The new UI will take some getting used to. I've been using this extension since the start where I got to test out the cloud sync for free before subscription was released. The suspended tabs doesn't seem to work? I've set it to 'yes' in the setting but it doesn't seem to do so.

Recently installed the extension to my chrome browser and so far I'm loving it! I just wanted to know is there a limit on closed sessions or is there unlimited sessions? Thank you!

I just started using this extension but whenever I open Chrome it automatically closes. I can't find anything in the documentation or online, unfortunately. I'm really hoping to get this extension working cause it might finally let me close all the tabs I tend to keep open.

I've tried a most of the tab group and management expansions available. In the end, when I found this one, I changed my default browser from Firefox to Chrome, simply because this one expansion is by far the best, and has transformed how I go about my daily business. I save in productivity far more, than from any other software I have, including motion or Onenote.. This is indespensable and I barely use bookmarks anymore.. I just use this, with various Windows named accordingly to the job/task I need to work on, with the necessary tabs already saved. Don't miss out, try it for five days. I promise you will be suprised at how good this works.

Switching over to tabXpert from Workona for almost 2 years, don't have any complain about this product, this is a complete product that works flawlessly to me, it is stable and faster than other tab manager I tried before. At the beginning, I feel the UI doesn't feel modern and I don't quite like it, but after using it longer, I feel the list pattern UI is actually easier to manage :) Anyone who didn't tried it before should give it a try, you wont regret it! ^^

The potential is here, and this is why I chose this over Workona. The one thing I'm missing, however, is the ability to keep some tabs constantly open as part of all sessions. Support told me that a similar functionality will be added soon, so I'm looking forward to the new release. Keep up the good work!

Nice one! Has everything I need for session management and is not overflooded by useless bells and whistles at the same time. A swiss-army-knife for its purpose.

I moved from Workona and this one has it all I wanted. Easy session selection, auto save tabs to session.etc. UI could be more streamlined and modern tho. Keep the good work, guys.

Yes yes yes this is exactly what I need and I wish I'd known about session managers years ago! Works perfectly for my needs and let's me open Chrome without the existential dread of it probably crashing from millions of windows and tabs. The excellent demo videos on the website made my transition very smooth and easy. Thank you devs!!

Super! Loved it <3 --- Just need to has its own zoom settings. When I change the default zoom of chrome to >100% the pop-up doesn't fit anymore cause it follows the default zoom assigned to chrome. I think it would be better if it has its own zoom setting and that the pop-up size expand/adapt with changing the zoom level so it fits and no scrollbars are needed.

I've been searching for years for a simple, solid way to manage my tabs across multiple devices. This extension is the answer. It not only gives me a super simple way to manage different tab sessions on my computer, but by paying a small amount, I can sync those sessions between my laptop and desktop. (Now if only I could have it on my phone! :D But that's less important.) For people trying this out, I'd give two pieces of advice: 1. Don't be overwhelmed by the amount of options. You don't need to understand or configure everything to have a great experience. But when you do want to tweak things as you get more comfortable, know the options - and videos explaining them - exist. 2. Don't be swayed by the UI. My first thought was that this looked less polished than other tab managers. And in some ways, it is. But it is also much simpler and straightforward to use than many of the other fancier-looking ones, and what it lacks in any fancy polish it makes up for in solid usability. My one request for Andrey: I'd love if you could clarify the privacy practices listed in the Chrome store. It says you collect tons of information, but I suspect that isn't true (e.g. I don't think you are storing peoples' website passwords - just the ones they use for their tabxpert account, right?). Updating that would be great to help everyone understand what you are collecting or not.

I'm a multiple window/multiple tab habitual user - right now 40 windows and 2500 tabs open (which is not max I've ever had) and till now I haven't seen good session/tab manager to help me to manage this situation. Other extensions I tried either lack some basic features or can't cope with massive number of tabs and windows I use (in extreme cases creating tab-mess). Then I came across tabXpert - and I must say I've been quite impressed so far. Finally good and clean interface, no problem at all with speed with my tab/window number, and most features I need just at fingertips - moving tabs, merging windows etc. Also, video tutorials created by the author are very helpful to get started. However, to make this extension complete, there is one really important feature needed - tab history preservation. That is - when restoring closed session, the tabs in a session should also restore individual back/forward history. This is super important - sometimes when I do a research and return to a certain tab, I often need to click on back to return to previous website where I clicked the links to trace certain information. In tabXpert when session gets closed and restored, it doesn't restore tabs history unfortunately. However interestingly, when I close tabs in Chrome, then restore from Chrome's history, the individual tab's history is preserved, so there must be a way to do it in the extension as welll? Perhaps if not single API call, then maybe some logic implemented to emulate this? As otherwise I still have to keep all my sessions active and cluttered with all chrome windows open.

