature of adding note to the highlight.

10x better than the native Notion extension. Love being able to clip pages & content easily. Wish I could remove forms that I accidentally added/created.

Great extension !! Time Saver and real productive Tool.

This is a great extension when it works. I am using Brave browser and really like the extension. It is easy to use and saves me a lot of time tagged saved pages...BUT, i constantly get the message that I need to enable javascript. One minute the extension is working and I'm getting through my work, then fo no apparent reason, the error pops up and the extension works no more. The only solution is to restart Brave. Maybe it's me and maybe there's an easy fix...if that's the case, I've not found it yet,

Also had the problem that the Save to Notion Clipper stopped working. Eventually I removed and then reinstalled the Chrome extension and it seems to be working again.

It's a great extension for chrome and the likes. But somewhat recent updates have taken away the customization feature that it had for choosing the custom field values from the targeted site to clip in the notion database field. I'd really like the feature as it is another level of clipping method for the sites: like my emails etc. However, if it can be put back I'd appreciate it very much as this would give plenty of other opportunities to explore the websites for various clipping purpose. Please add back the ability to save to a certain template in a database. That was the reason I downloaded the extension at all.

Best free clipper for Notion

It was an amazing extension. But now I have an issue: "No databases or pages found" regardless the amount of active accounts in Notion. Just became useless... sadly :(

At first Chrome kept disabling this extension, but an update to my browser (I'm on Brave) seems to have solved it. I love this tool. Way superior to the Notion Web Clipper. Also, huge huge huge shout out to Anis the creator - I reached about my bugs and issues, and he responded within 30 minutes. After some back and forth chatter over the weekend, things resolved themselves, but besides that, such great communication with a user. Thank you, Anis.

This used to be really good.. why is it not possible to use templates anymore? That was the really important thing here. Now it is basically the same as the native Notion Webclipper

I seriously love the app, but please PLEASE allow for clipping the entire page contents to be optional when you choose the "Extract Content" option.

Please add back the ability to save to a certain template in a database. I used to have a template with a summary and actionabiles section with a /div below and save to notion would paste the article content below the div and it was really good but this has been removed in the new update.

Please god make it work on pdf's somehow it keeps saying it cant do it or please make a compatible on on Microsoft edge! all my research paper is opening on there T^T

I need some help. Save to Notion stopped working today. It attempts to load and then turns blank. Would I lose everything I saved if I uninstalled it? I don't want to have to reconnect everything again. Dropped rating to 3, save to notion is no longer able to load new forms? What's the fix? Will put rating back to 4 or 5 after I get help, thanks.

I can't find my database. It only shows couple of my database actually not couple just a database in one page. The others page's database are missing. I tried everything, clearing cache, cookies, different browser no use. I still get the same list of database. Please help me fix this.

after spending days trying to get various data into notion to no avail i finally found this app. it can get anything into notion -- and in a way that saves time and gets all the desired fields into notion. thank you for creating this! last thing i need is an ability to highlight the notes i've clipped inside notion with my apple stylus. highlighting text in notion pages is oddly difficult -- especially on an ipad or phone.

Great extension thank you! I think there is a simple and big improvement though, as a user who pick 20-30 article and add them into my list weekly, I find very annoyed with the confirmation dialog. it should be optional. I used to use pocket, and it's extension, it was quite simple that i just click to the extension icon and the icon was changing color after page successfully added into pocket, not dialog, no confirmation, not even mentioning that should open in Notion :) Would be great to simplify the usage :)

It is not working with PDFs opened in chrome. This will be a great feature! Also not working with Sci-hub!

Actually, it's not quite helpful.

