It's working guys. You need to disable/whitelist the page with uBlock Origin or what adblock are you using on Twitch page. That is why it doesn't work properly and loads forever the ads.

Its like the other Twitch ad blocker it only works sometimes. Twitch always changes their website to make the adblockers ineffective

Unfortunetally bugged. Causes stream to load indefinitely. After removing this extension everything is fine.

Work randomly, the ADS appear more often thatn the extention can block it.

It works most of the time, but sometimes displays the commercial break screen. It's better than ads all the time, so I'm content.

no ads but getting interrupted sometimes more often than not and other times not so much, hoping for a fix but its bearable in the meantime.

Lots of issues for me. Streams will either start paused, force a 'commercial break' placeholder screen for random amounts of time at the start, or streams will constantly freeze and buffer when playing/blocking ads. The option to disable the 'blocking ads' notification never works. I swapped to another plugin and immediately had all issues go away.

Working - 02/06/23

For some reason it "overrides" BTTV ability to mute a tab you aren't currently on. So if you have multiple Twitch tabs open, they will all play sound unless you manually mute them. Not sure how that happens but it does. I uninstalled because of this. Just an FYI for anyone wondering

Generally grateful for the support of this adblocker. I would rather stare at a black screen with no sound then watch a ad, but has nothing to do with supporting content creators. To that end, is it possible to have a second window playing in the background that will run ads, just mute them and hide the video with the ad content? No one has done this yet and I think it would help content creators out a lot. Maybe optional.

It works super well! Only problem I don't like is when it lags and buffers for a bit when blocking the ads but other than that it works just great.

No longer works. Refreshing on Commercial Break screen results in Commercial Break screen again after 5 seconds.

Blocks the ad but also blocks the video for like 10 seconds or so. Nevertheless, it's better than having two or three 30 second ads in the middle of great moments. I've heard Twitch is always trying to circumvent adblockers, so it's a perpetual state of war, and I'm sure Twitch Adblock will get the upper hand once again.

Not sure why the bad reviews for this product because for me its worked flawlessly

still the same issues as previously, stream freezes when ads pop, you may have to manually click the play button again or refresh the stream. on rare occasions, you will get the purple screen that an ad is in progress and there is no way to get past this one, you will have to wait it out unfortunately.

Well, technically you really don't see the add, but you have to wait the 30 secs of the ad to pass before begin watching the stream, it wasn't like that before, so I'm sad to say it does not work anymore.

blocks the ads and doesnt lag or interrupts the stream twitch will always fight but so will people making these thanks for making it :)

I doubt it's possible to completely stop ads given how much effort twitch puts into it, so don't expect it to be perfect or you'll be disappointed. That being said, this extension has been working better than all the other ones I've tried. How long it continues to work depends on the developers stamina for updates seeing how twitch is constantly making updates but for now, I think this is the best blocker out there.

Seems to work well. Twitch's constant changing of ad protocol might break things though, so we'll see.

seems to be working for the most part, only some small hiccups. Usually streams open up fine and start playing after 5-10 seconds of black screen, sometimes it plays a commercial break screen instead but refreshing and trying again worked around that.

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's not very consistent, when it works it's great, when it doesn't it's horrible. It glitches everything you have to uninstall it and reinstall it and then it'll work.. Odd.. I hope they do a better job of keeping it working constantly. I'm even willing to pay for a premium working one 100%

\ The new update is a welcome. I would say 85-90% of the issues has been improved. Possible Residual Issues Remaining (1) Hide blocking message doesn't work. "Blocking ads" still appears in corner regardless (although it may sometimes work) (2) Loading time into stream with opening ads is/can be slow (black screen with buffer symbol for a few seconds) (note: this might just be normal) (3) There can be freezes/buffering/stalls sometimes at the beginning, duration, and end of ad times but this tends to be short (although sometimes it can last a few seconds and you need to change resolution). (4) Occasionally, in opening a stream you get the purple anti-block screen and you need to change the resolution to fix it. Overall, still some work left, the patch is very welcome. Look forward to future updates :-)

It sort of works. First, it doesnt block the ads when you first go into a channel. It does block others though, but sometimes it freezes the stream and you have to pause and play it again to make it come up. Sometimes you have to do it multiple times.

