Click on extension, gives message that it is loading and never loads :(

I wasn't aware that if the page closed, all the highlights would disappear. My pages were all acidentally closed and all of the highlighting i did to help with my assignment was gone. Not helpful.

It mixed up normal selection behavior -it is a nasty bug in version 1.8.2. Deselect with mouse stopped working. Nov 4, 2020. I have many extensions and had to disable them one by one to find this sneaky nasty extension. And since it is at the end of the alphabetical list, I tested it last.

Just click it and use it. Easy and exactly what I want.

Tried several extensions for highlighting text on web pages. This one finally worked.

When I click on it, it doesn't activate. Frustrating.

It is a handy extension. I have been using it for so long, only because there are no other alternatives. I just find it annoying that the pop-ups are always there. also I wish it was possible to undo highlights. Sometimes I accidentally highlight wrong words and so I would have to refresh the entire page thereby deleting all of the highlights I have done so far. Finally, it would be better if the highlights were saved not in marker.to's archive but rather in my own drive. I would always have to save the bookmark of that highlighted page and sometimes it takes forever to load. Overall, it is an extension with so much potential. It just needs to improve on certain aspects. I hope to see it improve in the future

It exceptional tool at first until you realize it does not have an undo function or a delete highlighted portion, which is such a bummer! It so easy to drag the mouse right across the whole page and in one single move you can make hours of effort of highlighting the page absolutely useless. Please put an undo button, till then its a dangerous tool...

I like this. It is great when you figure out how to use it! Here are instructions on how to use it with a PC... When you highlight text on a page, the highlight doesn't remain on the page. But you can easily find the page and highlights again. If you right click on your highlighter icon in the Chrome bar (at the top of the page), a drop down list appears. Choose "options". In a split second you are at another page with two links. Choose the second link that says, "visit your highlighted pages". Now you see a convenient list of the page titles where your highlights are. Just click on the link you want and it takes you to the page with highlights showing. It is a great library of your links. So easy to use. Efficient for navigating to a particular page with highlights. AND, you can add tags to the pages in the list. It is exactly what I wanted.

It works pretty much how I need it and is free no adds or anything and is very simple to use!

Little tricky at first but work well.. Just what I needed. The other one's that are out there just suck.. you either have to log-in to use it, type in words, or pay to use it... Thank You..

this is very nice. I can highlight my important lines or passages in webpage or pdf files......superb

Simple tool, does the trick. Highlight while reading long texts online. I use other tools to really study on pdf or when I need to keep my notes for the future. But for a one time read online, this works perfectly.

Very easy to highlight the WHOLE page and then all of your work is lost. If it worked with "undo" functions the it would be fine. Bad app.

I've been using this since I entered law school.Been using this to digest my cases. Simple yet very functional.

It stopped working. And 1/2 the time when you went to your saved link, the highlights dissapeared

It works on web pages only. Does not work on emails or internal communication, which where I need a highlighter.

Simple and easy to use. Have not figured out how to print WITH the highlights, though. I am a highlighter, carrying at least 3 colors with me at all times! Any chance we could get option for Blaze Orange or Blaze Pink?

The simplest tool I have use works exactly how I would expect. Simply to turn it on and highlight a section with your cursor (no right clicking necessary!)

Beware - Shares the page you highlight to their website. No warning in the extension about this, and no way to disable it.

It was great for a while but now all of a sudden it no longer works when I click it.

Easy to use

I shop frequently at many retailers like Lowes and when I search for merchandise those sites have mappings as to where to find your item in the store. I love this app because I can simply highlight the item location and proceed to print the page and that's easier for me to read when I go to the store. Great and versatile app.

What a great tool for anyone who are promoting the content of their website.

Wonderful. Worked like a charm. No problem. As expected. Did not checked if it can work when saved offline on disk!

I installed it... It highlights but the context menu doesn't appear to alter the highlight including DELETING a highlight. And, apparently while the Tweet box is still active so is the highlighter and anything you click on becomes highlighted. In fact... now I'm changing my rating from three starts to two. I'll likely end up deleting.

It only works with some documents and not all. I can't get anyone to tell me why and what to do.

This is awkward, every time i manage to highlight any text ..a popup msg contains a link to my highlighted webpage! plz tell me this link when i finish highlighting ..not after every step of highlighting!!