Currently using this in Brave browser. As of the last update Tabs Outliner stopped working and I kinda' freaked out! I love that thing but sadly it seems to have been dead for a while now... Found this and it's amazing. Does almost everything I wanted from Tabs Outliner, and uses tags to as a way to 'name' windows. It also has a grouping and auto grouping feature which looks REALLY powerful but I'm just getting my feet wet at the moment. I'll experiment with it more later... I also LOVE the fact it has an export feature of your currently used tabs. As one of those weird people that always has a million tabs open that I 'need' (sure...) it's extra peace of mind. All in all, I'm very happy with this. I hope they continue to update this app and also please make sure you do testing in Brave Browser so it's always compatible. So far this thing is worth it's weight in gold. I even got the paid version just to support the devs. Keep up the good work guys!

I think its great overall but Extension crashed first then bringing BSOD, after restart had to press chrome tab restore and decided to uninstall extension, bad move on my part, while the 100 tabs I had open had tabexpert icon, meaning still didn't load. After uninstall, all of them disappeared, bye bye tabs. Don't want to go thru that again.

Timothy Martin October 23rd, 2022

Users beware. There's a serious issue with this extension. If you cut more then 100 tabs from a session and accedentally paste them in the closed tab part of a session. Anything after the 100 cut tabs will be lost. This is a huge oversight. (Why give the useless option of pasting to a closed tab anyway? Who came up with that idea?) Besides that it does what it delivers exactly what it promises. Though I wish tabs would start out auto suspended.

I love this! Fabulously useful bells and whistles that the other tab wannabes don't have. TabXpert gives me a reason to get up in the morning and the will to live! It's so nice to get an extension that works! Thanks, TabXpert!

I like some aspects of this a lot. But one problem is I want to be able to open a link in a new window by right clicking on it. I do this so much. It is how it works in every other program. But you just can't do it in this one as far as I can tell. (There is a "restore" dialog, contra my initial review. It's very easy to miss, but it is there). Overall, I just didn't find this very intuitive to work with. So I'm using a different one, but perhaps I'll come back.

Mike Biwer July 7th, 2022

Seems much better out of the box then many other tab extensions, so I would recommend it just based on that. Know that it isn't 100% Workona's tab management, but is a replacement if you are cheap. 4 Stars because you cannot set a default list of pinned tabs to open when a new session is created. It seems like it will get annoying to always duplicate a "Base Session with pinned tabs" whenever I want to start something things but still have things like [ Gmail, gCalendar, gDrive, Slack, Discord] pinned and accessible regardless of where I am at. Beggars can't be choosers but I would update the review to 5 stars if there was an option too, in some way, persist pinned tabs to new sessions all of the time. Where a default list or just using what is already present in the focused active session wouldn't really matter.

Closing a tab by using the extension's Active tabs panel and restoring it by using the Closed tabs panel is WORSE than closing the tab in chrome and using Chrome's History>Recently Closed feature because the extension will delete the tab's story (Back button) in the process! Making the extension effectively useless.

Brilliant extension. Tried lots of tab managers but this one wins hands down / almost feels like it should be part of the browser. So easy to use and many options to set it up in a way that works for you Would love to see a "Copy session URL" feature at some point — to copy into other tools to re-open a session from a note taking tool or task manager

Dear users, You might be experiencing an issue when tabXpert doesn't save your tab URL and title and showing a New tab instead. It's a Chrome bug in the Chrome event processing system. This bug is fixed in the version 102.0.4966 which is not released in the stable channel yet. We have released a fix in the version 1.3.19. Please update tabXpert: open the 'Extensions' page -> Turn on the 'Developer mode' and click on 'Update'. Please let me know at [email protected] if you are experiencing this issue after the update. For Edge users I'd suggest installing the version from Chrome Web Store and migrate your data via export/import.

