installed last night and it wasn't immediately working. when I uninstalled, the creator has a message about how it may, from time to time, not work because of changed FB makes. Understandable, reinstalled and it still wasn't working but I just let be. Today, working perfectly and I appreciate the badges letting me know that elements were blocked. Thank you thank you for making this extension. In a world saturated with ads, its nice to be able to turn them the f--k off!

Completely do not work. Vivaldi on Linux, Facebook and system language: english (en_GB).
Version 4.1.6, Brave browser, US/EN Installed, refreshed page, no difference unfortunately.
It used to work, then it worked sometimes, but now it doesn't work at all.

This was working for a bit but suddenly stopped 2-3 days ago, I think FB changed something on their end. Still, it was great when it did work.

Sponsored ads just started to pop on my FB page again as of today. However, this extension is 100% worth it. I understand that FB constantly updates their site to ensure that their ads show up, so extensions such as this require frequent updates in order to work properly. The folks that created this extension are good at staying on top of things, so I trust that FB will be ad-free again soon.
Unfortunately this extension is currently ineffective - sponsored ads still show. (Both Chrome and ext are latest versions.) Edit: Rating updated as the ext was fixed.
As of this morning, FB sponsored posts still on my wall. I know it's hard with the constantly moving target. Just wanted to give an update.
Edit: didn't get a notification of your reply... And it did start working again so thank you...! Came this time to say it has stopped working once more, 9.27.22, last few days it seems, FB keeps changing things... But this time am going to leave it five stars.... And much appreciation that you are looking here and keeping it updated... ?? --- F.Block Sponsored just stopped working today, sponsored appearing again every 3-4 posts... Works as expected, simple and effective. Sometimes it stops working because Facebook likes to change things, but soon enough it gets updated and does its magic again. Amazing extension, thank you for your work!

Today this extension started to fail and cut off the top half of posts not showing the persons name that is sharing a post and etc.

Works in Home page, but search page broken.
So far it's okay. It only seems to block some of the sponsored content from our wall, but not the sponsored links off to the side. I can't even seem to program Ad Blocker, uBlock and more to recognize the script runs those annoying ads. Each time I get it to block a sponsored ad, on page reload a new ad pops up. I tried doing it by size, then location on the page but the coding changes each time. I was hoping this extension would do those as well. As for the sponsored ads and stories in our wall feeds. Some get through which is why I only gave it a four out of five. Mark Z doesn't care about us, he allows malicious ads, malware, trojans and even spyware space on Facebook so long as they paid to advertise, pretty much anything is allowed. The other month my partner clicked on something he thought was part of his normal feed. Immediately his screen turned flashing yellow with a voice playing through the speakers claiming his system has been locked and not to turn off the computer or restart. To unlock it he had to call a 1-877 number and read off the code on the screen. It was a weak attack because simply rebooting removed it and running BitDefender removed the rootkit. Which is odd that our Paid version of BitDefender didn't catch it. I suspect its a Facebook rights allowance deal. Anyways, we cleaned it out, then I went online to purchase an active malware shield for his system. Found one for dirt cheap, only $14/yr, so I bought the max package which was only $$30 for three years. I myself on my machine am running Zemana... a much stronger and much more expensive anti-malware software. The point of my ranting is Zuckerburg doesn't care about us, our privacy or any thing we think is ours. So long as it is on his platform he claims rights to it. So selling ad space to malware, spyware and trojan is not out of place for him.

After install and refresh the first two posts were sponsored. This is either not working or has been bypassed.

I just installed this extension and it's not working. I've been bombarded with 100's ads on my home page news feed since the Oct 5, 2021 outage. I have my Ad Preferences set to the highest level on FB, yet, no matter what I do, I keep getting ads. I've blocked ad pages, reported them, and even hidden them and still get some repeating. I thought this extension would block all these ads; however, every other post on my home page is an ad and I'm still having to manually block and hide them.
Worked fine until a days ago. 2021-10-24. Sponsored ads showing again.
Had some issues, but updated Edge browser and now fine.
Does Not block mid-video facebook ads, even if it blocks sponsored ads, that's not enough. uninstalled.
Doesn't block sponsored listings in marketplace. Didn't bother checking anything else.

3 stars. It works for the most part, some ads do manage to get through. But the biggest set back is the new request for full browser history permission. This was never a thing before... why is it suddenly needed now? Uninstalled until the developer can provide a good reason why they need access to my entire browser history for this facebook plugin to work.
IT worked great for a while. Was recently auto-disabled because an update requires new permissions... To view my browsing history??? Why???
Why does the extension now require access to my browsing history? Chrome has disabled it automatically.
I installed it not only for sponsored (other extensions do it also) but for suggested sites and it works fine. Thanx man very good job, an interface with some options to see what exactly it blocks would perfect!

Didn't block all sponsored. Blocked the one in the sidebar, but then occasionally in my feed, Sponsored posts still occurred.
As of today it's working in Chrome 88.0.4324.190. Fantasitc, I was trying to work out how to do this myself using pihole or eomthing, I hope facebook does not find a way around it but i fear they will.

I just added this extension and it has already gotten rid of those annoying Sponsored ads on Facebook. Great job to the creator of this adblock. :) I love the extension already. Correction: it ALMOST got rid of all the Sponsored ads on the top right corner of Facebook. The website just popped up one of their annoying Sponsored ads, but I was able to report it since it was a repetitive ad anyway. Haha.

I only just started using it, but so far it seems to block those annoying sponsored posts perfectly. For reference I'm using Facebook's newer design so I can confirm it works in that too. Now if only I could somehow kill the sponsored posts on my iphone's Facebook App.
