It looks like the previous bug complaints seen in the previous threads have been fixed in release 1.7. Thank you, Andrey, for developing and polishing the program. It worked fine and produced a very nice set of text files containing the Yahoo Notes. Best regards, Rich C
Works great! Just installed it, because I don't want to lose my old notes. I feel much better having a local copy of my notes now, just in case.
Thank you so much! This is lifesaver for us ancient Yahoo users.
I'm sorry, but it's not working to me: Exception: TypeError: Cannot read property 'split' of undefined ... /scripts/backup.js:13:37
Excellent Tool...was able to export all my notes as txt to be able to quickly edit using google docs.
Finally started working for me after the last update!
Don't see any evidence the app is working after choosing "TXT Backup" or "JSON Backup." Don't see any indication of the zip file that is supposedly being produced - not in the Chrome Downloads folder; not in the PC Downloads folder. Where is it? Is it doing anything? If so, where is the result?
Thank you! I've wanted to move my notepad for ages, and now I've got a straightforward text copy that I can use on my computer or save to Google Drive.
Worked like a charm. Was not slow at all.
So glad I found this!! You never know when Yahoo is going to stop supporting Notepad. Having a way to export my Notes is a huge comfort. This extension works exactly as as described!! Thank you!!
Excellent. Does exactly what I needed. I don't care if it is as another reviewer says "slow"; take your time! Yahoo could have easily provided this straight-forward JSON/extract function themselves. Phooey on Yahoo! Andrey, thank you for the backup.js file and others. Nice starter kit for other projects and good tutorial.
Great. Worked exactly as advertised and extracted my notes form the deprecated Yahoo! Notepad as text files allowing me to import them to EverNote or OneNote at my leisure.
Not bad, but slow AF.