tabXpert provides oversight and navigation of all browser windows and tabs. It blurs the line between bookmarks and active tabs: - Multiple, separate browser sessions can be organized by topic / use case. - Websites that you use all the time can be brought back into focus quickly. - Groups of websites that you use infrequently can be safely closed and retrieved when required. Tab groups within sessions allows you to selectively focus on related tabs within a single browser session, temporarily suppressing other tabs. The UI is smart, the software is solid. You can stop keeping lists of context-specific URLs for projects: create dedicated browsers for each project with tabXpert instead.

Demetres Stordopoulos April 14th, 2022
Demetres Stordopoulos

Every other tab/session manager that I've used, and I've used as many as I can, leaves something to be desired. tabXpert is the only app/add-on that covers all the usecases I need and does so in a user friendly and functional manner. Most importantly, the performance is very good and the add-on is compatible with "The Marvelous Suspender", which is a big deal if you have open a ton of tabs at a time. I wish it wasn't a subscription-based add-on (for syncing), but developers have to make a living in some way, and I'm more than happy to pay a fair price for my tab sanity.

Not sure how I came to find Tabxpert, but it is great and has stopped me panicking when my laptop shuts down and reopens on a completely blank page. Far too many times that happened to me but no more, I have Tabxpert and am able to manage open and closed sessions, and can merge sessions and name them so that I can easily locate them when I need them. Tabxpert is easy to use and reliable - I highly recommend this app.

I've been evaluating a few tab managers. I have been trying to describe to the author of another extension what my ideal tab manager would do...... automatically grouping tabs, sets of bookmarks I could set up, be able to retrieve tabs I was using on another device without them automatically opening on all devices, ...then I realised after subsequently trying tabxpert, that I was pretty much describing what tabxpert does!

I highly recommend this feature-rich extension that really tames tabs. The current version 1.3.19 of this extension supercharges Chrome providing you with increased personal productivity and time savings. The product support is second to none. Support replies are professional, response times are prompt, and solutions are thorough. The developer seems very dedicated to providing quality software and service. Definitely 5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆.

UPDATE: The issue actually appears to be a Chrome bug, and not an issue with the extension itself. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This extension was really good for a really long time, but all of a sudden it has randomly started turning tabs into New Tabs when Chrome relaunches. No back button available, nothing in the deleted tabs, the tabs are just gone. When I turned Chrome on a few minutes ago I lost 17 tabs to this. Considering I am trying to keep track of browsing sessions through saving named windows, this means I'm going to have to search for a replacement extension.

Ioan Floroiu April 5th, 2022

Real good extension - been looking for quite a while for a good way to help my PC cope with the huge amount of tabs I keep open most the time - this seems to have fixed it...mostly. I seem to be encountering a bug where my tabs show up as empty in the actual TabXpert window. Only happens for the session in use, but when closing the session and trying to reopen it, the tabs will be empty as well and the addresses lost. Still, I'm sure this will get fixed soon enough, the extension itself is by far the best session manager available. Keep up the good work!

Phoenix Gabriel April 7th, 2022

This extension has helped me TREMENDOUSLY in keeping organized. No longer do I have 2000 miscellaneous tabs spread out over 20 windows, open all the time because I opened 20 tabs to work on a project that isn't done yet so why would I close those tabs? No, now each window is a session, that I can close and open _as needed_. It's fantastic. It's so useful that you will wonder how you ever lived without it. The author is also very active, and quick to respond to bugs when they arise.

Amar Sood April 3rd, 2022

This extension is incredible and stands apart on many fronts already, but the support for Tab Groups makes it a pretty full-on substitute for the popular Tabs Outliner extension as well, except with a /lot/ more native Chrome integration than that extension has! The only real features I'd like to see are: 1/ Client-side encryption for tabs sync. Without that, I can't really make use of the sync feature. 2/ Support for Chrome's 'Window -> Name Window...' feature. I don't know if this is possible, but keeping those names in sync with tabXpert would be amazing.

