I was trying to find an extension similar to Multi Account Containers that is available in Firefox. I can't login to any webpage after the first website. I don't know if it is because it does not handle 2FA. Keeps on going back to asking for password then 2FA.

The extension itself works fine, but be careful if you subscribe as there is nowhere I can find to cancel the subscription and their support doesn't care to help me cancel it either!

I've been looking for an alternative for Multi-Account Containers I used to use on Firefox. This looked like it fit the bill, but I can't even sign in to any websites! I've tried multiple accounts, they all come back unable to sign in, try again later. The accounts work just fine outside of this extension. Please fix.

Can't recommend it at this point. It randomly stopped working claiming that another free device is already activated from your location, while that's not true. Just sounds like a way to money grab you and force you to subscribe in order to keep your sessions working.

Doesn't work at all in Brave Trying to create a new session just gives message "megbklhjamjbcafknkgmokldgolkdfig is blocked". If you try to manually load a site in that tab, cookies are not segregated between sessions. If you log in or out in that tab, it logs you in or out on all tabs.

Used to work okay - still not as good as Firefox's native container tabs, but I can understand it might be due to this being an extension and not a native browser feature. However recently it stopped working for me and all I get is a message saying "Another free device is already activated from your location". I don't need any of the fancy features, temporary sessions are enough for me, so I refuse to pay for all the knick-knacks I won't ever use. This issue started when my browser crashed once and ever since then I cannot get past this message. Final verdict: totally useless now.

Worked fine for a while, now it claims I am logged in at multiple locations! I only use this app on ONE computer. Please fix this buggy location detection.

Its broken, and their site is unclickable to submit a problem.

When it works, it works great, but randomly stops working by one silly reason or another. Now it says I'm already logged in on another device so upgrade the plan. I'm NOT logged in on any other device! Never installed this extension anywhere else anyway!

Exceptional Support Team especially to Lajos! He's able to help me with my concern in fixing the the locked out account. :) This is the only app that works for me since I'm using Google Chrome. You guys are awesome!

used to work really well, but now just says multiple login detected and doesn't let me fix it. total scam

Used to be incredibly useful, but is now un-usable due to a recurring error: "Another free device is already activated from your location." Uninstalling and re-installing the extension works as a temporary fix, but you can only use it once before the error reappears. Not worth the effort

This is the solution I have been looking for! I tried several alternatives, however none of them worked smoothly and as desired. With SessionBox I can easily login and use my sites with different accounts simultaneously, you just need to create a new tab and use is. Also I can save the tabs for later usage! Previously my daily routine was about logging out, entering passwords, logging in etc., all day. Now I just need to click one! Once I was in contact with their support, which was helpful and fast!

This used to be one of my favorite extensions, even paid for its use until the developer began their Netflix monthly subscription model. Now you can't even use it for free, as reported elsewhere here, restarting Chrome (usually because of an update) will now block you from accessing it, stating "Another free device is already activated from your location". No, it's not. But you can go go the way of Dropbox, Evernote, and other restrictive freemium apps - right off of my device!

pretty trash extension as of late, they will randomly lock your usage and prevent you from accessing your sessions if you use it frequently as a free user then if you decide to go premium to recover your locked sessions, they won't allow it so don't trust it. 0/10

Worked fine, but now keeps telling me that someone else from my location is using it, which is false, because I'm the only person. It forces me to sign out. It only works again after reinstalling. I lost all my stored sessions. This happened twice.

Seemed promising, but sorry, seems like they just want you to pay Installed to experiment and see if it does what I want, then I had to close Chrome because of a crash, and now it keeps saying another free account is already using something on my computer. Better to clarify things: "you HAVE TO pay, otherwise, you can't use this"

Very aggressive anti-commercial use wall. Worked great, until I decided to reboot from my linux install to my windows install for some games. Opening chrome, and syncing my apps triggered the message "Another free device is already activated from your location" and goes on to complain about commercial use and completely disables it. Signing out on the windows side does not fix the issue. Account Fubar. Go f yourself. Go back to using incognito you thieving peasant!! So it *would* get 5 stars, cause it *did* work great, until it didn't.

