As so many others have pointed out this used to work flawlessly, but lately it will just freeze when an ad comes on. You can't skip ahead or back, pause or unpause, it just sits there doing nothing until you refresh. Rinse repeat. Nah.

Used to work good now can barely get it to play music. Gets stuck all the time.

Question - does this only work on the browser and not the desktop app?

It stopped working well a while ago. I hope there's an update soon, I might need to find a different work around if this keeps up. I used to use it everyday, now I don't remember that last time I did.

It worked seamlessly for a little while but more recently, I think spotify's algorithm has gotten smarter because the spotify web player just repeatedly produces an error box everytime you try to load the page, no matter what you do.

Pretty good at first but it still glitches and plays a little ads, and it's awful for last.fm

Honestly after a few hours of using it, I noticed that it hasn't really done anything to improve my Spotify experience. All this extension has done was change my Spotify ads into some different language that I didn't understand. This extension has done nothing but made the ads worse!!

Its good if your annoyed of ads use it instead of paying :)

Used to work well. Recently some bugs have came up and the browser has to be refreshed to fix it. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future.

Glitches once in a while; Still an amazing plugin. If an ad still somehow starts, move the play progress bar to the end of the song it says it's on. It may skip through the ad track. Try that same trick if it says "ad blocked" and isn't playing music. If it stops playing music, skipping will also get music playing again somtimes. Worst case scenario, you just refresh the page. Again, usually there are things you can try before refreshing (just play around with it), and I'd MUCH rather have to click something to start the music back up than listen to several minutes of ads between songs.

it works, but not perfectly. sometimes it'll get stuck after a song, so the way i fix that is by pressing the back button and then the skip button. it works just fine. it gets a little confused occasionally but besides for that it works just fine

Spotify has worked around it again!

its stopped working as of late :( every other time theres an ad, instead of skipping it, it stops playing. and when you try and play another song after it's glitched, the ad plays, but it displays on the bottom like its playing the song. and when the ad ends, the actual song doesnt even play, its just frozen on silence.

used to work real well but now I have to refresh every single time I reach the third song of a playlist. Don't know if this is because of a spotify update or not but I hate it :(

I was tired of hearing the same ad's about alison toy's podcast so, I decided to do something about it and I gotta say it works pretty damn well. edit of 1/14/2023: doesnt work as much anymore

Used to work great in maybe the last two weeks it stops playing audio partway through a song and then does not continue onto the next song. Messing around with it a bit and clicking the to the next song button will fix it most of the time. Hope that helps you fix it. Otherwise amazing when it does work. Not developers fault Spotify launched a new anti ad blocker strategy. When it works 5 stars.

This really helps when I'm play Valorant and there's something to help see the song that's playing if your in a different tab or game on a 2nd or only 1 screen it's called "Extension Player for Spotify" yes that's it name, but helps a lot with something like this

It was working and then I saw an error popup and I get ads once again. I reinstalled the extension but it didn't help. On to the next extension I guess.

used to work perfectly fine till now , started facing a problem recently , cannot use controls of spotify miniplayer while using this extension & can not skip / pause songs from the play/pause or next/previous keys on laptop / desktop.... Blocks ad well tho, never seen any ad since the day i installed it

Works well, but recently has a problem where songs get stuck before ads or it'll say it blocked an ad when manually skipping forward, and display the song as playing, but be playing the audio of the ad. I suspect this has something to do with the big G cracking down on ad blocking extensions with their updates, rather than the performance of the extension itself. Still the best thing to use, EZblocker being the less consistent desktop app alternative.

Works perfectly fine. But after using it for 2 days, my Spotify account got blocked. Can't seem to access it. It says there is no account for this email exists.

like a real chad i bought premium so spotify gets more money, i know they dont need my money considering that they have a lot of money but I still like to imagine that they do need it.

I wanted a break from the ads and got it

Normally I can deal with ads, but when Spotify forced me to listen to Christmas songs a month before December even begins, this extension became my lord and savior. 10/10 no more Christmas songs in November.

Amazing extension! Before SpotiAds, Spotify felt unusable. Listening to music became more of a hassle, having to close out the tab every ad and reopening than a leisure. Extension works perfectly!

I use it all the time on my Linux distro. Works like a charm, never experienced any abnormalities. idk how long it will remain on the web store but I would recommend you all to download the .crx file for this extension before it gets taken down.

I usually don't leave reviews on the webstore, but i just had to for this one, couldn't be simpler to use, the definition of plug-n-play, just install it and forget about it, never listen to another spotify ad again. 11/10 would recommend again.

This is an amazing extension and you could get rid of the Spotify Ads, And by adding this feature that s automatically pause Spotify when we watch a video on YouTube, it would be legendary. After all thank you from developer and wishig to add this feature

Tried ublock origin and other spotify ad blocking extensions but they didn't work on my browser (opera). The ad would be skipped but then the player would freeze. This one works well.

Stopped working as it did on today 6/17/22. When I play songs lately it plays ads.

It stopped working today: 6/9/2022. Now when it attempts to skip ads it skips several songs as well.

It's good but sometimes it just won't work when skipping a lot of songs. Still works 95% of the time tho

great extension and it does the job. i haven't even listened to a single spotify ad in ages with this. the only problem with it is sometimes (rarely) it glitches the song up, it's not something to be concerned though, a single reload would fix it and you're back listening to nonstop music with no ads.

Hm, at least at this moment it doesn't work. All that happens is that the ads stutter a bit at the beginning and then they play anyways

well, another extension called "Spotify Ad Blocker" turned out to be a malware, and the author removed it before reports, so I'm now using this as an alternative, I'll change the rating after using this a while, just watch out for malwares !

Seems to remove ads nicely, but a pesky Spotify ad managed to weasel it's way through!

Almost a perfect thing , literally hats off to you , just a small issue , whenever it plays over 5 songs it shows "Please note that Spotify Ads Remover can't control other over playing devices, so ads will not be removed unless audio will play from this tab" . Please find a way to stop this, and after this it stops the queue and i have to start again. Please solve it Dev's , and thankyou for making this wonderful thing <33

sometimes spotify's webpage has troubles loading, and turning the extension off before opening the page helps, but this is annoying. Also, several times missed the ad

This fr tells u how many ads that has been removed, and it is the best.

Hey one problem. when it shows another device is playing, it says 'PLAYNIG'. wrong spelling! BUT BRO! you're my lifesaver! I used to get so much irritated by ads on Spotify! thanks dude.

Please remove the bubble notification when an ad was blocked. We trust your application - no need to shove it on our face that is is blocking apps.
