It was working on my older computer but unfortunately it doesn't work on my newer one. Windows 10 Home. Please update it, I would love to use it!

I thought this is an emoji keyboard, but it's actually not… Anyways, I am surprised to see some emojis get replaced with android 5.0 emoji design pics…

Using Windows 10 Home Edition and button to open keyboard does nothing... never launches the keyboard.

It's not even organized...

I downloaded this emoji extension first because I adore the google emoji style. It worked fine but it's extremely outdated, as in it's missing a ton of emojis. The box that pops up could use some additions as well such as letting you adjust the size so you can see the emojis themselves better. If it ever updated it'd probably get a much better rating.

The buttons for mine wouldn't work

Unfortunately emoji input rarely works for me. Displaying emojis works 50% of the time (example: can't view the ones in this review page). It's also slowing down Chrome.

Installed. Didn't work. Delete and reinstall. Still doesn't work. Can't find anything to help with this problem.

SLOWS CHROME

Yet another extension to change the style of the emoji characters displayed. This one shows Google style emojis, without a choice of other styles. It also shows the emojis at a larger size, which is annoying. There aren't any user-selectable options. The pop-up "keyboard" is actually just a menu. It's small and shows only a few uncommon (and not useful) emojis. I couldn't find a way to increase the size of the menu, scroll it to show other emojis, or switch to a different set of emojis. Additionally, when the input cursor was on a web form input field, clicking the emojis shown in the menu appeared as different emojis.

it only supports unicode 6.1 and down ? i wish it would support at least 7. mabye even 10. i wish. 7 does show up, but not in color ???

Nicely replaces most emoji with the Google versions. Doesn't allow copying emoji off the page. Doesn't support many new emoji.

Massive lag loading websites, along with (possibly) increased instability and crashing of the whole browser. I'm not 100% sure about the instability but if I don't edit my comment then the problems stopped after uninstalling this extension

It makes Chrome slow.

This extension singlehandedly lagged my browser like you wouldn't believe. It added 10-15 seconds every single time the page changed before I could click anything. Like others said, I found this by toggling through my list of extensions for the problematic one, and this destroyed my speed more than all my other extensions combined, times 10.

This extension was a MASSIVE resource hog. Just loading the 'new tab' page took an insane amount of time on all of my machines, even the i7 16GB RAM one. Do not install unless you like having jerky page scrolling, slow new tab loading times, and poor performance overall.

Old Outdated ugly interface, urgently needs update

lags chrome hard, cpu usage spikes from 0 to 99 just opening tabs tested it in incognito, 100% is this extension and probably why i had it uninstalled in the past

why did you flatten the emojis???

Disables the ability to copy emoji from a webpage. Easy fix, if they want; just add an alt="?" or whatever to the <i>

It wouldn't come up so I couldnt use it.

I upgraded to max speed with IP last week, cleaned out the gutters and added productivity extensions such as suspending open tabs. I also increased Chrome browser default speed from 128 to 512. After the added extensions my pages would not load, my Netflix would not play, my homepage would default to generic w/o the shortcuts or fancy decor wallpaper I had added and my mail took so long to load I was wondering if it ever would. Overall, I felt like I was back browsing in 1997 with dial-up - absolutely terrible. I began to backtrack, starting with disabling all extensions EXCEPT for emojify because, honestly, something silly as that couldn't possibly be the problem. After disabling all of the others the problem was still there in all of it's glory. So I disabled emojify and PROBLEM SOLVED! To be sure, I enabled each new ext one by one, and no problems. Seriously, guys?!?

This extension is EXTREMELY HARMFUL. Do NOT install it! Chrome will halt to a near-complete stop if you install this. It is almost unbelievable how a single extension can slow Chrome down so much. I would not recommend this to anyone, ever, for any reason whatsoever. DO NOT INSTALL!

It allows you to see emojis.. yeah but ONLY if the web page actually loads. I have a fairly high end computer and it still kills my processor :/ So yeah it might let you see emojis, if you could see the webpage at all lmao

youtube emojis didn't show up on chrome that fixed it

Doesn't let me insert any emojis. Looked at the source code using inspect and found out that nothing even really happens.

