Too much setup just to try it out.

This is a bit of a cheat. No warning before installing that they want to charge money - and a lot. Cannot even try before paying. That is being dishonest - they should say up front, before installing and registering, that you have to pay, or else offer a version that individuals with no org backing can use for free. Gives the impression of money grabbing.

I was sort of shocked to see all the negative reviews - I've been using this for years on my phone, ipad, chromebook, and Mac, and it's such a huge time-saver. I use it for so many different things. Haven't had any issues

I use this for work and personal and it's amazing. I was using Magical but it started lagging, but TextExpander is so great I went ahead and purchased the yearly plan. It was a lot more affordable than I thought it would be and I can use it in the browser, chrome extension, and as a download app on my windows pc and my work mac.

If you take the time upfront to configure the app in a way you know you'll use, then TextExpander will save you TONS of time. honestly, pretty fantastic!

Mac version is excellent - this one not so much - I still have all my Mac snippets, but they don't expand in all programs/websites nor do they expand without the hotkey - Highly ineffective and awkward to work around

I really like how there are no limits on folders. So far this is an excellent text expander. Unfortunately, there is no indicator when you have conflicting hotkeys on chrome. I don't know how they missed that.

More powerful compared to others. Be careful with the Windows version because it randomly says you are offline and loses snippets.

B..it. Why do I have create an email address by force? I can save the data anywhere I want actually. Cheap way to gather the emails.

Kind of disappointed that it will not expand snippets inside messages/compose email/reviews (such as this one), but delighted all the same that it exists as an extension for Chrome! Keep up the good work! Wish there was a work-around for it not being able to expand in a (compose gmail message) window.

I can't live without TextExpander. Now that I've built up a library of snippets, typing without it seems slow and barbaric :) It was literally THE one app that has stopped me from converting to using a chromebook. But now it's on the Chrome web store! This is huge (that's what she said)! YAY!!

A miracle addition for anyone who jumps between OSes during their day. Thanks Smile!
