so called "Infinite Dashboard" Gives me no option to add my own bookmarks or change the link LMAO

This addon made the mistake of asking me to rate it. And I will. Honestly. Overall, it has a lot of nice features that could make it great. Sadly, it uses Controlled Target Market Advertising. When you Know the Code, you know that this is deliberately done- they Pin a large array of "apps" as ads. You must painstakingly individually click each one and unpin it. They do the same with the Apps Section, where there are columns of them. And you can only click each one one at a time to remove it. The intent is to make it painfully difficult on the user to bother wiping their garbage out of your view - as targeted advertising. And that scheming dirty tactic is enough that I only gave 1 star because Zero Stars is not a clickable option.

Unlike other reviews, currently I have the option to change search engine and remove search bar. Dark theme for the menus would be nice. Cloud sync for settings would be nice. However, it does what I want it to do; it lets me set a custom background picture without setting a theme for the whole browser, with a search bar for my search engine of choice (duckduckgo).

It was a good extension back then. But now the ugly search bar is unremovable. It's meh now.

Extension is Awesome but there are few things that annoys me like, 1) Search bar and Side bar are so annoying, Remove the search bar and side bar else make the settings work properly. 2) Bookmarks Preview should be sites logo. 3) Pinned Bookmarks on homepage can be moved to another place i.e. we should be able to move pinned bookmarks anywhere we want like in smartphones. 4) More number of pinned bookmarks should be available. 5) Games section is of no use, we can't play anything. 6) Using Play store we should be able to download apps inside infinite dashboard hub. 7) I am suggesting it to be made like Cloud Bluestack on which we can also play android games online without need to download it outside browser. And Last thing if you like my way to take out flaws in things then just send me job offer?

I have used this for years... it allows me to have whatever image I want behind my google search bar and thats all I care about. I pretty much don't use the other features. I have separate chrome accounts and therefore windows for my personal and school life: I can have two different "themes" for this reason and it makes me a chrome god

Fantastic. I only miss some customization options. For instane being able to choose the search engine of the search bar and having a dark mode for the extension menu. I simply cannot use the extension without the former and the latter would be a huge QoL feature.

very good for Brave users that want to change the background, but PLEASE add an option to remove the search bar in the middle. I will then rate 5 stars if it really matters :)

Best Extension for brave

i love it, it gives alot more options to how you want your google to look but i do have a small problem with it it that whenrever you press on the icons insted of it opening on the tab that your on it opens it in a new tab and i was wondering if that was a problem that evrybody has or just me

Best one among other Infinity Tab extensions.

I don't remember clearly but I'm sure the last time I installed this there was more options and the choice to choose what search engine you wanted for the centre search box as well as turning off the search box. Maybe I'm miss remembering idk but I don't want bing it should respect my browser choice, usually bing and others are forced on us when the developers want to make money through referrals I'm not saying this does but keep in mind it's the developers choice not ours. The animated backgrounds are pretty much the only reason I use it, but it needs to allow us to apply one from our local pc files.

privacy policy and chrome webstore privacy practices are not the same. in the extension privacy it claims to collect no information, in the privacy policy they do collect information.

The whole reason I downloaded this was because it had the option to remove the search bar, but now it is in the middle of the screen and with no option to remove it. Please update it so that we may once again hide the search bar.

Used to like this extension. Could hide the search bar. But now, it's forced and doesn't let you choose which search engine it links to. The search for a replacement extension begins, I guess...

Why I cannot remove the ugly search bar?

I've used it for a while and really enjoyed having the 'hide search bar" option so that my background was clearer but today I logged on to find that the search bar was back and there was no option to hide it. If you could fix that, it would be greatly appreciated.

I loved this extension as Its one of the only ways to change the background image in brave but not all of a sudden they smacked a big search bar in the middle of my new tab image. Why would you add this feature without adding a way to turn it off?

I think this is the only way to change the background image in Brave.

I like the work being done on this extension but unless I have the option to disable the access for my browsing history or this being opensourced I won't use it. I don't like it unnecessarily having the access to something I should be able to refuse giving the permission to.

Your really awesome super productive app gives me quick switch capabilities and I consider your app in itself a a full pledge Chromebook UPGRADE . There must be an option to select the grid (rows x columns) on the home screen. I don't want to scroll sideways to see the pinned apps.

I have been using this extension since version 1.1. I love this extension. I build all my own extension images and it is a beautiful interface. Two things needed: 1) Allow me to easily reorder the main (1st) screen icons easily (Click-n-Drag), 2) allow me to easily export all settings, including my images and import on to another machine. Make these happens, and this will be my start screen I would recommend to all my friends! It's is simply gorgeous, especially love the full video wallpaper.

