I want my task to be over soon. At least it should get the task done faster than a human.

As a Product Owner and Manager, this tool has saved me countless hours of manual effort. I would highly recommend this plugin to anyone who has to frequently perform the same actions in your browser over and over again. I also use it to set up demoes of new functionality so I don't have to muddle through time consuming manual setup steps, instead I can get right to the stuff that really matters. Thank you Katalon Recorder team!

its amaizing i love it.its perfect and easy to use

After installing and using this extension my browser was HIJACKED and Google search starts redirect me to Bing. It's terrible. I didn't install any other extension for a while. So I'm sure it happened after this one.

I do love this thing. It has helped me so much in my work. I do have some feedback: for more complicated scripts, it is hard to find how to do something, or to trouble shoot an error. One of my bigger issues is Web scraping, sometimes it works 100%, other times it will only capture a few. I'm thinking it is due to cookies and deleting cookies each time has really improved it's performance. But I feel there is so much more to learn, but there isn't really a master class on this. The sample projects can be useful, but they are simple. I am still learning, and the forum does help a lot. I still rate this high, because how much it has helped me and the potential of learning more and having it work for me even better.

This is excellent. Web UI can be automated in no times. Only complain, the documentation is very poor.

complicated and not productive

I thought it was improvement of Selenium IDE, turns out it just broke as hell. Much more difficult than Selenium. Cannot import to Katalon Studio, always error. Some commands are just not working.

Update 5.7.0 has broken textfield. Cannot edit command, target and value.

Is there a bitcoin miner attached? When opening a new chrome tab, Katalon recorder force my fans to spin at max. When inspecting chrome task manager, it says the new tab consumes 100% CPU. Removing 1 extension at a time, I landed on Katalon recorder being the root cause. Removed it right away to have my PC return to normal.

It just limits you. Too many restrictions. Can't even test the product due to daily limits. Uninstalling it.

The extension is easy to use and fit my immediate need. I just wish the extension supported custom variables so I didn't have to edit every single test with my data every time I want to run a suite. I attempted to use the full Katalon Studio and that's way more involved to get working.

Working very nicely, I needed to improve code since some id's of the elements was changing, but that is not the problem of this extension. Thanks

The devs keep trying to ruin user experience after each update. Unnecessary changes the UI, asking for review while I'm in between something very important. PATHETIC!!!

You can open them, but is it possible to export the tests as selenium IDE files?

Best tool for selenium script

Work a little bit more on video tutorials. Your documentation is either outdated or doesn't seem to work when I'm trying to apply it. I have wasted a pretty good part of the day in trying to get a simple thing to work and can't do it.

Hello, I been very happy with this automation tool its just what i've been looking for in building a robust test automation regression test suite environment.

Pretty easy to use, hoping dev will keep updating the webdriver functionalities. Also it will be nice to be able to run target test suites within command window for better test suites management. Ex. instead of gotolabel have something like gotosuite or gototestcase

Great web automation tool, great Selenium and iMacros replacement. The developers support this tool very well and unlike some greedy companies, haven't ruined this product by crippling it for all but paid users.

I was shoked! this is one of the best web automation extentions ever made. when i saw that there is a code export in different programming languages, i was speechless....

Impossible to write and evaluate expressions to compare between strings. Oftentimes, the extension does not append commands to a test case through recording -> have to close the window and reopen it. Overall, I had a very difficult time setting things up. Extension is not intuitive for developers at all when it comes to end-to-end testing. Useless extension!

I used to love Katalon, but over the past month or so, the multitude of pop-ups is starting to get old fast. If this keeps up, I will be switching to a different automation software that doesn't harass the end user with a million pop-ups.

I love this extension it has made it easier for me to screen record projects and is not complicated at all I wish i had downloaded it sooner to be honest

I couldn't figure out why my chrome was crashing for a few days... turns out it was this extension. Strange that it is somehow using resources while supposedly inactive? Crashes occured on google pages (google search, hangouts, maps).

I have tried UI.Vision RPA and Chromium Browser Automation they both useless and user unfriendly, just wasting time with trying those, but this app is great. Not sure why the asterisk didnt disappear after the name of the Test suite/case after logging in to cloud, also trying to figure out it is possible to bind a keystroke to a test case, i guess i try Katalon Studio.

