Couldn't authorize the google calendar. The button didn't work.
You just solved my Dad's problem using the Magic Mouse with Google Calendar - swiping across months was driving him crazy. Thank you kindly for creating this and making me the hero of the day! The kudos is yours!
Night time hours can not be hidden. The morning one works just fine.
Got to limit the hours displayed in week view to 7-23, and it does so - BUT does so by clipping the end, and it does not zoom / enlarge the calendar to the available window height. So, its not that useful for this, in my opinion. But, it does what it advertises!
Thank you the stupid scroll feature was litteraly the worst thing in the world
I only installed this because I was told that this extension can be used to hide useless morning and evening hours ..... but I can't see any setting for this.
Just the fact that it reliably disabled the annoying horizontal scroll behaviour is enough. The other features are great (I'm yet to explore them fully) but that scroll was annoying!
In the year view, the highlighted days are on the wrong days. I made sure I had the same calendar selected in the extension and the list. It shifted events by one day for some reason.
AMAZING - I've been searching for something like this for months and finally found you! Simple to use, good explainer video. Does exactly what I need: expands google calendar month view so I can see all my events in one go! Well done for providing a truly useful service for other similarly frustrated GCalendar power users!
Thank You!
this is crashing Edge chromium
This is great. Is there any way you could make it work for custom views, like a 2-week view?
Works great to remove morning hours (which Google won't let you do even after setting Working Hours), but it does not hide nighttime hours.
added extension to limit the time range in calendar, and technically works, but does not enlarge the vertical space at all and instead just 'crops' the standard display, which doesn't end up helping all that much (both ends up with empty vertical space)
The calendar authorization login looks sketchy. If I'm logged into my google account, shouldn't I just be able to authorize the extension? Too worried to type out my user/pass out on something like this.
the ability to remove the early morning and turn off month scrolling saved our office from total madness.
Honestly, there's not many features that I really care about except the ability to hide inactive hours, but that apparently doesn't work. Even if it did, the two boxes doesn't allow me to hide hours 1am-8am for example. It just x am to x pm. I don't sleep 12 hours a day. "Titles on Hover" doesn't even work for events that are combined so you're basically only showing the title on single events where you can already see the title. What's here isn't useful or doesn't work. I'm really disappointed.
Worked for some time, then accidently stopped displaying all day events. I reinstalled it - didn't help.
Lets me copy an event over the span of multiple days, like my work shifts. Beautiful beautiful 10/10
This is fantastic! Thank you so much. I use calendars a LOT! This will make organising my life so much easier.
very disappointed. CAme to this extension to reduce the hours the calendar displays to show relevant time of day in greater detail, but the Day Start/End: function does not work at all.
Amazing! It is working very well. I researched how to hide morning and night time and i saw the recommendation for this app. The author even dived into goggle support community to answer questions and offered help to individuals. The developer is so helpful, kind. Thanks so much.
Doesn't do anything, can't get past the authorization part. Can't see a calandar. I just want a monthly calandar to pop up, how do I make that happen?
worked for about a day and then nothing have everything ticked the way it was before when it worked but not responding at all. I hate things that are buggy
Well i didn't see any changes even after I've authorized the extension, especially the Multiple Copy didn't show up at all, it's the feature I desperately need :(
This extension allows me to see only the working hours, make some really neat options, and is completely free. Of course, if you can afford, please donate.
Doesn't work - authorize button - no response.
Google Calendar still displaying "+More" in Month Views and not expanding.
Hey Neil, great tool. I enjoy the options. There is one thing missing though; it would be very convenient to have a way to select a few events together and copy them together to other dates in the calendar. And it would also be great to have a way to duplicate or copy an event multiple times in the same day (for instance, a homework session you want to appear in the same day 10 times). And again, I think this is a great and convenient tool!
Installed it 10 minutes ago specifically to eliminate the morning from the calendar view, set up was quick and easy! I'm not sure if it mentions it anywhere in the documentation, but I needed to refresh my already open calendar to see changes. That's my only complaint, worth about .1 stars, so I'm rounding up to give you 5! :-)
It's pretty good. I primarily got it for its ability to constrain the time range viewed in the viewport. Whilst it successfully allows me to view, say, only 5am to 11pm, I think the script may benefit from nevertheless expanding the height of what IS viewed to the full height of the browser viewport. On my iMac screen, this just leaves a lot of white space, whereas what I hoped for was to EXPAND focus on key hours.
As is their habit, Google made a change to how I what I can see on my monthly calendar. Grrrrr. This app fixed the problem. Thank you Neil.
Doesn't do anything
Would love to give this 5 stars, but it is giving the dreaded "Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app", therefore it doesn't work. If it gets fixed, please update us. I'd love to try it out. Seems exactly what I'd need when using multiple calendars with a ton of events. But until this is fixed, it isn't useful at all.
I get Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app when trying to authorise.
This app seems like it could be really useful and there has obviously been a lot of work put into it! However, when I try to show more events in month view, it stretches the days out vertically and lets me scroll (which is fine), but then doesn't actually show more than 2 events per day (it just shows "+2 more" like the page without the extension does). Being able to see many events per day in monthly mode is why I downloaded this extension, so this is a major issue for me. I did refresh the page so that may have caused the issue, but I reset it manually and it still isn't working. How could I fix this? I really think this would be a gem of an app if not for this issue.
