Why Chrome doesn't come with this as default boggles my mind. I don't like having to see the bookmark bar, and this is the perfect replacement. My only wish is to be able to change the icon to maybe a plain solid black star or something simple.

- Formerly tried "Bookmark Sidebar". Seems current extension is not prevented from popping up in "chrome://" pages. - Don't find a place to bind a shortcut.

really the best there is + middle click to open folder (all links) - + middle click set default to open background without closing menu (useful to open multiple links) + can rename / delete inilne (but one at a time) + can drag and drop position (one at a time) / cannot multiple rename/delete/drag drop. (minor)

Invaluable extension! I wish I had known about this earlier -easy, simple and rapid way to view and select bookmarks. I don't believe it was developed as a bookmark manager but rather a bookmark viewer. As a patent attorney and technical editor, I have a ton of bookmarks in multiple folders in bookmark bar and personal folders in other bookmarks. It was a hassle to use and select a bookmark before I loaded this. Great for mobile bookmarks too. AAA+++

This extension is wonderful! Exactly what I wanted. Just a simple way to view bookmarks. There are other extensions that overcomplicate this with hovering features and stuff that doesn't work all the time. I just want my bookmarks hidden and then one click to view them in a list. This app does that and it's great. I don't know why Chrome doesn't have this feature built in, but who cares because this exists. Thanks Dev!

Just installed. Seems all right so far: at least the navigation keys are working. Surprisingly, in two extensions, that I tried before they didn't work at all. However, I don't like the idea to keep folders open after you left them during the tree navigation.

very hard to move items. the window will open but close while trying to drag and drop items. edit: managed it but going super slow with my mouse.

Very light-weight and fast. It didn't break a sweat while listing my pretty large number of bookmarks. It is also customizable enough. Only, the search function seems a little bit slow, but that's probably due to the extreme amounts of bookmarks I have.

Unresponsive ui on mobile chrome, can't use at all

Excellent bookmark tool. I've been using it for years in Chrome. Now I'm using the new MS Edge Beta (based on Chromium) and am happy to find it works here as well (with a few glitches, expected as I'm running a beta for a browser for which the product was not designed!).

Tidy Bookmarks had been the very best for me for a few years but lately had been crashing once or twice a day (I have 7000+ bookmarks in subfolders up to five levels deep, which might have brought out a bug). _I'm_so_glad_ to have found "Popup my Bookmarks" because it's a faster, more colorful and more stable version of Tidy. I love it! I have to add that Tidy had allowed me to "cut" but not to "copy" bookmarks or folders (to the clipboard). Popup does allow copying and pasting folders, which to me makes it even more wonderful.

fast and minimalist - just what i was looking for.

Fast, Readable and simple. Using since 2015 and Donating $10 because Google BM ending. Can even move bookmarks between folders with drag, hover open folder, and drop. Very nice. Only wish for a BM Manager page like in G BM Manager. Maybe allow color customization. Thank you

Why don't any of the Bookmark extensions have a visual feature to "add" a new bookmark?

So stupid that it can' even move a bookmark to a bookmark folder! A piece of garbage.

I like Its UI

This is a brilliant extension, but I seem to have some trouble with it. When I open the options menu, it's all jittery and very difficult (although still possible) to select options. Any idea what the problem might be? Also, would be nice if we could change the colors a bit. The bright white background is a bit much. But for overall function, this is the best bookmark extension I've found!

I like this extension a lot. The only thing it lacks is the option do disable the fade in/fade out so it loads faster.

I used YAGE Bookmark for years, but since no one has come out with a bookmark manager equal to YAGBE, I decided to import all my Google Bookmarks to Chrome Bookmarks. I wasn't happy with the built-in interface for managing bookmarks within Chrome until I came across this plugin which works and behaves a lot like YAGBE. Thank you!

I have hundreds of bookmark folders. This is the one best app I require to search thru my bookmark folders. Chrome should have this as default feature.

This is useful. Interface is a little difficult to use though, so find myself mainly using Bookmark OS

Awesome. I would love the option of choosing a custom taskbar icon. Also, a black with white text look would be great since I use a black chrome theme. :) Please consider it. I would gladly pay for those 2 features.

Update: the new combination is now changed and as Alex said, I have to reinstall the extension to make it work. Thank you for fixing it! ============ It hijacks keyboard key combinations so when trying to bold text in gmail using ctrl+b, instead this app opens... Is there a way to view what keyboard shortcut it takes and to disable shortcut in options?