Must try. NO coding required. However, if you start your recording. Make the first page start.me because you can custom list your links for katalon recorder to launch from. These two are powerful tools

It actually works! Over the years I have tried several Chrome recorders for playback and none of them actually worked. I nearly fell off my chair and fainted when this worked perfectly, as expected, across multiple screens, and through a fairly complex set of steps.

This was a five-star extension. Now version 3.9.1 crashes every other play back. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

It was okay but exported Katalon Test case is not working if imported to Katalon Studio. It would be helpful if that works. That why we are automating the test not to debug the error.

Oh my, what a great extension for Chrome. I enter online sweepstakes as a hobby. This macro is spot on accurate for auto-filling sweepstakes forms including auto-filling radio buttons and checkboxes. I thought it was going to be difficult to learn to use. I was wrong. I think it took me a whole 5 minutes to figure out how to use this macro utility for sweepstakes forms. For something as simple as what I use this app for Katalon Recorder is so easy to use. Just click on the "new" button, type in the name of the macro you will be executing, hit "record", then go about navigating your movements on your computer including how you want the sweepstakes form on a web page to be filled out, finally go back to Katalon and click "stop." That's it. To test your new macro simply click on "play" and watch the magic begin. I might mention that the recorded macro executes the web page commands very quickly. A total time saver for us sweepers. I highly recommend Katalon Recorder for sweepers. One final note, I don't recommend sweepers include a command to automatically click on the "enter" button on a sweepstakes form as this might disqualify your entry. Manually click on "enter" buttons yourself.

A great replacement for the legacy Selenium IDE Firefox plug-in and a superior product to the new Selenium IDE. My only complaint is the over-recording of certain actions. Clicking on a page when switching windows can be needlessly captured, as well as clicking into edit boxes. Over-recording drop down interactions, while easy to clean up prior to export or replay, is annoying. Otherwise, a great tool to have in your Selenium arsenal, especially when starting a new project and looking to build some quick scripts.

Very good! BUT... when you export a file to Java (Webdriver + Junit) it got a error for unsupported commands switch frames.

After trying this best testing automation tool, I was amazed how fast to create test case for web application. Love it...

I've only used it as a replay tool but it does exactly what I need it to.

I noticed that you can export scripts to Python 2. Are there any plans to be able to export to Python 3+ as well ??? In the meantime, I just use the C# MSTest export. The export feature is really great. I hope, the Export feature will always be maintained/updated as it helps speed up automation. Any plans to add test reports/logs to the Katalon Recorder ? Thanks for developing this product. Much appreciated.

Great start! Please make the Ruby export valid ruby. Currently it exports the script with ${receiver} where it should be @driver in the element_present? and alert_present? and close_alert_and_get_its_text methods

I had a lot of repetitive work with the same buttons. This was easy to install, easy to record, and simply easy to use overall.

Hi Dev team, this is a great extension. However I wonder why dragAndDropToObject() is not working on my page. So this function first parameter is a "Target" in a command and second parameter is a "Value" in a command, right? I configured both parameters with correct locator values, still it does nothing and no error either. Could I get any tips from you guys? Thank you so much.

Excellent work. I'm not strong in modern programming language but are quite familiar with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Excel. Could you enable a feature to export the recorded codes to VBA (using SeleniumBasic) as well. Or is there an easy way to convert it to SeleniumBasic VBA script easily.

Screen capture failed. the export to python is a nice feature but the translation is not accurate and xpath is not created so has to be done manually.

Three months back i started using Katalon Studio(Automation Testing Tool) its really doing best and i found small bugs in that while handling multiple windows.. i think they will fix that. And now Katalon Recorder really going to be the one of the best Tool for recording.... best is it can support chorme and firefox....I Love it....

This is a very good recording tool. But the export to robotframework feature is very pool. And export feature without defaut option. I need to select so many time to export robotframe work script. I hope this tool support robotframework native keyword, other than using selenium2Library.root keywords. can you fix it, thanks

Thanks Katalon team for creating this extension. I was in search for Chrome extension that similar to Selenium IDE since I'm a Chrome fan. Katalon Recorder offers same features as Selenium IDE including Record and Playback, all Selenese commands, export to variety of Scripting Languages and Frameworks. It's very easy to use and friendly UI. Nice job Katalon team!
