Does not work well on chrome. Works great on firefox 5 stars and use it daily
This reader is best suited to someone at least somewhat computer savvy with patience. While Tranquility Reader doesn't offer options that I believe should be standard, such as image on/off, it has an attractive typically unfound option. Uniquely, it lets you define, name, and save Presets, that can even be named to favorite sites. Presets offered by default, don't seem well-coordinated to the average computer user, and that's why I don't recommend it to beginners. It does a less than average job of getting past paywalls, and almost seems to mockingly remind you that the site isn't free. Nobody wants to go through life blindly click-baited and mocked. The icon in the Context Menu is a tease because it doesn't open links in Reader View. I keep the extension name in a list in case I want to reinstall if I ever have a particular need for very specialized presets. The extension is appreciated, but likely not the best for the average user.
Just tried a bunch and this is the first one to work (maybe my other extensions were blocking the others). Very nice/fast thank you.
Look it works. All I need is to be able to read it and sometimes copy it. And it serves that purpose. But guys, pay for it if you can. If you only need one article, then you might as well use it. But if you are a regular user, try to pay for it.
This extension has so much promise! As of Feb 24, 2021, it works as intended in terms of decluttering, adjusting font type and size, and text display. I can feel the strain on my eyes lifted! Being able to save and manage my own pre-sets is also quite powerful. However, no matter whether I use one of the presets or customize my own, changes to the background and font colors do not work. No matter what I select, it remains in a kind of "night mode" with a dark grey background and a pale blue font. In addition, on my Mac at least, the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+T) does not work. I think I could grow to love this extension if these issues were fixed.
Could you please add a keyboard shortcut?
