Works, but at least for some sites it gets stuck in a loop wherein it pops up the "Save File" dialog box, and after I click the button accepting the file save destination, the file is saved there, but the "Save File" dialog box pops up again, and again, and again. I've gone through the options several times, but it doesn't appear to be a viable option for the HTTPS content I need to use it for.

Did not work for me. Was attempting to export a page generated using MKDocs and all it gave me was the message "This page cannot be saved with SingleFile" with no other feedback as to what went wrong.

Very good program that works fast and does exactly as described. Only suggestion would be a customizable hotkey to save a page, or the ability to automatically save a page once it's opened for cases where you're saving multiple pages one after another.

One of the best, if not the best extension for saving html pages. Plenty of options, easy to use and works on more sites than others. Keep up the good work! Fantastic tool!

It worked a year ago but now doesn't for my simple local page with css and couple images.

Does exactly what it claims! Very handy and useful to share your web content (like notebooks output) with your colleagues. No need for pdf conversion!

FREAKING AMAZING!!!! I had a problem with a website. I had to export a webpage because for no apparent reason I couldn't edit the page. (probably a bug on the WordPress builder) I had to export the page so we can further investigate. Tried over 10 different extensions. This thing is an absolute BEAST!!!! Been using chrome/chrome extensions for over a decade, I think it's almost 15 years. I have like 10 reviews. This thing definitely needs a donation. Thank you dev for this amazing tool.

It is a good extenstion but you loose page reactivity.

An excellent, contained archive solution. I only ask for the ability to crawl a site.

Unfortunately doesn't work with webGL pages. It shows a static (frozen) page.

it works great also does inpage refrences too like <a href=# instead of just linking them only thing that it seems to link are pictures which originally were links to pictures it still shows thumbnails but when clicking it takes you to real site for me who wants to time capsule save sites, this makes my job easier but still a little short of perfect

It saves pages exactly how it appears. Better than the other extensions.

Works great, I've used it on several pretty convoluted websites and the only problem I've seen is one that inexplicably switches to dark theme. 5 stars +. It is especially good paired with ublock origin, which lets me suppress unwanted elements on the page before saving

ALL my years of utilizing google chrome extensions, this was absolutely so well covered with all the functions for someone who would have a need to use this utility.. AND.. i was so pleased, this is my very first review on an extensions.. good stuff!!

Brilliant extension, brilliant. I see myself using this a lot in the future. I have a suggestion for an improvement: The 'Sticky Notes' feature is lacking word-wrapping. That is, the text goes to the right easily and I have to scroll to see it. If the Dev could fix this, that would be really cool! Thank you Also, what are the plans for the future of this extension?

Works well for the most part, but I've been trying to download Roll20 campaign logs and the image grouping doesn't seem to be working properly - what is an 8MB download when saving as a webpage the default way in Chrome, turns into a 175MB html file when SingleFile saves it. I ran the numbers and it does look like it's saving all the duplicate images individually.

It worked. Now it doesn't. EDIT,,,, Now it does again. I was trying to save local files -> you need to allow the extension read access to local files before this works.

Really great app. very useful. One strange problem - when i save "mobile view" (using the extension 'temporary mobile view') file size is 50MB while same page in normal desktop view saves as 1-2MB

This is an ESSENTIAL extension, I use it very often, especially after those mozilla updates broke the Scrapbook/Scrapbox X addons. The annotation features are a godsend. Great work! On a sidenote - does anybody who uses this extension has found a way to organize the save pages on the systems (besides in folders). Something like the Scrapbook sidebar would be awesome, tagging, full text search, folders... I am constantly googling fo something like that, but end up with nothing useful. If the developer is "listening": what would be your advice regarding the organization of the downloaded files?

This is very very best extension to download web pages as html format for offline view. Hello developer ! i have a suggestion. in the extension, there should be a dialog box for add bulk url links to download all them in batch. this extension should be work like internet download manager feature like as download batch urls or files. because i use this extension for my gmail emails download for offline. i open 20 emails so it slow down browser and computer. all emails can not be download with idm because it need username and password. some time idm can not work. but this extension can work for logged in pages to download for offline purpose. so please add a box or text base url list upload option to download all url links in batch download process. thanks....