This extension is fully customizable from the wallpapers to the apps pinned in home tab to everything its the best i have all my bookmarks and the notes is helping me a lot for if i have to take immediate notes overall its the best new tab extension i have ever used till date

Add 1) drag & Drop, 2) add bookmark sort options, 3) add the option to open bookmark in same tab or new tab, 4) add a screen capture function to grab a preview of the site you want to bookmark. A few ideas to make it even better! :)

It's beautiful but one thing is really annoying. Once you open the Hub the white background is actually really painful in the eye. I'm so used to dark mode version of pretty much everything I use. As it it comforting and better for the eyes in the evenings. Guess I will remove it and and wait until you add that feature! But I cannot work with the white background within the hub! I want to change that.

This extension is truly what I was looking for. Nothing is missing. The only thing I gave four stars instead of five stars, is that we can't move bookmarks by dragging them. This option would be very welcome and I urge the creators and developers of this new tab to do so as soon as possible. So it would be practically perfect. Flor Mang

It would be better if they can merge with another browser's settings. For instance, stats and time from Brave should be enable in the new tab together with this extension. Also, It would be better, if the calendars synced with google calendar and notes form keep in Google. Overall, this extension is a fantastic way to add background in brave and the hub is super helpful.

This extension is amazing! Not only does it provide customization but also useful factors! You can customize your background, your bookmark icons and your whole page! But it also provides a section for notes, to-do lists and provides useful bookmarks! Suggestions: I wish they provided a "costume" part of this, and by this I mean how when we can customize our home page, I like to frequently change up the home page in different colours (purple, white, brown, etc) and it would be really nice to have a button where we can save the pages as a costume so we can change it whenever we want. I also wish there was a button where we can change the tab colour instead of uninstalling and installing again. Overall a great extension!

I got used

NOT NEARLY as good as the other almost exact same sounding extension, "Infinity Tab". You can't create your own custom tabs in this extension and it makes you have the whole section of Mac related links even if you're not using a Mac or even own one. I'll say this, this ext looks SLIGHTLY better, but Infinity Tab has MUCH more customization in both areas of design AND functionality.

like it, very simplistic.. but i wish i can grid or make the bookmark i pin on my homescreen to align to the centre Also how to set it so link that i add on homescreen when i open that thing to opened on current tab and not new tab, because i don't like to open it in new tab

I wasn't really sure what I was looking for when I was trying to find something better than Chrome's default "start" page - but after a few different quires, I came across this, and I have to say, it is beautifully put together, and more than I was looking for. I'm already recommending this extension to my friends and coworkers - you can group tabs together and save them as a "Session" which allows you to close the tabs, and come back to them later (which I LOVE, because I keep about 10-30 tabs open at once ?). 10/10 - Would (and do) recommend.

It's super simple and easy to install, and great for if you want to customise your auto search bar without having to change it which is extremely difficult. Thank you!!

AMAZING!!

Very useful extension, but one improvement that can be made: I like to work in dark mode, and work on a large monitor, and I've put the black color as background in the new tab. But the issue is, whenever I open a new tab, it first gives a flash of white color, and then transitions to black color, and I feel like a flash bang has gone off before me. If you can disable the white-to-black transition, then it would be very helpful, and you'd get the remaining star!

it's really a great extension but still facing some problems like i can't add social media apps like whatsapp below the search bar and second problem is i cant't scroll down for background......... please give me a solution for it , rest everything is really good

Very useful and has lots of different features. Only thing is limited pictures to use as wallpapers but you can always download your own to use.

Had to swap to this as preferred new tab extension was outlawed by Chrome. This is okay - but would like the "hub" to be on the new tab, rather than another click away. Also, some method to save all my bookmark settings...

I wish you could increase the size of the displays both on the home screen and in the bookmarks section, make the screenshot displays bigger, also adjust the amount of pages you want to display, by amount in column and rows. Wish you could choose to display the search box at the top. Take a page from "The New Tab - Customize Your Start Page" I'd still be using them if they'd update their terms to no longer violate the Chrome Web Store policy. They decrease the size dependant on how many pages you want to see. Not completely hopeless, but better than uTab. Please lift your game though.

This thing is messed up. It forces the browser to IGNORE the setting that when you restart the browser it will start where you left off - with all the same tabs open that were open when you closed the browser. I closed the browser and when I re-opened it ALL my tabs were gone! Finally, I figured out I had to go into the "Hub" of this new tab page and find them there and re-open them. That's seriously messed up. So much work you have to put in just to do what the browser used to do automatically. No good. UNINSTALLING.

When clicking on a home screen shorcut, it always opens it on a new tab. Could you change this so that we can have options whether to open it on a new tab or stay on the one opened.

So two thinks keeping me from 5 stars are: Cant change Bookmark text colours or opacity (if I have a black background I cant read the text) Cant have folder slideshow of custom wallpapers... PLEASE ADD THESE I BEG YOU <3

This new tab that google has is awesome. So many things to choose from like nature, beaches, colors, art...and more. It integrates very well with Chrome and Edge. I love it!