Is this extension still working because it only opens my extensions page when I click the button? I doens't show my bookmarks menu.

Great extension! Been using this for years and has been wonderful! A good hand-full of options to configure to your liking. I recommend this extension to anyone that has lots of bookmarks, and/or wants a convenient button to display them.

Almost just like Firefox which is what I wanted.

Out of the ten or so bookmark extensions I tried today, this one has the FASTEST SEARCH by a long shot (like everything search for your bookmarks). I don't like the interface, for browsing bookmarks using this extension, but the search function is solid as rock ?

It's nearly all good. But there should be an option for height. On a small laptop (10") you cannot scroll to the last bookmark. There are 40 in my list, I can only scroll as far as #31.

I like it, it could be the a good replacement for the old Neater bookmarks. I just wish it could remember the open folders, so I could have several folders open at the same time and not just one.

I've been using this extension for a while now (and really like it!), but was hoping that the next version would allow me to reduce the font size to 10, in order to see more bookmarks. Still has size 12 as the lower limit.

Fantastic! The only issue lately is right-clicking within the menu opens a new tab - not able to add a separator like before.

Fantastic extension! Combined this with a Chrome Extension keyboard shortcut from Extension settings such as 'Ctrl-B' and you are set!

Love it. Chrome would be a pain without this extension. And none of the other Bookmark extensions come close to how good this one is. I had a problem with the Chrome 55 release and the Developer released an updated version in 1 day. Great support!

Better than simple bookmarks! I've migrated from SB.

I liked it but it is slow to load the menu when you click on the button. I would like it to be faster, like when you click on the Other bookmark folder on the Bookmarks bar.

Pretty nice. I still miss FireFox's bookmark implementation, but this is a good replacement.

Like the way it keeps your bookmark folder tree open to wherever you are searching and other little design features that make a difference for time saving bookmark searches.

I like it. I wish the creator would install a pin thingy in the upper right corner so one can look through their folders better rather than crisscrossing to it. I keep it for now.

This is the best Bookmarks Manager I found so far! Unfortunately, the maximum width of the dropdown list is set to 399 px - please increase this limit!

Plz, give us a possibility of 1-column(!!!) standard neat design, with nested folders. This one with all-the-rainbow colors is a disaster for eyes...

EXCELLENT !!!! Does everything I need it to do. I can enlarge the font. [With a Chromebook, the bookmark font is about a size 5 and almost impossible to read.] I can rearrange my bookmarks anyway I want. I can hide what I don't want to see. It's PERFECT! I love it!!

Useless. There's settings to stop closing the panel, but it closes anyways. It stays on the left, and you can't edit or move bookmarks properly within it. We NEED a proper bookmarks side panel. Not having it makes chrome useless.

It works great. Love the extended settings related on how it reacts to mouse clicks. It would be perfect if it would allow me to make the font size smaller than the minimum limit of 12px.

Perfect pop-out app! Love how customizable it is. Pairs great with Sprucemarks (which alphabetically sorts all your bookmarks for you).

My favourite bookmarks extension. Nice ways to tweak it to your liking in the options page. No memory footprint is a major plus too as others have mentioned.

Fantastic extension. The only bookmark extension with ZERO memory consumption when you are not using it. It would be nice if there were an option for a tree instead of sub-menus, but just a taste issue.

In my experience - the only cosy app for both saving and opening bookmarks! Others do not help to save (Google's default "Star" -to save bookmarks - is ugly: you have to make 3-4 clicks just to get to choosing a directory!!! And the window for it is tiny!). I have spent an hour searching for it!!!

For a long time I had this installed and didn't think much of it. It was a quick way to access my bookmarks, and displayed them in an appealing way. No big deal. Plenty of extensions do this in one way or another. Then I took a look at the options and saw something that I'm not sure how I missed before. I saw something that changed this from the mundane, to the exceptional. We've all been there: Right click on this, open popup on that, and when we click that link...it closes. Oops, I guess you'll have to open this each and every time, sorry! However, this extension offers the option to open bookmarks...in a new tab...in the background...WITHOUT CLOSING THE POPUP. I can't explain how such a little feature is such a game changer. Why this option isn't on by default baffles me. I can view my bookmarks, open them quickly, efficiently, and without having to go back every, single, time, to open another one. I. Love. This. Extension.