I only recently started using Notion, and I may not have read the instructions properly, but I understand that is considered one of the best in its field but, somewhat surprisingly, has some limitations in managing reference citations. ArXiv To Notion (notiontools) does what I want but it appears to only do it for https://arxiv.org/. I anticipate there is a market amongst many academics and students for a chrome extension which extends the functionality of Notion to populate a Notion database with one or two clicks from any article or paper with the reference citation and, if available, research subject keywords. In addition to https://arxiv.org/ there are other publicly available research repositories including Youtube, Google Scholar, https://scholar.google.com/, and Elsevier Science Direct, https://www.sciencedirect.com/search. Some researchers may need to regularly employ a variety of citation formats including MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, or Vancouver but I anticipate many students would appreciate being able to select only one of these options. Notion’s own Web Clipper downloads a lot of information I do not need and does not populate the database with most of the reference citation metadata or research subject keywords. I believe Notion also has an interface with academic typesetting software such as LATEX which has significant room for improvement. I anticipate researchers could maintain a database of research they are interested in and when they need to write a document they could export a list of reference citations from Notion and import it into LATEX software. However I am not aware that Notion can do this at the moment. I understood that you requested recommendations for development, I have not used Notion for very long but this is my opinion.

It was working fine until recently when it doesn't show all the databases when searching? When trying to add a new form, a bunch of databases are permanently missing and I'm not able to resolve this problem so the extension is basically useless if you want to save to those databases. Will change my rating if this is fixed.

I loved this right up until it stopped working. I can fill out the information to save to a database but am unable to finish the process. There is no "save to Notion" button anymore. ******** UPDATE ******** Reinstalled it today (08/16/2022) and it's working again! Thank you

I love this, and I had a question; is there any way to move the forms I created to another browser? I have another computer, and I was wondering if there is a way to use the same forms without recreating them on the new browser/computer. I hope it makes sense, and if anyone could help would appreciate it.

I have used this extension for a while now and it is fantastic!!! It hasn't failed on me one and I use it just about every day. The ability to configure extension and select which fields to include is also great. Nice and clean interface. Fast execution. Great Job!

This is excellent, revolutionised my Notion usage and WAY better than the official extension. Very clean and easy to understand UI, DB searching, field handling etc. Note, has been broken for a few weeks for me, but emailed the dev yesterday, and he responded almost immediately with a fixed version (already updated in the webstore). I want to love this, reading down the comments some are getting it to work, youtubers seem to be having a field day... but it doesn't work as intended for me. Sad it was nice, moving to Weava Highlighter, Microsoft Edges new cool tools and good old notion web clipper.

Doesn't work at all ... nothing helped. Reinstalled it. Logged out from Notion. Seemed like a good extension und I wanted to give it a try. Now I switch to the normal Notion webclipper again.

Great extension, you can set a due date and any other fields directly from here so no future editing is needed.

Just removed and re-installed today (July 12, 2022) on Chrome v.103.0.5060.114 and verified the extension is working normally. Seems to be working even when logged into multiple Notion accounts. Also working on MS Edge v.102.0.1245.39 without issue. Attempting to apply a database template upon saving a page still does not work, and never has for the year+ that I've been using the extension. I'd recommend that the developer simply remove the template option. If this extension is not working for you, I recommend removing it from Chrome/Edge, logging out of all Notion accounts, then logging back in and re-installing it.

Edit: It is once again asking for gmail access Using this extension all the time for various databases. Very handy to quickly add entries and add various data to it. There was a point where this asked for reading/modifying gmail access but it seemed to have been a mistake for a planned feature, this has been resolved.

WARNING! This app has been hacked is now has access to our Gmail accounts. Disable this app immediately and remove it until it's taken back from the hack.

The last update asked permission to read and edit data from mail.google.com. Why?

Edit: This extension has yet again asked for access to Gmail, and wont work without it. There was a brief moment when this requested access to gmail but that has been fixed now. I use this all the time, it's really useful. However there are some small and annoying bugs like seeing deleted entries in a relation property. I hope to see this improve over time.

I really like this extension (very much, except for a few minor improvements I'd love to see (such as the ability to set a reminder that includes a time as well as the date, for instance)), to the point I hate saving anything to Notion on my iPhone, which doesn't support this extension (hint, hint!) This is, quite nearly, one of the best extensions I've ever used.