In the case of personal use, the account will be locked without warning, sessionbox just want you to pay for commercial license. Firefox has it's own multi-account containers, free & unlimit.

I have used this extension for years now without any issue. Then one day it refused to connect to the multiple blogs I use this for. One quick email to their customer support and now it's working just like it used to. Quite pleased with their customer service and would suggest this to anyone else.

SessionBox has stated that they don't look at contents within sessions. Well, I think they are lying about that one. I've been using Adobe Sign to manages all electronic documents. I had no problems with using SessionBox for multiple accounts until SessionBox suddenly blocked me from using the Adobe Sign because they believed that I was using for commercial purposes, which is not true at all. I didn't use it for any commercial purposes. I was only using it for school departments. That's not the point anyway. The point is that I feel SessionBox has overstep the boundary. Therefore, I have to give one star review for that. I don't care if SessionBox did the right thing, but it's UNNECESSARY for SessionBox to involve my business, period. So stay out of the business!

Stopped working saying I was already using it in my location while I wasn't.

I had 10 session boxes here and one day i see this notifications "Another free device is already activated from your location" i am the only one using it.

Don't install this extension , save your time ! I was using this extension. but now i am getting this error "Another free device is already activated from your location" However all sessions are closed , still getting the problem Rubbish!!

Used it for almost a couple of years. Now I get "Another free device is already activated from your location" message, and I'm not able to get rid of it. Looks like a bug (no other locations are activated in this very moment). Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. I guess there's a registry somewhere in my pc, can you tell me where I can find it?

I use to find this very helpful, I rebuilt my computer and now it seems worthless. After reading the reviews it look like my last extension was living in a bubble since I set it up back in 2018. It's very disappointing but I can't see myself subscribing to it if the free version doesn't even function.

It won't remember any session when you close and open browser, so if you have 3 different session on 3 different tab, close browser, then open it again, and it's just 3 regular tabs now... What's the point. It always wants to move you to the payed plan. Now it tells me "Another free device is already activated from your location". But I'm the only person in my household with this extension!

Used to be very good and helpful. The update eventually thought my number of sessions meant I was doing something shady, and forced me to pay to get any of my sessions back. I complied, but now my saved sessions act more like temporary sessions, where I have to log in every time it opens. It will even refresh randomly if you're away for more than a minute, causing you to have to log in again. I am PAYING for this product, and it's not even doing its job properly. Uninstalling.

Good extension! You do get a limited amount of sessions where you got to pay for premium but still works great!

I don't need all the bells and whistles, but this extension is really nice when trying to test local applications with different accounts. Don't have to mess with incognito windows anymore--just click to create a temporary session and you're good to go! It's the only such extension I've used that can do this without issue.

I used to love this. Used it all the time. Then they started charging for using so many different sessions. As a result I cut down, and only used one.... NOW it's decided to charge me for just using one? I feel like it's just turned into a get rich quick scheme...

Helps me in managing my clients' social media sites. I'm finally able to log into many Instagram, Fb, etc users, and work with these. I used to work with an opened up Firefox, Opera, Edge, Chrome, all using different users, now I can do it in one window, which is really helpful. To me it's worths the price, but consider if you can live with the free tier, as it also holds much of the useful features. But be aware, lately they've started to limit functionality and sites that generate revenue, and they require a paid subscription for these.

I tried this out, but was very disappointed. It wouldn't work with YouTube or Twitter, it completely prevented me from logging in. My biggest issue though, was the fact that it locked me out with a commercial use warning. Just because I visit sites where it's possible to make money doesn't mean I'm using them that way personally. I just wanted to isolate Google and FB services to reduce tracking, but it disabled my use of the extension because I visit sites where some people make money. It also bothers me that they're scanning what sites I use, considering the fact that I wanted to use it to reduce tracking. It's a great idea, but I'll have to find something else that doesn't penalize me for going to sites where it's none of their business what I'm doing there.

I've used Session box for years now! And the service I received was very polite when I brought an issue up!

