This extension just does not work. It wants me to sign in to Keep, but a) I am already signed in, and b) the button to Sign In doesn't even do anything. This is really sad since it makes Keep almost useless for saving web pages or notes about them. I don't want to interrupt my workflow.

The web clipper feature is very erratic which makes it hard to rely on. Evernote has a much better clipper that seems to work every time. This is unfortunate because I'm really trying to transition from Evernote to Keep, but with the malfunctioning web clipper I have to rethink this.

Would be 4 star, but as of a few weeks back, it's stuck in a loop saying "You’ve been signed out. Please reload the page to sign in again and continue working." Reloading/reinstalling doesn't help. Occurs on both Chrome and Edge. Useless until you fix.

Can not use, it requires login although i did it

It WAS great, when it worked all the time. Now it rarely works at all. Most of the time when I click the extension or use it from the right-click menu, it doesn't do anything. Please fix this. Google Keep doesn't get the love it deserves.

I use to love this when it worked. Now it seems broken. I use both the app and extension and both seem to work but not as smooth as it use to. App typing is not smooth and extension use to always be active, now I have to click on the icon and then select new note... too many steps. Use to work a lot better, shame.

This extension used to work really well. Now it's dice roll if it works at all. I really liked the way it used to work, The added step of needing to click "create note" isn't easy/efficient as making the note by default when you click the extension button. Echoing all the comments regarding the last update, I hope they fix this :/

I love Keeps, however, this extension doesn't work after a few tries. You have to constaintly reinstall it in order to work.

Unfortunately, it's not working...

The recent update made this extension unavailable. The icon no longer prompts whether a web page has been added, and the click will no longer automatically create notes. It is too difficult to use and can only be uninstalled.

Stopped working. I click on "Go to Keep" on the extension and nothing happens.

No longer works. A real shame because this was such a handy extension.

Totally broken as of the last update. Constantly crashing. Also it should be a single right click to clip that then displays a confirmation. For such a critical feature of the ecosystem It's overly complicated and slow.

Excellent plug-in - very useful. Only improvement would be if it worked with reader mode.

It is really useful extension and I love it. I mostly use it as a bookmarking tool. But it is now broken after a recent update!

This *should* be a really useful addition to Chrome but, as others have noted, it doesn't work. As in, it's broken. For example, it doesn't always open; or it will open only once per page; and, if you hit Escape to close it, it simply won't open again.

I really loved this extension but your recent change to it just literally broke it. My labels load with SECONDS of delay, when I hit "Create Note" the snackbar doesn't fade away, when I change the labels after creating the note I don't know if it gets updated or not, the extension's popup window sometimes disappears with clicking on the page and sometimes doesn't. It's a WHOLE MESS, I had ZERO problem with the last versions, why do you break such an amazing product so easily!?

Dear Google I HATE YOU. As a matter of fact the only thing I hate more than you, is a person who tortures puppies. This extension was an actual USEFUL tool that people benefited from, and YET you decided to make it another vague idea in your damn tomb of dying ideas. Why you felt the need to mess with it is a mystery. However, it is not a mystery that you suck.

I LOVE USING THE GOOGLE CHROME APP

I didn't get much use out of it to begin with an now it doesn't work. I switched back to Chrome because it wouldn't work on Brave and now it doesn't even work on brave. I think it's time to uninstall.

It used to work, but it does once or twice and then fails to work after that on Macbook Air M1 on MacOS Ventura as of Nov 5, 2022. A reboot seems to temporarily fix it.

Unfortunately often does not work in recent months. I've used it smoothly for the long time, but the latest experience is bit disappointing.

On the extension when you right click and add new note. The window takes the screen address and closes you cant make a note. Fix this it sucks!

If you're not paying for the product, you are the product. It's not going to work on any other browser other than Chrome cause Google doesn't want you using other browsers...Absolutely predatory! And, of course, it isn't working for me either on any other browser other than Chrome.

I was prompted that I had to log in, but I didn't respond when I clicked the login button. I was speechless. I lost a lot of information before I entered. Try something unreliable again. Waste time to affect the mood, do not say also lost data!!

I like the concept behind this extension and it would be ideal; however, Chrome only seems to crash when I use this extension, not sure why but it often has the loading wheel so Chrome either crashes or I have to force quit.

I love this extension and it worked for a good year without problems. Then I had to repair it every time I wanted to use it. Now after 1 1/2 years of use it's crashing my Brave browser. So I think I'm gonna repair it one more time and save all the info I have stored and remove it.