Mostly works but always saves a page before annotating, even if the "annotate the page before saving" option is clicked. Also needs a "Save as" option, so I can save someplace other than Downloads, and using only the predetermined name. My use case is integration with the Zotero reference manager, which saves web pages as html in its own folder structure but has no way to annotate them. I'd like to use SingleFile to do the annotation.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! for this extension :D for the uses I've used so far, this worked perfectly! I tried using Google Chrome's native features to save a Google Forms page as an MHTML file, but for some reason my download gets immediately canceled. However, it worked flawlessly with this extension, with results just as it would have been if my MHTML download worked! Best of all it doesn't reload the page while saving it so my answers on the Google Forms page is still there, yay!

Totally awesome extension. I am desperately trying to get it installed for Opera [according to github it is listed also for Opera] but I am unable to get a download for opera despite that I have the chrome extension installed. I have grown so accustomed to this extension that I don't function properly anymore when I save a page without it.

Nice extension however SingleFile fails to save HTML5 Canvas interactive or animated elements on a web page properly. It converts them into a static image like PNG. It would be nice if it saved the pages and converted the interactive or animated content to APNG, a video that got properly re-embedded in the saved page, animated GIF, animated WebP or any offline animated format.

Extension constantly corrupted and have to repair. Would like to use it once again when this issues is fixed.

This one is a hidden GEM; absoloutely the best for those who need funcions that this ext offers, though not 100% on every page, but still, best at what it does Page headers are a huge problem

It's kind of buggy extension. Most of the time it does not start the grabbing process and even when it does there is no clue when the grabbing phase will be ended.

It doesn't always save the page. And recently with most pages you have to press the save button more than once to save the page.

Excellent! Since Chrome discontinued its support for "save as single mhtml file," I have searched for a replacement but have not been able to find one. This app is better than Chrome's discontinued version. It is very configurable. Saves to single .html file. Allows you to set auto-name options and embed a tag to the saved page with parameters like date, page title, URL, etc.

It does not download images from websites that use the format webp. Will there be a fix for this? Otherwise it works great

It would be much much better if it can remove crufty sidebars from a web page along with ads and distractions and can save cleaned-up, readable view of the page. And please tell me, where is the option to enable / disable auto-update of this extension? I missed it.

This takes me back to Internet Explorer saving as a single meta-HTML (mhtml) file. This is so much better because it shrinks the HTML code and actually saves it as an HTML file. What a clever and useful extension!

could you make a hotkey to close the page after saving it to free up resources? I intend to use this application as an alternative to a feature long time promised [tab serialization](https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2015/09/tab-discarding).

It was good, but it can't save SVG images on the page.

Bug: The profile selection always revert to default as soon as we exit the options. The custom profiles cannot be applied. Tested on last version Please fix Else, I love it

I like it a lot. However, links internal to the page, get stored as external links to the original web page. Is there an option to make them relative?

Hi Best single page plugin I ever used! At old days I was using Firefox Archive html file in mht file but it dose not done so good on some sites! Then I switch to Google Chrome build in mht feature. It was mush better than all Firefox plugins. But still it failed on some sites format or ... ! But Now! with this SingleFile Html plug in, not Only it can save site format correctly but also It save some page scripts too and above of all it save in less file size than Chrome or Firefox plugins. I am using windows 10 and it is working great for me! Thanks a lot

I found it AMAZING. It works fantastically on any page. Only issue I see is that tab-panes does not work. I do love this !!! at first i didn't like this extension cause it was so buggy. But it has been improving and now even more advanced than the default mht option of chrome.

Save protected page correctly ))

Even if I couldn't listen to vocals and download certain attachments (like PDFs), this works really well for making backups of my WhatsApp conversations, so I can delete them and free space. Of course that's an unintended use, but the results are nice. I liked it very much. Thank you! Strange fact: Firefox Add-ons brought me here! ...no Donate button?

I love this extension, but since today it is asking me for permission to modify clipboard data, or it won't turn on. I have no idea why this extension would have to do that, so I am suspicious. I'm not turning it back on unless I find out why it needs to modify my clipboard data.

Today's update breaks most of the functionality on YouTube pages. Please fix. Used to be an excellent add-on though.

Thanks to the creator(s) for rewriting it to get around Google having outlawed the SingleFile Core extension from the Store. I had instead been using SaveAs (.mhtml) instead, which is pretty robust. My main need is to have single-file saves of a webpage so they can be arcived and indexed/searched by Windows Desktop Search AND Google Desktop Search. (Both WDS + GDS are useful, but I tend to use GDS the most.) Before using SingleFile, I used to depend on the unique FireFox Scrapbook extension, which has not yet been surpassed. I no longer use Firefox though, as, sadly, Mozilla killed the Scrapbook extension when they started to purge the newer version of Firefoxx of any useful user-created extensions/functionality for people like me.
