I have a lot of reading for school and I've been losing my mind. I decided to search for bionic reader extensions and found this. I just barely downloaded it and I'm obsessed (I tried another one first and it didn't work). It won't change an active Google Doc, so I downloaded it as a web page (html, zipped), opened that in Chrome, and voilà! It's not perfect (for example, it's not doing anything to this review page), but where it can work, it works beautifully. The panel for adjusting/customizing your settings is has a great UX and UI.

Looks a little janky sometimes, but incredible extension with that aside. Also a suggestion: Maybe at least an option to disable bionic formatting for bold text or some other way to seperate it from other text?

Oh Em Gee!!! I just discovered what bionic reading is and BOY-oh-BOY do I wish I had this when I was in school!! I sometimes would have dyslexia and ADHD-like symptoms while trying to study and this right here!!! This right hereeeeeeeeeee!!!! This is so great, easy to use and super customizable. I previously tried a different one and it didn't work on every page. I sometimes need it for work emails and this worked and is just a life saver. Now i will actually be the "Cortana" my friends call me ? I'll even be able to read through game guides 17x faster now. Devs.... you are amazing! Thank you for this gem, like.... seriously life changing! ?

What a beauty of an extension. Thank you Jiffy Reader. I went for the "official" bionic reader extensions and it didn't work AT ALL, perhaps because they have a webap or some other nonsense. This extension will be ALL you need to view any page you like using the bionic reading method. For me, the default settings are perfect, but there are a ton of readily understandable and accessible tweaks you can make to customize to your heart's desire. It's the only alternative I've tried to the official extension, but it's better and imo it's the best available. There are two improvements I'd like to see: 1. Make it activated by default on a site per site basis. 2. allow highlighting a selection words to be converted to bionic text. Would make for a good context menu entry - Which of course should be removeable from the settings if you don't use that feature and don't want to clutter your (probably) already cluttered context menus.

Literally saved my life, the extension works with my University assignment website. The best and only easy to use extension by far!

works fine on websites but doesn't work with HTML converted PDFs :(

I love it, but there's an issue in Google Books, activating it adds a scrollbar. It would be awesome to have a way via this extension to prevent this.

This is single handily the most ilife changing extension I have ever come across. I am 50 and have always struggled with comprehension and being able concentrate on reading. This is a game changer. I happily purchased a cup of coffee to JiffyReader and you should too if you enjoy jiffy reader.

I have ADHD, and a million readings to do with university, and this was the PERFECT solution to my issue in concentrating, it helped me so so so much, and I am forever grateful for this extension!!

I would definitely agree with others on here that this is probably the best Bionic reader extension out there. I think the reason it doesn't have a lot of reviews must be that it doesn't come back for me when searching "bionic" in the Chrome web store. Hopefully they can figure out a way to get their reader included. This works well for me and is quick to convert and easy to activate (I use the Alt+B keyboard shortcut).

Works pretty well, best one of these 'Bionic reading' apps that I could find, surprised it only has 32 reviews as well as it works.

Works great. Are you able to make a plugin for external pdf readers like Foxit Reader or Wondershare PDFElement? I'd gladly pay for that.

Wow, I love this extension.It's like he's always on the web, making headers bigger.Each paragraph is set in a large font.(Ask developers to have consideration later, open.Can the Line Height be lowered below 100, and the function of unifying text size across all sites?).

This webstore app will help you read better, long and more. If you have dyslexia this will make you love reading again and you might lose track of time reading because this works very well if your brain. Rate this app 10 out of 10 Stars. Google Play Books, works great with it.

Thank you this is the best reading app I've downloaded, and I've tried them all. Love the fact I can turn it off so easily and also make it only turn on in certain sites. There seems to be one issue, don't know if it can be fixed, but it does not seem to work on PDF's read on the browser.

An update in the meantime fixed the problem and the extension is working as expected again. Previous: Sadly the most recent update completely breaks the extension. No setting seems to do anything, also removing and adding it again doesn't seem to fix this.

doesn't work. the buttons on the extension apparently do nothing, clicking the restore defaults button doesn't work, and reloading even when you click the global button disables it.

Bug Report: While turning on Reading Mode by default I can't visit https://www.notion.so/help. The error page show "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)". When turning off Reading Mode the page become accessible.

Good extension, enjoying reading with it. One complaint which keeps me from really loving it; It appears to make some buttons unclickable. I assume this has something to do with the way it changes the text on them. Not sure if it's just me, but I had issues with it on Google Sign-in page, Youtube sign-in button, and my banking website's log-in button.

I can really read text fast if it's first letter and some more are bold. This is a great extension, thanks to the developers!!

Does what it says it does

Bionic reading works for me and this extension is surprisingly really well implemented into everyday surfing compared to the official Bionic reading or other third party extensions, which only really convert or are more suited for articles. I hope many more features are coming, such as a blacklist/whitelist for sites in which the extension should be enabled on, a setting for the weight of the font, etc. Currently it does break spacing on certain websites such as LinkedIn but it's not a big deal as you can just toggle it (that's why there should be a blacklist however). It also turns some characters into � (again especially on LinkedIn as far as I know).