I feel that it's more hassle than it's worth, which defeats the purpose of why I would use it in the first place (notes, quick thoughts, memos ,links, etc...). I would have thought that for as long as this feature has been available that google, as remarkable as they are on most fronts, would have taken these documented reviews that are all basically stating the same issues from the beginning and the necessary adjustments and changes making this a tool people like myself would actually use. However, since they have not made those changes, I and many others use the "notes" apps on our phones, desktops, in the device stores, on our email sites that aren't google and the many additional convenient locations that we are in throughout the day. They are quick, have the necessary options, work properly, and very efficient, which is why I and probably many others use them to begin with. I use google chrome for most things and have never thought of anything being low quality or even just "ok" their tools are usually very good or exceptional in my opinion, but not in this case. You dropped the ball on this one Chrome and continue too do so by not getting rid of it or fixing the issues that have been reported consistently since 2016!!!!!

Does not work with the latest version of Chrome. When you click on the extention it says "can't read or change sites data". Doesn't Google own Chrome and this extension? Can they not make their products work together?

Coming from creators of Chrome, the innumerable bugs encountered with this is absolutely unacceptable.

Working great until yesterday's update where it stopped the web app (where you can install an icon on your Windows 10) from working.

I like this extension, but it keeps crashing my chrome whenever I try to use it. It worked for probably a week before this started, and I've isolated all of the crashing incidents to this one chrome extension. My chrome crashes about eight times a day using this.

New issue: have to refresh each tab before the extension can add it. Else fantastic, simple app and must-have for GKepp users!

I have installed it and uninstalled it and installed it again. It's not showing up in my extensions. Pretty useless really.

useless .. doesn't work Brave browser

A few important issues: 1. I cannot manually order the labels. It is alphabetical and there is no other way to order it. It is an issue, because some of the labels are more important for me and I want them to be closer to the top. currently, I use numbers to order them, but it is painful if you want to add labels, because you have to change the numbers in all the labels after that to have the order you want. 2. I cannot set one of the labels as the default, so that keep always opens on that label. The note label has all the notes under all labels, and that's not what I want to see when I open it. I want today to-dos to be my opening label. someone else may want another label to be their first. It would be great to be able to choose the default label. 3. You cannot pin different notes in different labels. If I have a note under 2 labels, if I pin it, it will be pinned under both labels. I want to be able to remove the pin from a certain note under one label, but keep it as pinned under another label. 4. I have several Gmail accounts. My chrome browser's default account is my personal email. But I always use Gmail services (keep, calendar, drive, etc.) from my university account. When I install the extension, it always opens keep under the default account of the browser which is my personal account. I wish I could set the extension to be always opened under a different account that what is on the browser. I have it in my taskbar and open it that way now, but I lose the ability to pin address bars and things like that (which is very useful), because I want to use my university account for keep. 5. If I choose check box in a note, it changes all the lines to checkboxes. It would be great to be able to choose which lines should be a checkbox and which one should not be a checkbox. basically have different categories (without a checkbox) in a single note, and be able to have checkboxes under each category. For example, I usually do my shopping in 3 stores. I wish I could always have the some main categories (the name of the stores) as a regular line, and only add the items I want from each as a checkbox. 6. There is very limited formatting of the text available inside a note. There is basically no formatting available. I cannot bold, underline, etc. I still use it on a regular basis, for all my short term and long term plans, to dos, etc. But I think adding these features would make it a fantastic app that I could use for everything.

Hangs chrome for a long time with many tabs open. Keeps wanting to sign in on every chrome restart, even tho I'm already signed in.

Everything is fine, Just need a better way to install desktop add. Right now the method is too difficult.

The extension isn't working for Brave Browser

Doesn't work. I've tried it multiple times over the last two years and the "Sign in" button STILL doesn't work. I've found posts about this issue as far back as early 2020 on Google help pages and representatives have said that they are aware of the issue and working on it. Well, apparently it isn't very high priority.

It seems to ONLY function on Chrome.

I had Keeps since before it was even called keeps and it was notes. great app at the time with holding my notes for projects since back in 2018. all of the sudden today, I lost nearly 2 years worth of notes I've kept on there for no good reason. I was trying to type and add more when suddenly it refreshed randomly and I lost the info. Its not like it partitioned off to make a new note or anything. just poof and disappeared and it automatically updated everywhere so now I don't have any way to retrieve it. How dumb... time to find a different app that can actually KEEP my notes and not randomly delete it. SMH

apparently there was a recent update that is causing it not to work properly. I'm signed into Chrome, I'm signed into my Google account, but the every time I try to click on the icon in my toolbar I'm prompted to sign in, and clicking the button in the Sign In box results in... well nothing. Pity, Google Keep seemed like an extremely useful app, but without the "save to Keep" function it's going to be to clunky to be of use.

