POS, doesn't work

It used to work great, but it has since stopped. I can tell it tries because when Netflix times out and I hit "Continue Playing" the screen is still greyed out asking if I'm still there and I have to click yes to get it back to normal. It just needs to be updated is all, but has been broken for a pretty long time now.

Garbage, does nothing & still allows Netflix to pause without permission. It does remove the message demanding you tell Netflix if your still watching but nothing more.

Does not work.

It's not working for me unfortunately. I'll update my review if anything changes.

love this extension but it seems they changed things yet again, i'm now actually getting the full screen "continue watching" interruptions, glad to see you're aware of this, hopefully will be remedied soon :)

Well it worked great for me up until Wednesday 4/7. Has anyone else had issues?

it works! It totally works! For those times where I would watch from the couch, at night, comfortable and under blankets, it was such a nuisance to get up, click Yes, only to find the comfortable spot again, then to get up maybe 15 mins again when watching short shows

Been using it for a long time. Had a few issues when Netflix changed some things, but it caught up pretty quickly. Use on several computers. It is so seamless and automatic, I forget I'm using it until I'm on someone else's computer without it.

I think the Windows update corrupted this because it was working great!

i loved this and it has worked great up until recently, when it became corrupted and the "repair" option does nothing. i tried to remove and reinstall, but that just gave me back the same corrupted, non-working extension. it is a shame because this was a simple and amazing extension... i suppose now i'll have to go download something that doesn't work as well or is bulked out with features i don't want

This is such an amazing app that works 95% of the time, and people are freaking out on the creator for not fixing it fast enough when all odds are against them. It's a FREE app. You guys have no entitlement to it whatsoever. Looking through this comment section is depressing.

It was great while it worked, just today I started getting the 'continue playing' message again. If you can't make an app that works, then don't make apps.

Can't wait for next iteration!

It stopped working after the latest chrome update. It was working perfectly before then.

This was so good until it stopped working after the latest Chrome update. I hope this gets updated and is able to work again, it was a godsend.

I've had this installed for well over a year now and it had been working perfectly fine up until yesterday. Not really sure what happened to cause it to randomly stop, but hope it gets fixed soon

I noticed a few people having problems with this extension not working. It has been working fine for me since installing it last year. However, yesterday it did stop working, so I just logged out of Netflix, cleaned browser history, closed the browser, then ran my free cleaning programs on my laptop. Just to be sure, I also cleaned the DNS server information on my computer by clicking on Windows icon on the bottom left of my desktop, typing in CMD in the box, then running that as an administrator. When the CMD boxed popped up (black screen with white text), I typed in the command IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS There is a space between the G and the /. This command cleans the DNS cache. And when I started the browser again, logged onto Netflix, the Netflix Pause Removal extension worked like a charm once again. I'm using Windows 7 and Chrome Canary as a browser.

worked flawlessy for the last several months - quit working 12/01. I am totally bummed - this extension is worth paying for! I am going to try to uninstall and reinstall.

So this worked for a bit but those pesky netflix folks found a workaround. Can you fix it again?

it should be illegal that netflix is allowed to stop providing their service until you click a button on the screen if i want to play a week straight of netflix videos i should be able to do so this extension offsets the evil of netflix

great idea but i can't seem to find an activation button... will update rating positively if i figure it out, but right now it's not user friendly

It would be 6 stars if the extension had a built-in customizable timer the user could set to stop Netflix after a specified amount of time.

Mixed review. Mine worked great for months, then suddenly whenever I start a flick After about 3 minutes it pauses. This happens on the first thing I click.

don't know if it used to work but it's definitely not working now. Maybe Netflix changed something that broke it

Prescott I hope since you have an amazing gift my father is a programmer and has been sine I was a little bitty girl and I am not that young anymore lol, but it is a definite gift and talent and for all of your hard work I commend you and I say to any ppl with ill mannered and rude reviews only then to thank you You really should think of the fact you downloaded a free program but it doesn't mean it is free from effort, a lot of design time inveted and investigation of the work from the other side to try to make things simpler for you the user. Appreciate the fact that basically anything in this realm is practically like a beta version and when you agree to use a beta you agree to put up with the ups and downs and possibiities of the application not working as you expect at times.

quick suggestion: have the icon change to red when it's enabled, and gray when it's disabled. the visual cue would be a nice touch. great job!!