This tool has been a game changer for me at work. I have been able to organize my sessions according to different workspaces I have going on at the same time. I was originally using Workona but it was limited to only 5 sessions and it was not enough for me. I did run into an issue with the disk space error however, I reached out to Andrey and he applied a fix the next day and resolved the issue. Thank you!

One of those rare extensions produced by an individual with dedication, intelligence, and an element of love. It transforms the browser experience: one can work in dozens or hundreds of tabs flexibly and easily, even on a low-powered computer It is full of clever aspects: for example, you can reach into a closed window and open just one tab from it in your current window, which is often useful. It has built-in tab list that makes it easy to clean up after sessions by deleting or moving tabs around. It is fully compatible with Chrome's "Tab Groups" feature, which is rare in other similar programs. It is reliable and stable, and the developer is extremely responsive to any questions. I have spent a year or so searching for and trying tab managers, and this is definitely the winner.

This product is making my life much easier. Beyond that, many a time you buy an extension or app, and you are left in an abyss, in terms of support. The developer communicates with his users in terms of feature requests and if they are not possible workable workarounds. It is an absolute pleasure communicating with him.

Awesome productivity tool! Love this, migrating to it from Tab Outliner - this extension is more modern, has more features, handles browser crashes better and does not rely on google drive for cloud sync, so can easily be used with Brave, which is faster and respects users privacy. Actually allowed me to switch from Chrome to Brave without losing any productivity.

I must be honest, this session and tab manager is the best. The main attraction for this extension is its cloud sync, but it is a paid service, so unfortunately this isn't my go-to extension. I would very much rather donate to this extension if I find it very useful. Tab Session Manager is my replacement: they have free cloud sync.

This is by far the best tab manager I've used! Full of useful features, and consistently updated to handle new things like Chrome's tab groups. The developer listens closely to feedback and clearly understands the struggle of living under a mountain of tabs and bookmarks, because any feature I could have wanted is already in here. The clean interface, multiple modes, drag+drop functionality, and flexibility make tabXpert a far better user experience for me than alternatives like OneTab and Session Buddy.

Absolutely love this tool. The dev has thought of everything. I've tried all the session manager/tab-saving apps; SessionBuddy, FreshStart, Workona, Toby, OneTab, and several others. This is hands-down by far the absolute best. Andrey, kudos! And thankyou for making such an amazing tool!

I've been using this extension for several months now and I absolutely love it! Works really well for me, and the creator is really quick to help with any issues I had. I would have loved to subscribe to the premium plan for syncing, but 4$ a month is too much for me in my country. I'd love to see a lower priced plan based on circumstances or countries or something else. But, the free version works just as well for me as I keep local backups handy. Update 26.10.21: Just wanted to update and say that this is the best tab manager extension I've seen. I've literally tried them all, and none come close. I can manage over 500+ open tabs across 5-6 windows now without breaking a sweat. And the developer is the best: always replies to any issues as fast as possible.

Jeff Eddings October 25th, 2021

I've tried a lot of similar extensions, but this one is hands-down the best. It's got all the right features and not a lot of fluff. It doesn't try to be the extension that runs your life, it provides exactly what it should, which is tab, window, and session management. Not to say that it doesn't have a lot of nice features, it just manages them well so that it's not all cluttering the UI. I like the seamless tab suspension integration, and one little feature that I love is the "Copy to clipboard" where I can copy the link as a linkified title, or I made a custom copy that copies a link in Markdown format. Thank you for the great extension!

Pretty awesome! Helped me find some Chrome windows that I had minimized on MacOS and forgot were there haha. Only thing that's missing for me is managing tabs across Chrome/Google profiles (I have multiple). Is this something that's perhaps doable with upcoming cloud features?

William F July 29th, 2021

Enjoying the extension thus far. Couple questions: Is cloud backup in yet or not? If not, how soon do you expect this to be implemented? And will it be auto/scheduled backup? Would the Google Chrome sync backup the session data for this extension or not? chrome://settings/syncSetup Also, can you add auto backup for local storage too? Preferably as a free option. I plan to subscribe for the cloud features but for those who can't subscribe or if the cloud goes down it would be nice if there's still a local auto backup option. Lastly, I was wondering if you have plans to show for closed sessions the "Saved # hour/days ago" and "# tabs" under the name of the closed session. Update: I've revised my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I'm a little skeptical about uploading all my sessions to a cloud so I'm sticking to local backup for now but I am giving it 5 for the back and forth with the developer over email which is refreshing. You can also tell he works very hard on the project and takes in a lot of feedback. I just hope I'll be able to trust the cloud backup some day (the fine print leaves me a little skeptical)! Thank you!