Did exactly what I needed it to - allow me to use multiple Discord accounts in different browser tabs - until they decided I'm a "commercial user" and tried making me pay them for that. Absolutely ridiculous. But, perhaps I should thank them. Thanks to their greed, I discovered that I can just use ptb.discord.com for my second Discord account like I can do with the desktop apps. Bye bye SessionBox! Yet another great Chrome extension that went down the tubes when they tried to monetize it.

not actually free & tries to stranglehold you into premium subscription pricing. if i wanted to pay i would just purchase multilogin, a better service. also the support team is rude & dismissive.

Having used this extension for many months without an issue, I am now being asked almost daily to "upgrade for commercial usage". Having only configured this extension to isolate Facebook on my personal PC, I have now had to request yet again that I am unblocked.

I only use it to get on my side accounts on Neopets without having to log out of my main or open an incognito window, but it serves its purpose well!

originally a lifesaver for people like me who rp as fictional characters on certain websites : ie tumblr, twitter, forums, ect ect- i originally had recommended it to many people- only for sessionbox to implement many EXTREMELY expensive paywalls. i can understand 5-10 dollars a month, but not over 50 dollars a month. originally the free price tag and abilities to make as many sessions as i desired was a genuine draw for me, but now that i can no longer access any of my tabs, and i'm unable to pay for things for personal reasons, i no longer can bring myself to use, support or recommend sessionbox for anything.

I love this extension! It is very helpful when I need to login to site more than once to use different credentials. I also like that the different sessions are color coded on the browser tabs.

Have been using SessionBox for about 2 years, it's great. Does exactly what I want it to, and does it perfectly. The support guys are brilliant, super-fast and helpful.

I use this extension primarily for Discord and some other services where I need multiple logins to support my local communities. It simplifies day-to-day operations so much I wonder how I managed without it

I have been using SessionBox for many years now. It never let me down. It makes using multiple accounts really easy.

THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF MY SUBSCRIPTION TO SESSIONBOX IS TO CHANGE SESSION WITH ONE CLICK BECAUSE OF IT'S EFFICIENCY. WHY!! WHENEVER A COUPLE OF HOURS PASSED. MY SESSIONS ARE BEING LOGGED OUT LIKE?? WHAT IS EVEN THE PURPOSE OF SESSIONBOX IF THE SESSION ITSELF CANNOT MAINTAIN BEING LOGGED IN ON DISCORD? I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS A WAY TO GET A REFUND. 50 ACCOUNTS NEEDS TO BE LOGGED IN EVERY SINGLE TIME. WHY EVEN PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT ISN'T WORKING.

Not nearly as seamless as Firefox containers; I had to change profile and reload tab every time I reopen the browser as it messes it up. Now it complains that I can't use it for commercial purposes and there is no real reason why it is doing this. Also feels like it's tracking behaviour to make this decision.

It's telling me that I need to pay now because I use it for commercial which I don't. Look elsewhere.

This extension did everything you needed it to do if you have multiple accounts for one site and want to be logged into a few at once in the same browser window until unfortunately the creators got money hungry and decided to lock people's access to the add-on making the (in my case very incorrect claim) that the add on was being used for commercial use and additional license purchasing is required to continue. A great add on ruined by a cash grab.

don't bother downloading it. like all of the recent reviews, they've suddenly made some kinda update that claims that you cannot use it for commercial websites ("The Free tier of SessionBox is not intended for commercial usage") and locks you out from using it unless you pay. bro. i'm using it for TUMBLR, a very much non-commercial website. guess i'll go back to having multiple browser profiles instead lol

"commercial usage" Yes... totally commercial usage by using it to log into a NON-COMMERCIAL site. Don't bother downloading, it's become a cash grab.

turning off shadowplay seemed to fix it

Works for a while then tells you it's not intended for commercial purposes, and locks you out without any way of rebutting it.

Have been using it for around about a year, from everything to managing multiple discord accounts to playing games from multiple accounts. The downgrade for free version going from unlimited sessions to 5 for free tier was tolerable and expected. But now I am suddenly locked out for "using it in a non-commercial way, though I have been using it the same way for years. Don't download this application.

