the old layout was WAY WAY better.. now I have to read the left side panel .. how do I get back to old layout?

Love the product, but the new UI is not good!!

Used to love visiting ProductHunt website daily over the years, but then they have updated the UI and it completely ruined it for me. I switched to this extension two years ago since it was closest alternative to the original ProductHunt's look&feel and was 100% happy with it. Used it everyday and loved it. Until today you've added a sidebar with complete nonsense like a clock and weather block..??? followed with a dumb day-streak calculator and also broken product grid AGAIN! Omg, why are you guys doing it everytime, don't break things that work!

Great extension. But, I would love an option to show/hide bookmarks.

The 3 grid layout is incredible and I view almost every site every single day.

As everyone else, I am angry about new tab issue.

I loved it at first but I noticed that it was killing my CPU (100+%). I'd use it if it weren't for this!

I really love this extension.

Everyday now, I have to re-do my settings because they never save properly. There's too much space being wasted and I only see the first 6 items and half of 7,8,9 when I could easily fit 12 in the screen. I use VPN everyday so the weather widget part is just annoying. Even though my chrome account is logged in, product hunt always logs out, it's the same account and nothing changed. I really think this is a step backwards.

Edit: They brought the grid view back and the ability to hide their new goals section, changing my rating to 5 stars! Original: They removed the best part of the extension, the image previews of the product pages. Being able to see a glimpse of what the top products look like in the grid view is what engaged me. Their website being a list of text and icons loses me immediately, and this identical layout in the chrome extension will too. Uninstalled.

This chrome extension from Product Hunt has gotten progressively worse over the last few months. And the new design is a complete turn-off. This from someone who used to look forward to discovering new stuff on PH everyday - I mean, that was the entire purpose of me installing this extension, so that I could find new products without visiting the website every single time. But now, this new design has slowed down my new tabs considerably. To top it off, it's been showing me a blank white screen since this morning. Also, I don't want an Intercom live chat box in my new tabs either. Please fix this. I'm removing this *disappointing* extension from my browser, until I'm convinced that they've turned things around and made this extension better than what it was, not worse.

#1 Disable location and weather useless and slow down the loading of page/new tab #2 Get back the grid / mosaic view or at least leave the choice with a different view: by the grid, by upvote, by comments, most view, most controversial, by only certain type of categories at the certain time of the day... that would a beginning of updates with new features

I used to check PH multiple times a day, everyday, for the past 3+ years. The new layout has been an immediate turnoff. Please at least give the option to use the old platform? Please? Thanks!

Really, really, dislike the new layout. Not sure it's at *hate* level, but it's very close. PLEASE PUT IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. I much prefer the old grid layout – which was easy to see all at once – to the new list, which requires scrolling. THUMBS DOWN. And I want to sign in to participate, but doing so adds a superfluous, sophomoric "task list" that you can't turn off. #SOAGGRAVATING. This used to be my GO-TO new tab… but now I'm ridiculously close to deleting this extension. UPDATE: Removed. #done

Basically spyware! The extension can access your chrome history and your location for no good reason whatsoever. Sick and tired of these companies abusing their user by changing their terms and services. Delete to never reinstall again!

extension was a bit annoying in that it hijacked searches with "product" ... the worst is when the new version of the extension requires to know my location ... really? no way to disable their extension for location, except by uninstalling ... done!

I can't even deal with the new layout. Its way slower at loading, not even talking about image load, just the page itself is slower at loading. Images are about the same. I have yet to engage with anything on there since the update. Thus, its being uninstalled. Sorry just don't care for the new layout.

Please give us the option to select our own preferred layouts on the default screen in our browsers, the previous layout was much easier to see what things were before choosing to click on one. I preferred that experience over this new one.

Sorry Ryan, I've been a PH fan for years but you've forced a big design change on us with no explanation. The grid layout was much nicer as a new tab page. Doubt I'll keep that setting with this new design, it just doesn't have the same aesthetic, particularly in a work setting where people can often see my screen.

Removing this plugin since it is asking for physical location.

I have been using product hunt from over a year. Been loving it everyday. But this new design is just plain useless and awful. We really want the old layout back!! Please.