I've tried many Chromium session managers and found most of them to be frankly terrible. Tabs Outliner was probably the best but is not without issues. Happy to say that the search for a session manager is now over and tabXpert has won. +1 for the dark mode win. If it could just support Vivaldi tab stacking life would be good :)

Finally, a decent session manager for Chrome-based browsers! I've used most of the recommended extensions but they are all basically not up to the job. I had almost given up looking for a good one, but this looks to be just the ticket.

Andrey, it lacks some features to immediately migrate from Session Buddy 1. no modification time along with session name - no idea of how old session is 2. fail of importing 'Unnamed session's from SB (it could take mod.time as name) 3. it does not care about SB's sessions modification time - just bulks imported old ones as modified now on top of newer tabExpert's ones 4. export to html lacks sessions modification time too

Best solution to this problem: having to manage multiple sessions (one window per client / project) and switching between multiple computers. It just makes the context switching seamless, so I can jump back to a project exactly where I left off. Happy to support this extension, good job!

I actually don't like that I like this extension so much, because I don't want my workflow to be so dependent on another individual's plan, work, health, etc. But here we are. Being able to save pages in sessions by project and recall them as a lot (and remotely from another instance of Chrome) when needed has made me entirely dependent. LIGHT YEARS better than bookmarking in accomplishing that task. Don't ever bail on us, Andrey!! Pro tip for everyone: Set your start page in Chrome to the extension's "Secondary interface" window/tab URL. You're welcome!

This is one of the few session managing extensions still being actively updated. However, this extension does not support restoring Tab Groups. Restoring sessions results in disorganized tabs, which then need reclassifying into Tab Groups. Google has listed the Tab Group API as working since Chrome v89: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/tabGroups/ My hope that an actively-developed extension, like tabXpert, can now use Chrome's Tab Groups API to get it implemented. Everything else with this extension, works great, so this is a 5* review as soon as Tab Group restoration is implemented.

It was a perfect solution for me through this period of more than a year but I'm not able to pay 4$. The extension really gives you reason to pay this price but I can't. I loved the simplicity and UI, synchronizing across PC-Laptop was a breeze and never let me down, it just works! You forget that you have it installed like a extension, it should be implemented in Chrome itself. Maybe I would pay one-time payment of 20$ but subscription option is too much at this moment for me, too much stuff going on. Once again really pleased to use this extension! Thank you Andrey! Keep up the great work!

Excellent. 1) Can you make the pop up window bigger ? (have more than 100's tab group now). 2) Ca you make TabXper as Home page of chrome ? Usually I select a tab group to start my work.... Happy to give you a donation for this excellent work

I've tried about a dozen session and tab managers, trying to move away from Session Buddy (due to slow development), this is hands down, and by far, the best one out of the bunch (with a bit of a learning curve). Also, extremely responsive dev(s), you can tell a lot of love and thought went into this. Only missing integration with the new native features (e.g. tab groups, window naming, reading list, etc), but none of the other extensions I tried had that either, so I guess we're all waiting for API availability.

So far so good. Tried about 5 other tab managers, but so far this is the best.

This is amazing. I'm having a hard time figuring out why it's completely free. It does everything other tab managers do, but way better. I love how I can close the window normally outside of the app and it doesn't just disappear, but shows in the closed sessions tab. I love how there's a closed tab history inside of the session itself. One feature that would be nice; upon clicking on one of my browser windows, the session inside of the tabXpert window would highlight as well, so that when I move back and forth outside of tabXpert, I can tell at a glance which window I'm looking at. Regardless, I'd absolutely recommend anybody that has a tab addiction give this a try. I'll definitely pay for it when the option is available!