Cool extension! Maybe if it wasn't open source, Netflix wouldn't be able to patch as easily?

This has worked great, developer updates quickly when Netflix changes things. One of the few extensions I run and it's an essential. Unfortunately we need an update as of yesterday, April 6 as Netflix changed their interface.

You do seem to run into a lot of bugs, patches and fixes with the 3 weeks since i downloaded. note: it is good that you do keep up with users trying out your applications and finding solutions to fix errors a user might have to improve your product/application

***UPDATED REVIEW*** The dev has done some great things and this does work for me now! Netflix decided to try to make this extension un-useable but, again, the dev has toiled and it seems to be working again! Great extension! --------------------------- *** OLD REVIEW *** I was really looking forward to this extension (as I prefer to sleep to the sound of my Netflix playing) but sadly, it has not worked for me. I still get the paused prompts sadly.

This extension works great, and Prescott Gallagher (the programmer) does an amazing job of updating the extension. Prescott, we need more software designers like you. Thanks for your diligent work fixing the extension after Netflix tried to disable it.

Yeah, this was great the first day I added it but every other day afterwards it keeps asking me if I want to continue again. This gets real annoying. I thought this extension would be a God send and it was for like 20 seconds. Feels like false advertising seeing as how it doesn't work for more than a day. Hope you can fix it and if you can consistently maybe I'll up my rating. ATM its where it belongs. *edit* It works now. Thanks for your hard work. Don't understand why Netflix is so insistent on forcing us to use the application WE pay for as they think we should.

Loved it until it stopped working; currently will not disable pausing. Un and re installed, didn't resolve EDIT: readded after update, works again. TY Prescott for all the hard work making this usable again

Love this extension! It looks like Netflix made an update that doesn't allow for the extension to work the last few days. Happy to say that as of 3/11, the extension is working great for me. Using the latest version of Chrome with it. Thanks for the hard work on updates and patching.

it stopped working all of a sudden yesterday, any ideas why. all i did was restart my computer. otherwise, this is a life saver. every night laying in bed i can leave it on and not have to keep getting up. thanks Started working again last night, great work dev.

Doesn't work. My browser won't even give the option to turn it on or off. It's just greyed out.

Love this extension. It has been working perfectly until the last couple days. I was going nuts on the anime for the last couple months. I think Netflix did an update and messed up everything. Looking forward to an updated version.

Was great until it stopped working a could days ago. Are they going to start this crap while watching a 2+ hour long movie too? I really should just cancel and watch it all for free elsewhere.

Good extension would there be a way you could enable an option to set the number of episodes that auto play.

Works great for me, if I don't blink at the right second, I can actually catch the pause block on screen, but it is gone so fast it does not even seem like the video/audio stops haha. Would adding the ability to let it pause again after a user defined number of episodes be at all possible some day? Because then it would just be perfect in every way :)

I cant thank you enough for this! That popup was the most annoying reason i HATED using netflix. A lot of times i'll lay on couch, or play a game while i've got it playing on another screen, and i HATED having to get up, or stop what i was doing to click that stupid button. (in a wheelchair so it made it even more annoying than normal) Autoflix stop'd working a long time ago. So you are amazing and I cant thank you enough! Great work!

I ran in to a different type of pause. The button class is "playRing." This might be the problem others are running in to? Seems to continue with a .click() call so maybe you can throw that in there too.

works as intended right after installing. there aren't any settings to adjust... idk what Meagan Brink is talking about.
