The only problem I've had with my AVG products/programs is the VPN. I would like to have VPN protection but it slows down my browser by about 67%. No body in their right mind would accept that kind of performance so I just leave it turned off. I would be willing to drop maybe 5-8% of my speed for the protection. I just suggest if you install it on your machine do frequent speed checks with the VPN off and then on.

Extension keeps blocking good websites, and doesn't give an option to add an exception to them. I have to go through the main app and go through multiple menus to add an exception to unlock them.

Just simply easy to use and navigate but they do try to upsell a lot.

Not just for the extension but the Internet Security, VPN, AntiTrack, and TuneUp. Tried others whose XD experience left me with either too much wow and not enough information how to use or why I should know that , or those that underwhelmed me and gave me little info and still asked me to trust them. I've used the FREE version for years, back when it was just Avast, and even then I felt more safe and secure than with any other antivirus software. The PAID version is so worth it. I get it across 10 devices (not my iPhone though, work on that guys) and know that myself and my family are safe. To be fair about the iPhone, Apple has it's own built-in security and MDS doesn't run properly on their devices; however I do use the VPN on my phone and the other side items. And on my Android phone, it works beautifully and I never have issues like I had before, because of it being open source and all. Funny story, when I finally decided to purchase the antivirus after years of using the free version, I went with a different brand, because at the time were top of the line for whatever reason, but shortly after ended that brand ended up on the FCC list of national security threats. AVG has an impeccable reputation. And as an I.T. professional, I won't be using anything else. Unless...

Helpful extension but needs to be updated more frequently and special improvements needs to be made in terms of blocking more new types & kinds of malicious & phising websites & links & bad domains & web based exploits & drive by downloads

Been using AVG for years, i don't think ill be changing AV anytime soon.

I will only use AVG the best one out there. I have try other but noting compares.

Out of all the ones i have tried, this is one of the best one i have come across so far.

It's good but for some reason every time I click on the extension in the top right corner, after I have searched something up and I'm looking at the results page, it turns the whole screen white and I have to refresh the page to get it back, must be a glitch or something

My whole family and I use it and are very happy with it. Does everything its supposed to, protects against hackers, viruses and malware. Warns against suspicious and possibly dangerous or harmful installations/downloads and other treats.Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

i have ad this installed on my desktop and it worked for a week then it failed to keep doing what its supposed to do.

5 star rating because it protects me from any harmful links and websites by blocking the access of the harmful website or link; it also tells me whether the links that I have searched for on google or on other search engines, are safe or not; and also it blocks adds anywhere including YouTube for the preservation of my time.

Very Nice!

Was finally convinced to have it turned on for some months and it worked fine, but it is now blocking innocent videos and images on respectable websites (e.g. Techradar, TomsHardware etc). In fact their full antivirus package which I have installed (which includes AVG anti-track as part of AVG Internet security) allows those images and videos, it's just the extension seems to be heavy handed. Also have adblock plus installed extension and it is fine with all the things as well.... So I think AVG need to have a bit of a rethink, I don't want to be fiddling with their browser extensions just from skim reading innocent well known websites. I also don't want 4 members of my family bothering me about how their internet is not working properly all the time :) when it is AVG browser extension.

These include Internet Security, BreachGuard, AntiTrack, TuneUp, and Driver Updater for my PC and Internet Security and Cleaner for my Android, all paid for in advance, A very good investment. I also use the Online Security extension for Chrome. My whole experience leaves me feeling safely in the hands of a very professional and respected company. I would not hesitate to recommend AVG to anyone, and frequently do in various forums I belong to.

I have used many aspects of AVG for many years, be it on my phone, laptop, desktop etc; and NEVER been let down. I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to one and all....

This company AVG is shady, it gives bad reviews of other search engines but gives great reviews of it's own search engine (search.avg.com) through it's search extension, which it forced on me during the install. It is very anti competitive. Avast (search.avast.com), and Zone Alarm (search.zonealarm.com) did the same thing. They give other search engines false bad reviews through their products to help get users to use their shady products. If a business does shady business like that can you really trust them to protect you? Not at all. Shame on Google for not removing them from the Google store.

Blocks all the trackers worldwide

They just simply copied and pasted Avast's extensions. Before I knew this, I loved this extension because of the many features it had. Then I realised this was just a copy of Avast's great extensions and also its own browser. You can see the proof by checking the amount of people using Avast's extension; the difference between the the number of people that use it and AVG's one is substantial.

I been using AVG for sometime now and it is a great service. It really delivers on its service. HOWEVER, the really big catch to using AVG is you have to pay for each and every type of product. They don't really have a multi-product package that includes all their services under one payment price at a fair rate. If you want a VPN program you pay $$, if you want the antivirus service you pay $$, anti-track you pay $$. All their services are paid separately. Regardless, of that. The product quality is outstanding. So I give it 3 star rating because the pricing COULD be better.

A very nice extension. The only reason for getting 4 star from me is that it can't give safety ensure for a site which is not used by many of their users. Its Okay but it is not for the same comment even after a month. Hope it gets improved.

it's good, but it doesn't work on your browser... why is that?

It's a good program just would prefer an all inclusive program so that I do not get the pop ups that I need this add on for an additional $3.33 or whatever price. Just really need a full coverage program.

This really helps me see which websites are not safe! I didn't seem to have a problem at all.

I had a paid version of AdGuard, blocks the ads - I installed AVG, which came with a secure browser, which turned the ADS back on again (bypassed the AdGuard, how rude)! So I uninstalled the secure browser. One of them, AVG or the Avast feedback URL was incorrectly typed when I pressed the button for it LOL - if you don't get that right, they cannot submit feedback, good or bad!

I love it so much . It is so helpful . It need more than 5 stars. It is 100% better than McAfee .

I love how it would show you that a web page is not safe and takes you out immediately. And also when you download something and it suspects it might be infected with a virus it would delete it. I'm absolutely loving it.

Only gave it 4 stars because it would be perfect if it gave users a free version of VPN. I have used the Ultimate version for years and really trust this product. I decided to get the pay version because I could get so much more value and safety.