I have spent an embarrassing amount of time trying out different tab and session manager extensions: OneTab, Workona, Toby, Cluster, FreshStart, Tabs Outliner, Too Many Tabs, TabCloud, Synctab, Tab Session Manager, Tabli.... What I've been looking for is an extension that makes it easy to save a window full of tabs, restore and edit/replace it later, and sync with the cloud, and ideally also functions as a good tab manager for currently open tabs. I think I have finally found it. This extension does all that and more, going beyond even my high standards. It saves windows *automatically* with no action on my part. It has a simple, elegant interface that makes it easy to search both open and closed tabs together and quickly jump to the one you want. I don't have to remember whether I closed the tab or not. I don't have to think twice about closing a window, because I know it will be saved. Truly a game changer. Thank you!

This is what an extension should be like. Tabs Sync is just awesome. Access your tabs from anywhere / any device. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

i figured out a bug was happening between onetab and tabxpert, forcing tabxpert to always restore session; for anyone interested disable onetabs ''always open onetab on browser start'' and it goes away. with that out of the way- its amazingly useful, and one of the fastest and most lightweight of its genre

Simply the best! This extension go beyond its simple premisse of sync your windows and tabs, open and closed ones, through devices and you can also reopen them unloaded and copy titles and URLs from all those tabs. A must for a tabaholic as me hahaha two suggestions: now that the update amplified the horizon of this extension, you could integrate the "auto-unloading" system from the Auto Tab Discard extension. The other suggestion is creating a "return carriage" escape symbol for the copying title/URL system, like a "%n", for example, so I can make lists with URLs and their titles separated by a line. Anyway, you're doing a great job. Thank you so much :)

I rarely take the time to review apps, software or extensions, but tabXpert is worth the review! I tried about 12 different tab/window managers until I found tabXpert. It had all the main features I was looking for and THEN SOME (e.g., click and drag tabs, icloud sync, ability to to merge windows, name windows, and search etc).

The automatic real-time sync and history of closed windows and tabs are both incredibly reliable and helpful features. My old laptop has randomly crashed on me a couple of times and each time tabXpert saved every tab. The days of tab closing anxiety and post-crash panic attacks are things of the past. I also love how I can easily access it right from my chrome extension menu bar; I wasn't a fan of the tab managers that would only open in a new tab. There are only a couple additional features I wish tabXpert had. First, the ability to create sub-collections or subfolders in the main window and the ability to ‘Quick Sort’ tabs and remove duplicates (similar to the features in the Cluster chrome extension).

Overall FANTASTIC extension! So glad I found it!

I usually work by having tons of browser tabs and windows open. This is by far the best tab manager out there. It works in the background and aligns with the way we work. Love it!

I noticed that if i open the new tab page and close all the other tabs, after a short period of time the last closed tab automatically reopens (replacing the new tab page). Can this be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Very powerful and flexible extension that's been a game changer in helping boost my productivity and organizing parts of my life. However, this extension is as of yet incompatible with Chrome's native Tab Groups feature, forcing you to recreate each previously configured group for every window you restore through this extension, which gets tedious very quickly. Are there any plans to integrate support for also storing created tab group properties (colors, name, position) into the extension? I'd love to be able to properly make use of both the improved tab management of Chrome with the phenomenal window mangagement of tabXpert. That one issue aside, kudos to the developer for all their great work!

I wanted to really like this. I switched from Tabli, but now I am going back. I really like the functionality and the speed of the extension. The session saving and syncing is nice. However, the most used feature for me is the search...and it does NOT work properly. Searching should show matching tabs that are in active windows, along with a list of closed windows with matching tabs. This does not work. "Active Window" tabs are actually in closed windows most of the time and when I click on one it will open a new window (along with the dozens of other tabs associated with that window). This is a HUGE issue for me. I really hope it is just a bug that can be easily squashed. In its current state this extension is not helpful to me.

Update: After my initial review below, Andrey got in touch with me and helped me understand the issue better. If Windows crashes there is a chance of losing all the saved tabs - because tabXpert saves the data locally. Regularly backing up the data on the cloud should prevent this from happening. I have now turned on the cloud option within TabXpert. Accordingly I have also increased my rating to 4 star, because other than the issue mentioned I have had no other problems with the software. ############################################################################ It worked perfectly until the day it LOST ALL MY DATA - i.e. all active windows and saved windows. In other words, it failed in its basic purpose of saving the months of work I had put in organizing the different tabs / windows as per different areas of interest. This is WORSE than not having a tab / windows management extension. You come to rely on the software (as opposed to saving web addresses in word) and then one day it's completely erased.