It works fine, but in case the page refreshes for some reason, the highlight is gone. Then you have to go and open the Marker link to gain access to the highlighted webpage.

simple, does its job and does it well. one of the most streamlined highlighter extensions around.

Used to love and gave a great review.. NOW IT JUST STOPS WORKING completely after a while...i have to do a whole reboot for it to work again... NEEDS an update or something please?

Overall, if you don't mind a "free app" that has you go to a linked page to view your cataloged highlights, its does exactly what it says, and there are several colors to choose from, a star and even notes. There are plenty of ways to have your linked page refresh and sent to your desktop to review if needed. Great little app.

I like that I can highlight important points as I work on a research assignment. The downside is that I accidentally scrolled my speedy mouse pointer to the bottom of the page and highlighted the rest of the article; and I haven't found an option that will allow me to reverse that action. May you develop that function for your highlighter app, please? Thank you.

what markup app you need really depends on how you want to use it. This app is not too feature heavy, but lets you hilite (and de-hilite) quickly with different colours, saves the pages for future recall, and possibly the best feature is you are able to send the markup page link to another pc or mobile. As with most markups, you can hilite and save as is in Evernote.

Initially, Yellow highlighter pen was very useful. That was before I had to delete my cookies for technical reasons, thereby loosing all my highlights.

Very handy tool!

It worked once after I installed it. Then every time I try to use it, I get the message "LOADING..." near the top left corner of my browser's window, and it does not work!

Slow and buggy. Causes webpages to crash and lose all highlighted text. I use Highly now and it works better.

Places ad banners on pages that originally had no ads (government web pages), which makes it ugly and misleading. Description doesn't indicate ads.

Very Useful. But performance is poor, and almost non-responsive if used over large pages. I hope it can be improved.

Started off great, however it won't keep the highlights if the page is refreshed or opened through your bookmarks. This makes it useless unless you intend to mark it right there for one-time use. Not holding my breath on a solution as it's been 2 months with no response between this review and the most recent. Has a lot of potential, but I don't see myself using it until it's fixed.

I am a student doing research for a paper. At first this looked like just what I needed to save time, however one website, my libraries database, would accept highlights yet I couldn't edit my highlights if I made a mistake! PLEASE FIX THIS! If I have to restart every time this happens it's just not worth it. IF this is fixed I'll give it 5 stars.

Liked it overall. Better than the other highlighter apps so far. Hello! Thanks for the helpful app. But I just have one question, is there a way for the highlights to stay even if I refresh the page? They just keep disappearing after I refresh or try to re-open some other time. I know I can access my highlights in http://marker.to/my but I find that really a hassle since I want to use the webpage I highlighted as my reference and not my marker page. Would appreciate feedback. Thanks!

AWESOME TOOL!

It was great initially when it worked as a Chrome Extension - however doesn't seem to work anymore - even after disablling and reenabling - so time to find an alternative.

Does what it's suppose to.

This is a really amazing tool when coupled with a Surface Pro 4 pen or other digitizer setup. I would like to be able to share to other apps (like onenote or evernote), but DANG, great app! I did notice that the marker.to popup toolbar anchors UNDER another toolbar I use for searches, but the address of my page is still visible, so no biggie. I can't close it though because the X is obstructed. It is Ixquick toolbar. Thanks for an awesome extension!

The best one out their because it is the only one! Works good enough. I don't like to pop-ups because I zoom into the page, and the pop up takes me out of the zoom. But GOOD

Pretty good, thank you! Would like to be able to see url of original webpage that I have highlighted. That, or actually save the data to chrome in such a way that I don't have to use a special link to access my highlights for each webpage. The former seems much easier, though.

The highlight fill is so strong that I can't read the text beneath it. Can this be adjusted? What am I missing here? Uninstalled.

Have had an amazing experience with this extension. It has simplified my web research process. Highly recommended for annotation & highlighting purposes.

Very nice. I do prefer more subtle shading however, so an option for custom color would be welcome

I would have given it FIVE stars if 1. That useless big ribbon stopped coming on the left side of screen, hiding everything underneath even after option for preventing it is checked 2. The small box containing the webpage was displayed as an option, may be from a small dot in the screen for those who need it However storing the history of pages highlighted is a HUGE advantage. would be more enjoyable if there was an option to open them as different tabs in the same window