Nearly useless for me as it insists on saving links. I want to save the text selection or the image into keep but that appears impossible. I was there was an option to "copy data into keep". It would be so much more useful (I don't mind it including the URL in the notes, that's fine)

There's a malfunction in Keep's chrome extension. When you try to save an item (For example, a picture) to Keep and Keep's window opens in browser, If browser's window's height is smaller than Keep's window, there's no way to scroll down and reach buttons and tag labels at the bottom of Keep's window. Of course you can resize browser's window to contain Keep's window but even this solution does not work in smaller screens. I think the right way is that Keep automatically adjusts its window's size or at least let users resize or scroll it. I hope they fix this soon. It's very annoying.

installed the Keep as Chrome extension on my laptop, and it worked for years but app icon disappeared from Chrome home page. What happened. The Chrome web store did show Keep was installed. Any fix is appreciated. Note. Keep works on my cell.

For this, I request to add full user experience on Chrome browser, to add reminded ability, share option and other that you prefer to see based on your expertise. 10/2/2021 I have just reviewed the 157 comments that are currently posted. Here is my assessment and some observations: Google has found a useful new app extension; but Google is not willing or able to provide it with a sufficient Customer Support team and Development Improvement team to make it worthwhile for me to use... Apparently, hundreds of other users agree with me -- it is just not worthwhile for us to tinker with an innovative, but half-baked, idea, either. Google, if you don't want this sort of half-hearted support for this new app to start affecting your overall future revenue-stream, and the ultimate acceptability of this app (along with all of your underlying Google apps!), then consider taking it away until you are prepared to commit adequate resources to its proper support. It's not ready yet, because you haven't finished its initial development or field-testing yet... IMHO! You need to work on it more. [11/13/2021] But, until you do, don't leave it out there on line, live, because, every day you do leave it out there, inadequately supported, you are besmisching your corporate reputation. I keep trying to "like it"; but without any coherent support from you, Google, the frustration of workinig with it isn't worth the time spent Truly, the Google Keep Chrome Extension shows some promise, and seems to have the user demand... but it's just not ready for release to the user-public yet. ...Think about it. Until you are ready to tighten it up, just yank if off the internet! Stop wasting our time while you lamely and ineffectually tinker with it.

I like how easy it is to simply click to save a page. Plus when you set a scheduled reminder (by clicking the bell), you can ask Google nest/home "what are my reminders" and it will read all the ones that are scheduled.

I'm unable to signin into the extension. No action after clicking signin buttion. I don't know what are the settings I have to change now. Could you please help me.

It loaded, I signed in, WENT TO THE WEBSITE where it showed that I was signed in. When I clicked on something to save, not only did it demand I sign in, when I clicked on the Sign In button, it did nothing. I was willing to take the unnecessary step, but this is worthless.

Great extension. As others have said, why is the color "disabled" grey. Also, it would be cool if there was some type of auto-tag associated with anything saved by this extension. That way, you could go into Keep and see all of the clipped web pages under a single label for relabeling later.

App is no longer supported on Chrome so I will be using a different notes app. Additionally, does not work on Brave - prompts for sign in but won't allow you to click the button.

It only works on chrome, not on brave or edge or any other chromium browser, that's dumb and monopolistic.

Could you please make the tags dropdown even smaller. Now I can see as much as 3 items at a time and I'm thinking that it probably is just too much. Maybe if you showed only 2 or just 1 it would make the ergonomics of scrolling through my numerous tags perfect... :-P Or you could just make it much larger so we can use it conveniently :-) Otherwise it's good plugin and I use it everyday.

This extension only seems to work in Chrome, and not any other variant like Chromium, Brave, or Edge. It is OK, but I am uninstalling it because it doesn't fill in the title and so I have to copy paste it manually anyway? For those who don't keep the Keep app window always open, this could be a pretty nifty tool, but I keep one open and I like keeping the bookmarks more organized. To be specifiic, I don't add one note for each bookmark, but rather, I keep all bookmarks related to a topic in a single note, so the topic becomes the note title and the body contains multiple space separated bookmarks along with titles and my attached notes. I put all such bookmarks under the Bookmarks label. This extension can't help me improve this workflow.
