the link just doesn't get generated even when i am playing the movie!!!! spent 30 mins doing the same!! even enabled extensions from url . just won't generate a link even when the video is playing

Useless extension, at first it was redirecting me to this page. then after reinstalling got stuck at "Generating Party URL". Will check back in one week if the developers respond for fixes and review update.

The extension does not work for Hotstar India. The extension gets stuck at - 'generating a party link' and does nothing in the end.
It started out as perfectly functional but the extension seems to have a fatal bug. Each time i wish to start a party, the overlay on the extension refuses to open up unless i reinstall the extension kindly look into the same and fix it.
this app works only once after installation, it doesnt generate a link the second time. to make a party again i have to uninstall the extension and reinstall it

Used to work well, but it's absolutely horrible now. 1. Have to uninstall and reinstall the extension everytime that I want to get it to work. 2. Almost always has sync issues, everyone is always ahead or behind each other. 3. Have to reload periodically to ensure that everything is in sync. 4. There is no developer contact information. The url just redirectes to the chrome webstore.

For those stuck on generating URL , Right click HP extension -> Manage Extensions -> Turn on "Allow access to file URLs" Chat box will appear as a small button on the bottom of the hotstar video page once a friend has connected using the generated url.
Absolutely unusable app. horrible and exasperating. this extension is so bugged, not expected from a multi billion dollar company to make such a bad extension.' doesnt sync audio, randomly plays overlapping audio from unrelated video, randomly pauses without command DO NOT USE!
It's Not working at all if I click it nothing's in the screen.

Hi. Don't hate it, it's just that I expected this extension to be a lot more like Netflix Party but it isn't. The only thing I am able to do in HP is CHAT with the others- it doesn't sync the watching experience. It doesn't pause, rewind, forward for the other person when I do and vice versa. Not sure if this is how HP was built or if I'm facing some sort of issue?

After I share the party link to my frnds they are able to join but the chat box is not coming up for them!!! fix it!!
Tried to create a hotstar party. If I was creating the party the other person was not getting chat option neither the videos were syncing. If she was creating it I was facing the problem. Needs a lot of improvement.
The extension does not sync anymore. (If I play something on my end, the other user stays paused). Rendered pointless! Please fix it asap

The only thing working in hotstar party is my ability to feel anger. I tried to watch IPL Hotstar with my grand ma who is plugged in from the other realm and this app doesn't work. So then I tried to watch Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai with a special someone and it is not working! This societal conspiracy to keep two people apart is disgusting and against everything that INDIA stands for. This is anti national and should seriously consider going back to Pakistan once the lockdown ends. With Love,

Doesn't work at all. Just redirects to 00:00:23 no matter what I do or other members in the party do. I will honestly suggest to not use this extension as it just doesn't work.
WHAT?! It doesn't even work! Guys don't waste your time on this. It doesn't even open. When you open the extension, it comes back to this page, every single time. Ugh. Can't believe I wasted so much time. Extension Developers please see this. Please look for these problems and also tell me once the problem is gone.

Been waiting for such an extension for Hotstar for quite sometime. I'm super excited to binge watch series on hotstar with my friends <3 The extension is so simpel to use and love the UI. Great going folks!
Hotstar Party is really cool and awesome for watching movies and shows with your friends online (especially during this lockdown).