I've given 5 stars as it worked perfectly for so long but it has definitely stopped working as of today :( Edit: It's working again perfectly. Good job devs

Overall, works much better than before. For me, when I use the "Hide Blocking Message" option, it crashes the stream during adds. But if this is left off, works fine. Sorry for all the other users spamming negative messages while you were working on the update. We appreciate you!

Even with the 11/23/2022 update, still getting the purple screen during pre-roll ads. Not fixed.

Top tier ad block. I've been guilty of it in the past, but we gotta stop leaving reviews once it breaks. Twitch is going to constantly look for ways to prevent viewers from using these extensions so it breaking is expected, devs always hop on it hella quick and find a solve.

Updated and now working again. Stop leaving negative reviews every time Twitch updates. Leave a 5 star review (because you know it does work) and let the dev/people know an updated is needed.

When ads are blocked, now it shows "Commercial ad break in progress" so the content is missed. It didn't happen until 11/21.

I loved it when it was working. Last 2 weeks not working at all. Hope they fix it. I would rather pay a dollar. Instead of buying 10$ twitch turbo. I would use vpn to connect Bangladesh rather than watch ads. 22nd November Not Working!

For the little time I used it, it blocked the ads perfectly. tho the most annoying thing is that i cant pause a VOD cuz smart extension keeps resuming the video. Please fix this asap cuz its a really good extension

Currently works partially. May cause interruptions in playing, had to switch this type of extension multiple times recently due to their store entry deletion.

Works perfectly for me for the last 4 days no issues, don't know how you could possibly mess up turning on 2 things and say it's broken ?‍♂️

It has issues. It will block ads but also freeze the video while they are happening. Inconsistent is the word. As of 11/18/22 it has been iffy at best. please update it.

Does what its designed to, only real issues im experiencing, is that the option to turn off the "hide blocking message" simply doesn't work, frame drops for when (I assume) an ad ends and another one begins, and pop up ads not being blocked. Other than the pop up ads not being blocked, getting rid of the 15-30 seconds of not being able to watch a stream is amazing, and is more than worth some slight frame issues where the ad break would be taking place. Keep it up <3

At the current moment, the screen freezes a bunch when you see "blocking ads" in the upper left hand side of the video. However, the dev(s) are working on a fix. Thank goodness for dev(s) like this that make Twitch such a better viewing experience for so many!

Why does this app need permission to view my data on ALL websites? It's a Twitch adblocker, you should only need access to Twitch/Amazon. That along with the reviews saying this doesn't work anymore makes me question how safe this extension really is.

it worked great until recently it stopped blocking ads almost altogether and instead showed a 'advertisement in progress' with a 'blocking ads' pop up it freezes at 22 seconds and stays there the ad seems not to end please fix it edit- i saw the dev is working on fixing this! thank you :D changing review to 4 stars instead of 3 :) will be 5 when the update is out!

Blocks ads, but the option to hide the blocking message doesn't work and the stream freezes each time there would be ads (others mentioned switching quality to prevent/remedy this, but that didn't work for me).

If your stream is freezing from ad, keep switching the quality it will make it stop..

No longer working

Works okay but causes streams to lag, fall behind IE (causes more delay to stream than your normal delay mine for example is usually 1 second or less.) it is buggy in weird ways but it more or less overall works but needs to be polished it seems in my own personal point of view.

I didn't mind subbing but after a while it started to become a waste subscribing to someone you'd barely watch. Spend 5 bucks one time to watch them only one time for a tourney or wager etc. PLZZ FIXX AND UPDATE im done giving money away just to watch a streamer one time.
