1) does not work on anything other than the homepage 2) death to google doodles
works on homepage only, not results page or new tab page. The communist propaganda shines through.
Stopped working today for the stupid women's day BS.
didnt work
Did not work
At last no more daily doodles decided by some woke committee at Google telling me what I should be worrying about each day!!! This worked perfectly for me but (as it says) only deals with doodles on Google search website eg www.google.co.uk. Then I went and got the redirect new tab extension (as described in the details of this) and that worked perfectly for new tabs. Thank you! I'll send you some oranges for Xmas. NB I only use Chrome so I can't comment on other browsers.
Removes the all the annoying political doodles that are offensive to my culture/heritage. Love it!
It didn't work on my Chromebook. I don't want to change from Google, but I can't stand looking at the Doodles any longer. I first gave a low rating but in a few days it started working! I can't believe it! I didn't realize how irritating some of the Google Doodles were until I know longer have to see them. It is so refreshing to see white space.
It works. Tested it on edge and chrome for the google doodles on the webpage and it replaced them with the google logo. It also removes the doodles when you are in the search results which is great too. Just in time for February. Thanks for this ??
I saw it had 3 stars before... and I hate when things don't work. Well I installed it, immediately checked google.com and I see a beautiful logo NOT the annoying doodle. So it worked. 5 stars.
It's not working!
Not working.
Didn't worked for me
It didn't work at all. The doodle is still there.
It didn't even work, when i see everyone saying it does work. But no this does not even work at all.
unfortunately it doesn't remove the doodle from the new tab page. most doodles are extremely ugly, and it would be nice if there was a functionality.
The extension worked great at first, replacing the irritating doodles on google.com with the plain vanilla logo; but after a while it stopped working and the doodles re-appeared. Every once in a while it starts working again, for no apparent reason, and quickly breaks. It'd be an awesome extension if it really worked.
I used this for several yrs & it worked great until Sept1, 2021 when Google felt the need to break all previous known methods of suppressing their doodles. Why do we have to keep playing whack-a-mole and finding new ways to eliminate the BS doodles that Google feels the compulsive need to keep forcing on their users. This gives you a clear picture of who Google is.
stopped working as of september 2021, pls fix
It used to work perfectly for me. The doodles would at least disappear for some time, until a new ''event'' worldly event would come on, meaning a new doodle, which would be seen. Now it does not work at all. Please fix this
It used to work but no longer. It appears not to be maintained anymore.
Does not work anymore!
didnt work
Thank you! Google Doodles are garbage.
On some days it stops working. Like today is Earth day, and the doodle is NOT blocked. Please fix this!
No longer works because Google wishes to slow productivity with the unnecessary and questionable educational distraction.
Worked once, then did not work. Really Google, really???
It removes the doodle as expected, but clicking the google logo still links to the doodle's page. Based on past reviews, this used to work properly. Google ruins everything in the name of profit!
Only works on one out of five tabs I open. First it opens and great no doodles. Then the next four tabs show the doddles. Why dose chrome force this on people? Google originally was great because it was not distracting now you can't use google with out being distracted by google doodles.
doesnt work when you open a new tab, only works the first time you open chrome...
For some reason stopped working.
It doesn't work for me, but I love the idea
Doesn't Work.
Doesn't work on Opera. Hope there will be Opera version soon. It DO work on Edge and Vivaldi, and it's amazing.
Thanks, it works well. However, since the new tab page Doodle can't be removed, I think other users should download another productivity extension called 'Empty New Tab Page' by Thakis.
Doesn't really work anymore
Does not work for new tabs. If anyone has a work around please tell me.
Brilliant, thank you! I no longer have to look at another bloody Google Doodle.
why doesnt it work
For the main page and after search yes it does hide doodle but for new tab it doesn't for someone who uses new tab as main page disappointing even though makes agood job 3 stars
2 stars for a great idea - but Does Not Work for me !
It doesn't work unfortunately( Good idea but not result I even ready to buy subscription on your extension in case you'll fix the problem.
Love it. Distraction free work. Thank you so much
This extension is SO great. The layout looks perfect and works instantly! The doodle never shows, not even a flash!
thank you :)
It worked as advertised and instantly blocked the Google doodles
Does what it's supposed to - and now I finally have peace! Thank you!
Doesn't work. Uninstalled it immediately
Awesome idea, thank you very much. One distraction less!
Works a lot better than the "Doodle Blocker" extension, including support for the Google Images logo. Doodle Blocker also started having logo positioning issues as of late, and I am so far seeing no issues in any regard. This seems to be much more optimized and containing more features. Love you
It doesn't work! Those doodles are so annoying!
Beautiful idea. Doodles have become more frequent, flashy, and annoying. Simple but very effective.
You are a hero
Does exactly what it says. (I reserve 5-star for something good beyond expectation, so there's nothing wrong with 4-star)
Amazing! This addon finally removed those annoying doodles