Please add back the grid view! :( At least an option to switch from the new infinite list to the 9 best of the day grid. That was the main purpose I used this extension and loved it.

I never install extensions that are not open source. It's too risky.

One star for the new permission asking for location. Bring back the old design.

The new layout defeats the purpose of using this extension. I just want to see screenshots of the 9 products for the day, not see gifs, task lists, weather, etc

Just got the new update and the grid view is gone - please add an option to show a grid view. I use this extension for the new tab page and the updated version is a step backwards.

I actually like having my new tab be product hunt, but it is annoying that when a right click and open in a new tab, it opens the image in a new tab and not the actual page. Easy problem to solve. Lowering review due to problem still existing... This is sloppy. This extension hasn't been update in almost 4 years!!! fix it, make it better!

#1 issue: stop hijacking my new tab page. I cant even disable and then re-enable my other new tab extension, I have to entirely reinstall it, even AFTER i've checked the box for not making it default. I know it says its a bug - fix it. it's annoying. The additional features this provides are kind of minimal and don't make up for the annoyance of the whole new tab thing. Fix that and maybe people can look at it with a different perspective.

Doesn't do anything. Only hijacks your New Tab page. This is not clear before installing the extension and permission do so is never requested.

I like and expected it to take over my new tab page, however it is slow and when I try to upvote it takes forever to/doesn't load so I can't vote. But a nifty discovery tool

It would be an great App if they'd remove the part that hijacks my New Tab Page WITHOUT explicitly telling me until it happened. I had to disable the app in order to get my new tab page back working as it should. The app has now been removed until the developer can get it working and giving the person an option to change it ONLY IF they want to.

It is really slow. Open something you like. Click on the ProductHunt Icon to upvote. Waited for minutes. Nothing happened.... Please fix this.

It replaced my my Tab page! No way to restore it! What a stupid product decision! How can a product hunting site designed such a stupid plugin!

hijacked my home page, can't change it back

Not sure on how they got from "read and change content on your sites" to taking my new tab, but I did not agree to that and it's really annoying. Removing it now and not installing it ever again

In theory, I thought this would be a good extension, but there were 2 critical issues: (1) Taking over my new tabs without my permission, and not allowing me to go back to default (without deleting the extension) is not cool. (2) On the new tab window, you can't even upvote. Clicking to vote takes you to the product's webpage. That doesn't even make sense. Sadly, this extension lasted less than 24 hours.

Did not like the fact that the extension changed my new tab setting without asking and then when disabled did not automatically reset the original new tab setting. Not a good experience. Leave my settings alone unless I say it's ok!

I used to love this extension, but I think there has recently been an update that won't allow me to add a product to my collections from the the toolbar. It is inconvenient having to go to the Product Hunt homepage just so I can add something to my collection...I might as well delete this extension and make Product Hunt my home page

Hijacked my New Tabs page. Not what I expected or wanted.

I like the extension, but... * last version, released on 15th of Apr, when you click on a product box, it sends you to the product's home page, instead on the ProductHunt tab of the product. So you cannot easily read the comments or upvote from the extension * previous versions, when clicked on a product, the tab would show up, but it wouldn't have any share buttons, so if you want to share a product you need to search it on product hunt and use the buttons there.

I love the idea of product hunt being PART of my new tab, but completely replacing all the functionality that I get out of opening a new tab (quick access to google drive, my gmail, frequently opened websites) made this a disable extension for myself. Hopefully the devs can create a better user experience (please and thank you).

Great overall, but the "disable default tab" option also kills the new tab from other extensions (eg, the "Google Art Project" extension). New tab is just a blank white screen with both extensions enabled.

Love the extension (especially the new tab page), but it outputs to console a message to download the React DevTools extension which is really annoying. Disabled for now.

Adds a "Download the React DevTools for a better development experience: http://fb.me/react-devtools" to the Inspector Console on every page, which is kind of annoying. Otherwise great

Um, after installing this, every new tab that is opened says Product Hunt on it and it brings up their page. Are you KIDDING ME!!!???

Love the product bar, very cool. The product tab, not so cool, and it conflicts with Momentum. Won't allow Momentum to show even when the product bar is disabled in the options. A fix would be awesome!
