Using this extension in MS Edge. Works flawlessly. Most importantly, it produces a URL which is live and clickable (unlike some other methods which produce a non-clickable link). Thank you
Hi jkl Thanks so much for your generosity. I am loving this. It would be nice if I could specify the default recipient (I hacked the code to default to my email as that is what I am sending to 90% of the time) and optionally include page attributes or a text extract. If I had one request it would be that the send button in gmail close the popup window like the discard draft button does, but perhaps that is more up to google than you. I am using the review for feedback as the captcha hidemail on the support tab no longer works. Thanks again Dale
It does not work. 1. It does not mail the URL that you are reading, only links in the text. 2. It does not open my favorite email client (Thunderbird.) I had to put it on gmail 3. It does not fill the title of the email. All in all: useless.
Useless - does absolutely nothing - uninstalled
Used this for a long time but since moved to new job and email/browser setup (Outlook), no longer works - even though I have chosen 'default email client' in options.
It does what it claims to do. tested with local email client. Launches the client with the URL link and a subjected line. Nothing more to expect here.
after chrome update to 73.0.3683.75, opens only gmail. Use Default mail client is NOT working.
I already have a gmail tab open; I wish this would find and use that tab instead of reopening and loading a new gmail tab on the same window. Like sharing a link via gmail in Android which opens a new email message in my gmail app and loads the subject from the content. Other than that minor nit, it seems better than the other similar Chrome extensions.
It doesn't support highlighting text on the page and including that text in the body of the email. When I clicked on support to suggest this feature, it uses an old version of Captcha that no longer works so you can't email the developer. sigh
i have used this great ext. for some time however over the past month, maybe 2, it fails to pull up my default email. had worked perfectly and i cant be sure but think it is related to the windows 10 mail/calendar app . i have windows 10 and have been using the mail app for a year or more and never had any issues with the interactions between this ext and win10 mail. now , all i show in the options is default mail and gmail on the top and the bottom in options has open in new tab for both alternatives. i believe one of the two should be new window but that is not what is shown in the options. i am using chrome by the way but same issue with other browser, in windows 10 x64 environment that is.
not working at all - wasted so much time: instead of sharing, it brings to this page
This is the best option if you have MSSO. Its simple and without hitches and fish hooks
This does exactly what I want it to do, use your own email to forward links/..
It doesn't work. It starts to, then the new page it opened disappears.
I've used this a year or two on a number of PCs/laptops and find it just works like I want it to. No fussing with designating a mail profile, or sometimes inconsistent working like other similar extensions I tried. Click and boom. New email with the embedded link and subject with the page title. Sometimes the simplest things are the best! Win 10, Outlook 2013, Chrome 56.
It is now 2017 and the 'Mail this link' extension has been working for me, for a few months now. HOWEVER, there are cosmetic issues. I've reported the cosmetic issues to the developer but have not heard anything back. 'Mail this link' opens a new email and pastes in a link to the current web page. The link pastes using your specified font, BUT the font size is forced to be 12. After the link the font ALWAYS is forced to be Times New Roman 12 point. So it works to open an email and past in the link fine, BUT then you have to manually correct the font and font size. I'm using 'Mail this link' with Chrome and Outlook 365 running on Windows 10. And this review was prepared on 2017-02-17.
Good: Actually works, unlike other, similar products. Bad: Opens a new, blank tab. Why? Admittedly a minor concern.
Does not work. Rubbish.
No longer works. Options empty.
Youtube videos start over when hitting this extension's button. Options page is empty. No updates since 2012.
Have to agree with others, IT IS A BLANK PAGE & DOES NOW WORK! Anyone know of a good app that does work with Chrome & Windows 7? I used to have one that was excellent prior to Chrome. Chrome seems to have less fails than IE.
Just opens a new browser tab. Options page is blank. Running Thunderbird on Xubuntu.
It would save ppl the hassle of adding/tossing this extension if there were a simple clause next to the title stating THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT WORK. Update it, or pull it. Plz.
Used this for years and loved it. Got a new computer and it doesn't work anymore. Is it not compatible with Windows 8 or Chrome anymore? Please fix it!!
Love it as Decent
