I use this extention all the time and simply love it. Great to manage side chats and stuff!

I use the fantastic extension every day! It would be great to have an option to open certain urls (url regex patterns) in popup windows since I usually use this for meeting invites and need to click the open tab as popup button every time.

Simple, does what exactly what it says and it does it well. Pair it with some "always-on-top" desktop environment tooling, and you have a great picture-in-picture solution for watching videos/movies/etc while doing other stuff.

Does exactly what it says it does. It opens the window you're viewing in a popup window. This effectively removes the tabs and the navigation bar, making my Jupyter Notebook appear much cleaner. Thanks Dev! Note: In my case, after installing this extension, the toolbar button which launches the extension didn't show in the toolbar. If that happens to you, click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar to open settings and click on the thumb tack icon next to the name of the extension.

i wanted to remove the title bar on top or reduce its size, so this was not for me

I was searching for it for years!))) Finally, I have + 10% of my vertical space back! Damn needed if you on a laptop.

Extremely useful. Really simple and it just works. This can be done with simple chrome command too. However, I would love a option for the top bar with title name/exit button to be something that only shows in the window when mouse is hovering/moving in window, this way it would create 100% borderless windows. Perfect for playing media. It should be possible to code. 4,9/5 stars, cant wait to use this more.

It's a good addon. I can't see how to simply close the pop-up box. There doesn't seem to be an X in the corner that I can click on. Is converting the pop-up to a standard web page and then closing the page my only option?

Wonderful! Simple! My newest friend! Keeps me from adding tabs to Gmail and Calendar, windows I want represented by it's separate taskbar icon among my many open windows. Glad you offered PayPal for my $10 of appreciation!

Love it. I mainly use to put pop-ups back into the main window. Has never not worked.

Cool extension, but I ultimately use the "--app" command in the shortcuts for the sites I want to open this way, so not much use nowadays.

For a long time I've been using Vivaldi to do this same thing because it's much more flexible and Chrome's tabs and address bar are so big and clunky with extra unused space on top of that for some reason. Now having this extension in Chrome has just cut out some extra steps for me and it's great! Thank you!

Only thing missing is Always stay on top feature. Thankfully I have this with AHK.

This is awesome stuff. For the most part I use Vivaldi which has a setting to hide the UI. But there are couple of things that its better when I do it in chrome, so this extension lets me have true full screen mode, as it hides the tab bar and address bar, those things eat up a considerable portion of the screen's real state. Simple and beautiful extension.

one of the most useful extensions in my toolset. great for opening different gmail accounts as separate popup windows. extremely helpful that they are standalone windows (meaning you can not open another tab in the separate chrome window it opens up i guess they call it app-mode)

It was ok but the following day I started getting a fake "Virus Warning" pop up in the bottom right corner saying there were 3 viruses and I needed to download another program to fix it.... I have Windows Defender and Malwarebytes always running on my computer and Neither found any virus! I won't keep this extension and DEFINITELY will not recommend it! Remove that Threatening BS pop up, and I may reconsider

Does what it's supposed to. (Thanks.) Now I can put a small streaming video frame in a screen corner. WHAT'S MISSING: An option to set the new window to topmost. Currently I'm using the famous AutoHotkey to do that, but topmost is an aspect so closely tied to this extension's functionality, I think it's justified to implement it, it's not a "Yeah, but that's another extension's task." kinda thing.

Exactly what I need. It could be better if it supports using the website's favicon as the icon of the pinned tile of start menu.

Please put a control in the settings where you can specify pages to automatically have their links open as new windows.

Excelente extension. Simple, yet very useful. However, there's one more thing I wish it could do: show the site favicon in the windows taskbar instead of the extension icon. This feature is very useful with sites that have dynamic favicons such as Gmail, WhatsApp web, etc., that show the unread messages in the favicon.

Superb extension, many thanks for the time you put into developing this. Is it possible to remember the size/position of the popup window between restarts so when I open a popup window it's in the same size/position as the last?

It fills the gap on chromebooks where "open as a window" is not an option, and is great for those who want to use their chromebooks in a more "traditional" laptop mode. It is also great for those using Chrome on Windows or macOS and want similar window behavior. (apparently the latest version of Chrome has removed the "open as a in window" option)

Great extension, only thing is if there was a way to keep window in identical spot after popup, i use dual monitors and when i click open as popup, the window flies to somewhere else on either monitor, i wish it would pop out and then go back to same spot Edit: The developer just fixed this, fantastic extension

Dude ! Just what I was looking for ! I used my monitor's split screen software to set a PIP small window on which I open Netflix as I work but the top bars would ruin the experience and there is no option on Chrome's user settings or the experimental features to enable it. You rock ! Kudozzzz !

Very awesome when using ALT+TAB to navigate between windows. Along with that, it's also very easy to click on it from the task bar since it shows it as something separate. Suggestions: Make the task bar icons actually the icons of the webpage they're from and make it so when you have multiple pop up windows, the task bar will show them separately, instead of under one "Open-as-Popup" icon.

It does exactly what it says it will do. No fuss, uses chrome's built in popup interface.

This is also extremely useful for finally having the REAL ICON in the taskbar, not the generic Chrome Icon! 5000 Stars!

It's a lovely feeling when you find an app that does whatever you were looking for. I like hitting f11 on tabs to read it with less distraction, but I want to read it half screen to make the columns shorter, or to have two windows open. Finally I can.

This little widget is absolutely perfect. I use it on Facebook Messenger and Google Voice; web apps that should have a desktop wrapper but don't (I'm glaring at you, Google and Facebook).

This extension is exactly what I was looking for...almost. The one thing it could do better is make it so that a pop-upped tab isn't marked in my task bar as a new program. I would like it if the new pop-upped tab was still under the main Chrome button along with all the other open Chrome windows.

I used to do this sort of thing via Panelize, since it didn't open windows as panels, but as popups for me. Always wished there was much simpler version with just one press of a button (extension-bubbles are slow sometimes). Glad i've found this extension. You can get configurable shortcut via "keyboard shortcuts" link at the bottom of about:extensions page

When the new tab starts, just click the icon in the upper right corner and it turns the tab into a smaller pop up window. That's what I wanted. I work for a call center and need the script in telephony to popup in a new window. This does that in one click.
