need heroku premium to run . i saw migrating to glitch is an option but i dont know how to do that
No longer free need heroku premium to run.
amazing useful extension ever, i used it on limited bandwith and open manga web with ease. good job.
Does it still work using free heroku? It says that how much mb I save but I check images before and after I turn it on but no changes on sizes or that's not how it works? I also notice that it turns all the images into grayscale how do I fix that?. Thank you.
Instructions on video unclear - please update. We're just guessing at this point.
freaking awesome, it save me a lot of bandwidth. not for an average user tho, because you need to do some technical thing such as deploying your own web service for this extension. but it is worth the time.
I got it working in Kiwi Browser for Android (thanks to the instructions posted here by other users) ) but strangely it just doesn't work in Chrome. Any idea what could be the issue? Do I need to use a different Heroku account?
it does not work
it's not working anymore!
This extension works well for me by following the instructions and creating a HEKO machine instance for free. The extension does NOT seem to like it's "disable on this site" option when you try to stop it working on a particular web tab.........it seems to cause the whole extension to start screwing up.... but other than that, it saves a lot of needless data going through your DSL line which is a great thing......i think it's saved me about 6 gigabytes already....... i was on a 30 gig per month data limit but got a free upgrade to UNLIMITED ......but i still use this extension anyhow incase the 30 gig per month limit returns on my DSL line
Still works, and works like an absolute charm. Turned a 2.5MB image (2 minutes to load) into a 40KB image (loaded in 0.9 seconds). For someone with horribly slow internet, this is actually a godsend. Heroku setup was done in about 3 minutes, the 8 hour "sleep period" Heroku requires is.. well, humans go to sleep for 8 hours a day too right? Just let it sleep then. My favorite manga reader app, TachiyomiSY, even has support for Bandwidth Hero. Easily turns me waiting 10 minutes just to load a single chapter into NOTHING. This still works. If you have less than 30MB/s internet speed, absolutely use this!
Chrome extension is working very well. But FireFox addon is not working at all. Please update it.
Awesome, seems like i use opera browser but actually its' chrome/edge. What a wonderful Add ons!!
Works well with Heroku even though I don't really know what I'm doing. I just followed the instructions, copy and paste, and voila! Data compression so I don't use up all the GB on my stupid Straighttalk hotspot!
works and saved a ton of mobile data
Awesome! Works great! Though on some sites, like Youtube it doesn't work. It's nice that you can set them to disable if it doesn't.
Working for me
My stats when writing this review: 133,703 images processed, 10.4 GB (68%) data saved.
This is the by far best open source thing available just love it
Uso internet banda ancha movil con un limite de gigas por mes y ademas el internet es lento, esta extension me ayuda enormemente con ambos problemas. A veces deja de funcionar pero simplemente hay que reinstalarla y todo vuelve a funcionar
Simply incredible for an improved Text Browser ! If you add a E-Ink diplay,..............
working, horyshet im glad i found this extension just, it kinda confusing at start with the hosting and configuring but overall it was worth it using this website, saving a lot of data and speed up opening website
no longer work... f
If you are having trouble deploying your own server for BHP, feel free to use mine Europe: https://eu1.halpie.xyz US: https://us1.halpie.xyz https://us2.halpie.xyz https://us3.halpie.xyz I can deploy more servers if the usage is high.
The video instruction is different from the heroku website. I'm tech illiterate cant figure out the steps without instruction.
Works exactly as it should, what a great extension!
I loved this extension a lot. I modified the code a little and hosted on my google firebase account, this performs really well with high speeds and no processing or upload limits. i would have loved if it could provide caching for the recently loaded images in the browser. It could cache the images in browser which would improve speed a lot.
Just wow! I have a 800MB per day limit with my internet and this just solved my problem. I get to have more use of my daily data limit than before. Kudos to you all!!!
not working for me. whenever i click the deploy and try to create app it always say "Invalid template repository: The source could not be retrieved."
Meaningful! Dear Developer, whats your future plan for this? [email protected]
very good thanks
Works great. I had to install node at hero but works great
Great, however if it stops working (which it does for me) the easiest fix is to reinstall
You are our Robinhood!
I was able to run a herokuapp for my own image proxy. This service is pretty awesome and I think herokuapp for letting me set this up for free. Amazing there is something like this... My browsing is so much faster now!
This... this functionality surpasses even Google. *claps*
Amazing!
I had no problem setting up my own compression server on Heroku (since the extension's built-in server had shut down). It only took about five minutes. But once I got that running it worked like a charm. The only limitation with Heroku is that the free plan (which I used) has limited resources, and that it has to sleep 8 hours a day or whenever the server has been inactive for sometime.
no longer work... f
it does not work anymore :(
Loved it while it lasted...no longer works without you setting up your own data compression service. Google, this is what your Data Saver should be!!!
very very good , i like it
very useful.. I have a limited data allocation and this extension saves my day, the great thing is unlike data saver, this extension supports https request in which it saves more bandwith.. TNX
very usefull if you have limited data plan
Great thing i ever come across
It works. But in some websites, it loads just one picture and fill all. LOL =))
Works fast, useful if you have slow limited internet and you still want to see all content.
