So it seems to remove like 80% of history but the rest seems to get through so it's not very useful

Solved my issue where I cannot remove search suggestions based on recent browser history. I was going insane for an hour trying to turn that off, it seems google have broken or intentionally broken that option

On websites/webapps that use a certain front-end framework (like Google Calendar and Home Assistant), closing dialog boxes can cause the extension to also trigger a browser "back" action, resulting in not only the dialog box closing (as intended), but also going back an additional state/page in the webapp. I thought this was a chrome issue for a very long time and only recently discovered it's because of this addon.

I've been using this extension for a while now and it does a pretty good job at automatically removing my browsing history. However, every once in a while a history entry manages to slip through and not get removed, but still, great extension. This extension does have a bug with some Google services like Google Forms and Google Calendar, causing them to refresh or go back, but it works perfectly with most websites.

This is a pretty simple extension that does what it claims to do. However, I encountered a peculiar issue: when I visit Google Calendar and create / edit / delete an event, Chrome pops up a dialog reading: "Leave site?" - this *only* occurs when running the No History extension, and stopped happening when I disabled or removed No History. I had to unload the extension and switch to an alternative extension that doesn't cause this behavior.

I actually like this extension but there are two bugs in two different chrome web apps that drop this down to 2 stars. First is Google Meet. 1. Go to https://meet.google.com/ 2. Click 'New Meeting' -> 'Start an Instant Meeting' 3. Click to Settings 4. Exit Settings This exits the Meeting. Second is Google Tasks. 1. Go to https://tasks.google.com/embed/?origin=https://calendar.google.com&fullWidth=1 (opens Google Tasks as a standalone website) 2. Switch tasks lists twice This exits Google Tasks. I don't know why this extension is doing this, but it's hitting the 'back' button on the browser. Turning this extension on and off enables/disables the bugs I mentioned above.

doesnt work, still records all history. im just gonna have to switch to firefox because my history will always be kept.

Some websites do not work properly with this extension. Needs a white list.

BUG caused by this extension: If you are in any website, and then go to news.google.com, if you try the search box on the top and then exit it it goes back to the previous page!

really good all you have to do is settings > advanced sync and switch off history

I've been using it for years. I can't really complain. However, recently, I discovered that I can't create Google Calendar events when this plugin is enabled >.<

I have done everything and redid everything suggested and it still does not work. Even the clear browsing tab on the no history icon still nothing

sorry it works some times and then it doesn't you have to uninstall and reinstall it after google updates it's web browser

this app does nothing. you still have to manually delete history. It is unfair that everything is recorded these days. Maybe best to just not even have the internet.

It works 99% of the time, but the address bar will still randomly save searches-- just to annoy you, presumably. Leaky, and thus infuriating.

It works well. No Issues. History is removed. Although, if you have Chrome on your Taskbar and you right click, it still shows webpages in "Recently Closed". I think this is a small missed feature that should be added. If I do the usual Chrome way to Clear History, the "Recently Closed" is removed.

Worst extension ever. now url field not showing any past written url, so my auto complete ruined.

Does its job but you need to do unsync history yourself: Unsyncing history for dummies: Go to settings then go to advance sync settings then change 'sync everything' to 'choose what to sync' and untick history. Done.

Note to developer: This works, but you really need to fix the bug that makes your real history show up if you look at "recently closed". Great job though!

While my browsing history is not shown in the actual history page, it still shows the sites visited in the Chrome browser menu. I still have to click on the Clear Browsing Data button to delete all of the history. I'll update my review once this issue has been addressed.

IT doesn't really stop chrome from storing history, it just kind of makes it invisible. It still shows up in the recently closed tabs and in the search bar. However it doesn't show any history on the ctrl+H page.

Heh... History is clear, but everyone can see recently opened pages from "Recently closed" menu. No sense in such extension...

This extension can disable my private browsing history.

The app clears all the History that shows after Pressing "CTRL+H" but still shows them on "Chrome menu", "History and recent tabs" Hops gets fix soon.

I love it.

Still working for me, easy and intuitive. Of course, this extension is pointless if you're not logged into Google during your session and if you use something like Piriform CCleaner to erase spyjunk from your system after each Chrome session.

This extension recently stopped working for me, but I did what someone else here mentioned and it fixed the problem. Go to Chrome's "Advanced sync settings" and uncheck the "History" box. The extension should start working again.

Didn't work for me either. Either state of the button continued to record history in Chrome on Mac OS X.

If you want to turn it on, after you downloaded it: Turn it first off and then on again. That worked for me.

Doesn't work

THIS WORKS the dev just never mentioned you have to go to "Settings > Advanced Sync Settings > uncheck History" to get it to work properly! If you don't do this your history will be logged, it just won't come up in the address bar.

can you make this extension only stop from save the current history and save the old one? if you can do that.. it will be amazing because i love to kept my old history. it easy just to click again..

Extension is not working. Chrome is still keeping history records and does not delete 'current history'. Please fix.

No matter what I do on my laptop this extension does not work. I watched his link to the youtube video and did exactly as he did but there was absolutely no change whatsoever to not recording history. Whether running or not, history is still recorded.

Works great although it deletes stored passwords as well, including my Google account. Would be nice to have settings to only delete certain sections.

I could not get it to work at all until I saw Austin Weavers helpful review. He said "go into Chrome's "Advanced sync settings" and uncheck history" Doing that fixed it and it works great now!

Doesn't work. It only seemed to work on History Extensions like e-history, but when viewing it through Chrome's default history it does not work.

For some reason, it works for me (Latest Chrome on Linux). But be advised: there is still at least one place where your history is recorded: enter about:DNS into the address bar and you will see your complete history. This can be cleared by deleting history and cache using the builtin function by chrome (it is NOT cleared when clearing the history using the button of the addon!).

Just installed this and sadly, it's not working. Went through all the exact same steps as developer's video, but it still doesn't prevent history from being recorded, nor will it clear current history. :( (Win 7, Chrome Version 30.0.1599.47 beta-m)

Just installed and unfortunately I have to also report that its not working. Neither clear existing history nor stop recording new history. Seems broken. Oh well, nice concept!

I don't know why everyone says it doesn't work, I've had it for a long time now and it hasn't been a problem from the start.

This app stopped working for me recently, but I got it to work again by going into Chrome's "Advanced sync settings" and unchecking history. So if this isn't working for you, try that fix.

I used this as well. From what I have read and did my research on, Google disabled history removing extensions/addons.

I love this app; I've had it for as long as i can remember. Although for some reason, it stopped working for me and everyone else, and I can't even clear my browser history through the extension now. Me and the 25 thousand users would be really happy if you could fix this bug. Thanks!

For those who are still seeing previous pages, just uncheck history sync in Advanced sync settings and it will work again.