The UI is cumbersome and requires far too much clicking. You can see the list of tabs for only one window at a time, so you must click on individual windows in the window list to see the tabs inside. In the window list, each window is shown only as a timestamp, so you don't know which window to click on. You must manually give the window a name if you want to see something other than a timestamp. https://gyazo.com/411e31a2f33a1c0a00841bc51ab4b80b I found myself clicking dozens of times and not finding what I wanted. When you create a new tab or window, a notification slides in from the right of the screen (not the browser window, the screen). The user has already seen the new tab appear, so this second form of feedback is unnecessary and distracting. https://gyazo.com/a96ddc0f3a27a598ddcfb23977f37e1e

Exactly what I needed. Amazing. 1) Love the cloud sync feature. How do you manage to provide this free? Must be costing you a lot to maintain? I would not mind if you make a premium (with a one time or a periodic charge) version of the extension to support bringing more useful features. However, please be sure to keep the interface neat, the way it is now. Not cluttered, not overwhelming. 2) I work on multiple computers at same time, multiple desktops & a laptop as well. It would be great if the software can automatically add the name of computer (e.g. Home, Work, or whatever works, maybe the computer name as assigned by windows) when saving with date & time; identifying the computer the relative window sits on. 3) Is it possible to have the option to open the TabXpert tab as a regular tab to the right of tab in which the extension's icon is clicked upon, in order to keep the similarity in the window interface? Trust me, I have used several other tab manager extensions & TabXpert is by far the best with auto save of all open windows, instant syncing across the computers & neat/simple interface. A true life saver.

This is by far the best tab manager I've tried. Many of them don't have cloud sync. The few that do like tabli have very annoying closed vs. open window feature where your window is listed many times. This tab manager works the way you want, has a slick interface, doesn't get in your way and has thorough documentation (like what selecting multiple tabs does). Really awesome.

Off to a bad start. I click for Help and I get a message saying "your file was not found". The only feature I am looking for is the ability to save all chrome windows and tabs with one click so I can restart my machine. Then one click to get them all open again.

I'm looking for an alternative to OneTab, which is simple and perfect except that it uses way too much RAM and CPU, making my browsers freeze and crash. So I was very happy to find tabXpert, with great reviews and a very responsive support, and truly wanted to find it perfect.But.... it's a much more powerful tool than OneTab (which in itself could be fine). However, after a few minutes of use, the extension "vanished". Chromium had disabled it. Other imperfections: no easy way to whitelist a tab via a contextual menu (I don't like pinned tabs due to poor eyesight), no easy way to rename a group of tabs, no easy way to "close all tabs to the left", and many other points I'm still struggling with. This is a quite powerful free tool which is lightweight so it won't devour your RAM and CPU but it's more of a windows manager than a tab manager imho. Maybe the developer(s) are trying to do too many things in one extension, thereby making the UI counter-intuitive? But I'll give it a shot and revise my rating up if warranted : )

I switched to Chrome a few months ago after many years using Firefox. I've been using tabXpert as my tab manager. As I learned that I can save open tabs in named windows and have the same tabs reopen up when I again open the saved window has greatly improved my work flow. Thank you for making this very well thought out extension available, and for the kindness I feel in your words when you respond to reviewers. I very much appreciate your efforts.

So far, it is perfect!!!! It has all the features I was looking for, its intuitive, it allows me to export the tab's links into a file that, in a worst case scenario, I can read and recover the websites... Just loving it! Productivity will increase substantially! :) A suggestion would be being able to organize the closed tabs into folders, so that the ones I am not working with at the moment can be stored out of sight. Thanks for inventing it! Definitely going recommend it.

Still figuring out how to use this (been using onetab for a long time and tabXpert works differently). So far I am very pleased with the UI and features and the developer is very active and responsive. **EDIT** Unfortunately after spending considerable time trying to fit tabXpert into my workflow, I am giving up. Pehaps one day I will try again but for now, I cannot spend more time trying to mold this into something it isn't. Going back to onetab.

Fundamental extension to manage sessions of tabs on Chrome! It would be great if you could anchor the list of tabs next to the browser window with a click, so that you always have an eye on it and just a click away. Love it!