"Upgrade for commercial usage". Got it. I'm not using for that tho. Just trying to enjoy my roleplaying forum. The support explanation: "While having 2-3 accounts can be normal for a website, if you manage 10s of accounts, that is an indication that you are doing business on that website." Then why you ALLOW us to have more than 3 accounts? In fact, you guys set a limit, and I was already under the limit established. I couldn't create more accounts and got blocked anyway for using "too much". Note how stupid this is Malicious attitude to force users to pay for premium

This application really helps me a lot. I have to test an application that only allows one session. But with this extension I do not have to use different browsers but can have multiple sessions within chrome at the same time. Awesome!

Came back to this extension to try it again after it stopped working for me a few years back. Worked, but within two days I was banned for "commercial use" when just been using it to manage tumblr blogs for fun. I know the extension needs money to run, but abruptly locking me out of my own stuff and telling me to fork over money to get it back is NOT the way to get my business.

The new terms are ridiculous. You can't just assume your users are using your extension for 'commercial purposes'. I use the same chrome session and got a new laptop, and apparently because I was using the same chrome session, the bot 'detected' that I was using it for 'commercial purposes' and locked me out. I literally just used this extension to access /tumblr blogs/. That's not a business venture. It's a good app if it doesn't kick you out. Not worth 4 bucks a month. There's no way to appeal this 'commercial use' bs and just comes across as this extension being desperate for money by being hostile to its users.

Basically they wanted to get people's trust and recognition, then make it all "now pay us". You can get the same services from another extension, don't bother with SessionBox, they took user's trust and reviews, then they made it all pay2win.

I use Sessionbox to handle my different (personal) accounts on a few websites without having to switch browsers, make different browser profiles or constantly log in and out of them. In the past year that I have been using it, it has worked perfectly for me and I have been ever so glad of the ability to switch swiftly and easily between my accounts. Just recently my account was flagged about possible commercial use, but after a quick email to the helpdesk, the issue was resolved and I am happy to be able to use my account again. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for easy access to multiple accounts, because I enjoy it tremendously and think it's very comfortable in use.

I held my breath when they limited features that were free behind a paywall, like when you could create unlimited sessions that is now down to 5 but now I get "Upgrade for commercial usage". Now it's unusable! I'll give it a week if it's a bug but if I get it again I'll look for an alternative and remove this.

It's great when it works, but it's too buggy to pay for. This is a great extension for what I do, and there are very few things like it,..this is the most sophisticated one I've found, but there IS a learning curve on it. The product is best-suited to those at least moderately techno savy. A few things I've noted. 1..some extensions can interfere with it working that won't be resolved by removing cookies. You need to disable the other extension..I believe New Tab with chrome apps 1.4 is one 2.. If you are going to update a session's Website, the change may not show right away.. give it 5 minutes before making extra duplicates 3. If you are trying similar extensions, or for some odd reason, there can be a conflict with cookies..you should know how to reset them. 4. If you disable this extension, it is likely you will lose most of your setting and have to redo them. Again, the product is best-suited to those at least moderately techno savy as it can be considerably confusing/frustrating though great.

It only works for facebook/instagram, nothing else.. and is not technically feasible as sessions expire all the time anyway

I've been using this extension forever but suddenly today it says "cannot init user" and I can't log in. I tried resetting password, hard reset (which probably deleted my sessions anyway so there goes that). Apparently I can sign in as a guest but my account is inaccessible. Tried to use customer service but it also requires login which I cannot do? Otherwise it has been working perfectly.

This is simply hilarious. I have been using this extension for a while, and even though it has seemed to me like it's become less user friendly in time, I was looking into purchasing a plan so I could share sessions between PCs. That's when I realised that they've gone and limited the number of local sessions, a feature that was historically free, without warning, so that now I can't actually add local sessions any more without purchasing a plan. Well, thank you for making me realise the type of business you are, and making sure I'd never pay a penny to the likes of you.

I really liked it and it's definitely useful, just be CAREFUL, it doesn't seem to isolate Local Storage and Session Storage, websites can detect it with right tools that you are using multiple sessions.