Super awesome features! Great work!! Thank you for the amazing extension :)
Argh, so close yet so far! I was hoping that "Show more all-day events" would expand Google's annoying collapsing of reminders, but alas I still just see a single "X reminders" instead of the actual reminders on days where there's more than one. :-/
This is the greatest extension ever created!!! BE PATIENT when first downloading, I kept refreshing my page because it was not working immediately. About 12 minutes later the desktop Google Calendar app was running slow. I refreshed it again and everything was how it should be. You can view all your events without the "+2 more" problem, everything is just there. Each days box/cell is taller. Another great feature is that you can copy any events to multiple days at once. It also pops up in a neat little box & you can choose the days with a calendar design. Without the extension, you have to remember which date, and then choose it from a word list. All around amazing extension did exactly what I wanted it to do couldn't be happier!
Only thing that I wanted- To be able to see my events in the year view, as most of my events range from the 2 week, to 3 month size, for work scheduling, and this is not possible despite it saying it is in the description. So: only thing I need it for and it doesn't do it. haven't been able to find a way to do this yet.
I installed hoping that I could print a calendar with lots of "all day" events and have the calendar not end at 2:00 and smash everything into a tiny box at the end... but that didn't work. (Extension never said it would, but I had to try.) I'm having issues with the all day events though. Some times they pop up all condensed at the top of the screen, and other times they 're way stretched out with much more white space than there was before. I've tinkered with the different checkbox options, but I can't get it to be consistently one way or the other. :-/ I DO like that when I have the extension turned on that I don't accidentally reschedule a meeting when I try to open it. That's a HUGE plus when you manage multiple calendars and have a super touchy mouse.
I really wanted to alphabetize the all-day events when viewing multiple calendars at once. I have 2 vacation rental properties so I'd like to see when each is available. So "Apple St available" or "Apple St booked" would always show above "Banana St available" or "Banana St booked". So in theory it should work and always maintain the #1 and #2 rows at the top of each day. But it winds up overlapping timed events instead of the timed events showing below and actually leaves a blank row. Close, but no cigar. :(
Thank you from the deep of my heart for providing option of hiding unuseful hours!
Having a functional multi-copy for recurring events that don't fit Google Calendar's recurrence formulas has been such a time-saver that I feel compelled to give this extension five stars alone. The developer is very responsive to feedback, as well!
This extension *almost* makes the Google Yearly view useful, but it still falls short. It will highlight each day red that has an event scheduled, but you can't toggle your calendars to change which days get highlighted, which to me, is what would make that feature useful. For instance, if you have a holidays calendar, and you're trying to see what jobs you have scheduled on another calendar, and anniversaries on a third calendar, you can't discern which is which and it becomes useless for a condensed scheduled job view. It works fairly well, but I would hope Google add some of these features themselves in the future. I guess we'll see.
Awesome and saving time. I like the ability to see the whole year calendar shaded with busy days, and click on the day to see events.
Hi Neil Used this for a while and love it. But recently timed events stopped showing as a coloured bar - and returned to a dot. The only thing I can do now with your extension is change the size of the dot - nothing else works. I tried reinstalling - but with same results. Maybe I'm not reinstalling properly ?
I'm trying to use this to see some kind of ANYTHING that makes it obvious in YEAR VIEW that there's an event on a particular day. I'm looking for ANYTHING. I gave the app the permissions but nothing seems to be changed... EDIT: You have to check the box for "Months Show Busy Dates." Wish the day was bolded on top of red because it's still a little difficult to see but I changed my review to 5 stars.
Does not work properly. I attempted to add an event to 3 upcoming days in a different month. It added the event to the wrong days and only put the event on 2 days. Sure was hoping this would work.
Not working for me, nothing happens.
Finally you have solved my biggest frustration with Google calendars - not being able to copy an event multiple times without it fitting into a regular recurring pattern! I used to have to do this on my phone using Business Calendar but this is great, thank you!
This doesn't work at all unfortunately. I've authorised the extension and reloaded the page, but not of the options do anything. Looking in the console shows the following error when changing options in this extension "Error in response to storage.get: ReferenceError: $ is not defined"
I have ticked and unticked all the required boxes and set the time however nothing is working for me. Could someone please tell me how to get this extension up and running.
Hi, I have entered the times at the bottom of the box, refreshed my calendar page but it is still not working Pls advise?
I installed purely to disable scrolling in month view only, which works exactly as you'd hope. And now I make use of some other features too.
Where do I drag and drop the red button?
Hey! I would really love to use this extension but none of the features are enabling. Any insight?
Thank god! I was losing my mind scrolling up and down in week/7 days view. Those giant day numbers just mocking me, taking up space. Now the numbers are a reasonable size AND I can set my time frame to view. I was searching for a solution and I saw you replied on a google forum for this issue. Thank you!!
Unable to enable features and developer not responding to request for help. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but would love to be able to benefit from his hard work, right now, not so happy with the program.
I found this app when I was looking for a way to view my schedule from a "year" view, and I'm really looking forward to using this functionality! However, it seems to pull data from all of my Google calendars, even though I only have one selected to be displayed - is there any way to select this?
This is an excellent app. Thank you so much for spending your time and effort creating this for the frustrated-google users requesting all day events be sorted by calendar and NOT alphabetically. You honestly deserve a medal for this. The app is extremely easy to use and well put together. Cannot thank you enough!!!
After months of frustration with the calendar scrambling my all-day events by putting them in alphabetical order, my calendar is now back to sanity. Thank you!
very good extension! love the features!
The "Copy to Date" feature is light years ahead of the "duplicate" that Google uses. Thanks for making this available!
This extension solves the hidden hours problem that has plagued google calendar users for half a year (with no fix provided by Google). Also has other useful features like previews for longer event titles. Thank you so much for this work.