It simply would not save article references using my template, even though it used the template to create the form. It just buffered. I wrote to support. If I ever hear anything back, maybe I'll try again.

I maintain a second brain inside notion and this extension is just perfect. It just made my life 10x easier. Right from tagging to adding links, everything is just 100% easier with Notion. However I'm only able to select databases and not any pages inside a database. This would allows me to save clips from multiple pages inside the same page. But since I'm not able to select an existing page, I have to create a new page from scratch.

I'm not able to access my database even though the notion account is linked. It says no databases found, even though there are quite a few.

I really love the extension. Congratulations. I just couldn't find how to save links to different workspaces or to the same database in different workspaces. It seems that it was supposed to be possible, but no database appears when I try to save to a workspace other than the "original". If this is a bug I hope you can fix it soon. That would definitely warrant 5 stars. xD

This plug-in allows for Notion to be taken to new heights. Especially powerful for very complex notion systems like the one I built for myself. In fact, if possible, there is one feature missing which I think would make this plugin even more powerful. Currently, the plugin allows to assign a template, which in itself is fantastic. However, it would be even greater if the plugin could read/write the content stored within the selected template and allow the template entry fields to be populated as well. Wonderful extension. I would gladly pay for it.

Easily the best clipper for Notion. Just works. Great interface. You can bypass your inbox and directly store to chosen database. Supports highlighting so no more Diigo. Allows capture of emails. Excellent product and getting better. Highly recommended.

Love this extension but it seems to not work on my new Macbook 2021 16" M1 Pro. After about 5 minutes of it attempting it returned this message "ailed to fetch the Notion Template, please check that it exists (SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at positio...)" I did reinstall the plug in and restart my laptop but it didn't work. Let me know if there is anything I can do! I really love this plugin.

Is it just me or the clipper cannot find most of my databases which are deep in hierarchy?

Maybe I have been too enthusiastic on my first review: it worked fine for a few hours (first installation yesterday), now it does not want to save the content of pages. For some pages, it won't take the tables, or parts of tables. For other pages, it won't clip anything at all!

The extension is wonderful! Best clipper for Notion. Only area I'd suggest for improvement is to either allow for syncing settings between browsers, or to allow for settings import/export. Otherwise, I love this extension. Well done!

I really loved this extension over the default web clipper because of the ability to customize the clipped content and default fields. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be working with templates anymore for me. I've tried logging and out, reinstalling, using new templates, and I got nothing.

Much more customizable than the web clipper from the Notion team. Takes some setup, but can make adding items to specific Notion databases much easier. The main issue I have with it is that I use a few different computers and don't want to do the setup on every computer. I wish there was a way to sync settings. Love it, extremely useful but please add the following two things to make it perfect. 1. Clip full page content should be a tickbox for each time you save just above the add new page button, as sometimes you dont want the full page content and then you need to go to goto settings to change it each time, an unnecessary extra step 2. Option to insert either into the top or bottom of a the selected database 3. Add ability to save highlighted text from the current webpage to the end of any page

By far the best web clipper for notion because it allows you to map custom fields information before you save the record to notion! Life saver!!

Awesome plugins. I used the clip books to my Notion database. What can make this plugins better is to extract text given XPATH or CSS selector (this may be too advance for most people).

Notion should hire the developer. There's no reason this shouldn't be the default web clipper.

Very good extension! ????I love being able to save different forms for saving webpages to different databases or templates in Notion. I see some say it doesn't clip the entire page contents, but it does for me. It also appends any highlights I add (right click and add highlights to Notion) from the page to the file in Notion. Brilliant if you ask me. Utterly brilliant!

One of the best tool for notion. Super useful extension. A suggestion : Setting up the extension can be time consuming. Could be really cool to be able to export and import the settings to be able to export the settings to another chrome user for instance.