Would love to see the extension updated with new emojis that came out since.

Makes your browser unbelievable unresponsive. Had to get rid of it as I'd get a 1-2 second long freeze between each page.

Like others have said I enjoy actually being able to see emojis now but this just slows down page loading too much so I'm thinking about disabling it unfortunately :/

Does not work for inserting Emoji. Extension button shows nothing, no popup or emojis. Using Chrome 43.

Emoji input works like 0.5 times out of 10. At best (I can remember it working one time I THINK, not sure though maybe it's never worked) Start by making it work in Youtube comments, that's probably one of it's best use cases :)

Hogs CPU resources. Maxes out all cores on my computer just loading one page. Definitely this extension; problem went away when I disabled Emojify.

button doesn't even work

Backspace and enter don't work when I use emojis. This makes things somewhat complicated!

It allowed me to enter emojis into text boxes, but the extension slowed my browser to a crawl. It made Chrome entirely unusable for me. Perhaps it conflicted with some other extension I have installed, but I could not keep it enabled.

Works as designed but slows page rendering so much it became a nuisance. Other than that, as others have said, the interface is kinda small and lacks any way to resize it. Would benefit from having a descriptor tooltip appear when hovering the mouse over an emoji to say what it is.

This extension hogs resources like no other. I have an older computer, and this extension by itself renders chrome unusable. I have many other extensions installed, disabled them all, and re-enabled them one by one, and nothing else came close to the load this extension put on my CPU. Uninstalling.

Liked the extension well enough, but it seriously impacted the performance of Chrome. Disabled and removed it after a few days.

Extension causes CPU usage spikes that cause problems for other programs, such as stutters in music playback in iTunes

the emojis on the keyboard very tiny, hard to see the different between some emojis i hope if you can scale it 200%

Emojify slows down the browser loading speed greatly. Suggest an alternative.

Doesn't work

It renders emojis on the page properly, but the button to show the emoji keyboard does not work. I also noticed that using this plugin makes the web browser unresponsive to scrolling for a few seconds during the time it's loading the emojis. It scans the page and replaces emojis with proper ones, so I understand why it's unresponsive for a few seconds, but it became fairly annoying to wait. I ended up disabling it, as I'm willing to give up pretty emojis for those few seconds on every page load.

This extension works perfectly! The only part that I dislike is that it puts random emojis all over the web pages that you are browsing. ;(

This completely broke my tumblr. It took me weeks to figure it out, too, because I didn't understand why it would do that, but it did. I'm going to have to uninstall it. Very unfortunate; I liked having emoji be visible. :(

Pop-up menu is far too small. Very difficult to see and choose the icons! I'd also update the icon that displays on the taskbar. Very low resolution, so it comes out looking weird.

The keyboard never pops up and when it does I can't use it.

This extension does what it says it will well. It renders emoji in webpages in chrome, and provides the popup emoji drawer. However, using this extension, one cannot select emoji as text to copy-paste. Also the toolbar icon is oddly pixilated.

It's alright, but all of the emoji are tiny and sorted terribly. Takes way too long to find the one I'm looking for, as opposed to the Android version.

Finally, Android style emoji. Excellent.

finally emoji support that isn't those ugly yahoo-esque faces. I'd love a way to change the style of emojis shown, preferably so I can match them to what I see on my phone, which are very basic black-and-white text like versions.

Please make the icons bigger and the popup window selector adjustable in size. Also, when I am typing, I do not get a preview of the emoticon before I post, just a blank space. Serious bug: Page is unresponsive until after it loads and then reloads.

Great. It loads emoji after a few seconds of the page loading, as I'm typing this review it won't allow me to input the emoji though for some odd reason. It's still a good placeholder un-till we get official chrome support.

Need you to update your jquery. Having the error pop up every javascript debugging session is a little annoying: event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead. A problem I get is it shows boxes in a contenteditable text area and yet formatting and Chinese words display fine. I think it's suppose to be on your end to add support for it, is it?

Does what it is supposed to do, but interferes with Java. I am unable to play any games that use Java while this is enabled.
