The free version is fully functional and probably ok for majority of users. However, you can get text notification if your upgrade: totally worth it.

Free version is quite useful. My only problem was that free version did not have link tracking - so I emailed them for a discount code and I got one. Excellent customer service.

I have used mail track by hunter.io then I found our they are actually selling your email addresses. This service does care about privacy! So much better.

The free version is fully functional: but it is worth upgrading to get full Google Sheets integration. Very useful.

This service is so much better than other ones: it has mobile text notification, full integration with Google Sheets, and multiple recipients tracking. 10 stars :-)

I love using this chrome a lot works according to what it was meant for in the description

It provides me the chance to have a list of all unopened emails where people need to respond back to me.

The email tracker software is extremely easy to use

WARNING: this tracker does not work on scheduled emails. I downloaded their cloud HQ email scheduler because they advertised their capability to also track emails. It does not work. This tracker only worked on regular emails but not scheduled emails. I have already contacted their customer support to try and fix this issue but have yet to receive any helpful answers. The first answer I got was that they don't track scheduled emails, which is not the case according to their FAQs. https://support.cloudhq.net/email-tracker-faq-frequently-asked-questions/. The second answer I got was that email tracking wouldn't work for recipients who have email tracking blocked. Most of my recipients aren't even aware that email tracking can be blocked. Their support team also didn't even confirm or investigate whether my recipients have it blocked or not. I'll update my review if anything else happens.

I have tried many email tracking extensions. This one is one of the best.

Love it! I like the new ability to have it off by default and select what messages I want to track.

I like CloudHD extensions. I have cloudHQ Copilot, Gmail Tabs, Gmail Notes and Email Trackers installed. The only small price I have to pay for the free version is displaying the "Powered by cloudHD" watermark below my signature. I think this is very FAIR for a free version (especially when I am using 4 free cloudHQ extensions at the same time). After all the watermark is small and you can manually delete it with a single click. The only improvement I hope to see is the ability for users to choose the WiFi-like icon in the Settings. I wish the icon would turn green when the email is read.

Definitely the best mail tracking tool around. I love that have a report which shows me all "opened but unanswered" emails - just that is gold for me.

I liked this extension, until they started adding little popup windows that had auto playing videos with audio. Whenever I opened my gmail I was greeted with some sort of ad for CloudHQ products, blasting audio out of my speakers. Horrible form, really annoying.

The free version seemed to work well but as soon as I upgraded (to get features that they advertise as free), it stopped working altogether. Absolute SCAM.

So far I'm blown away by what this extension does! I've only just tested a few of the features but what I've seen is amazing. I tried three other "Free" read receipt features and the free version sucked and the pay to play was very expensive. I just needed something to track emails I send to neighbors in our HOA so I know they got them. I'm not building a sales team so I don't want to pay $10/month for this feature. I have been very impressed with the features of this extension.

I could be wrong but there is probably a reason why these apps are all free, they are tracking and collecting data, i assume this BECAUSE after getting the extension windows alerts me it will load even though chrome is not loaded and it forced the chrome icon in my windows taskbar stating despite me disabling it before Next i get an email saying: Welcome! Do you need help with our Free Email Tracker? I did not give them access to my email nor did i give them permission to email me

I loved this until the latest update. With the new sorting it auto does, I lose emails. I sent me an email and never saw it again. Please give away to use without the sorting folders.

I'm just discovering all the cloudHQ Chrome extensions, and this one is my favorite. I'm in customer service, and having all my emails in a Gmail label so that I can get back to people, is a lifesaver.

Cloud HQ extensions are usually great and work well for me, but I've had to remove this tracker because after using it successfully for quite a while as a stand alone extension, it later seemed to become integrated with the mail sort extension. The mail sort function has never worked for me and slows down my inbox significantly. I queried this through Cloud HQ Support but did not ever receive a response so now use an alternative tracker.

Simply the best tracker out there. Many options for how you want to be notified...SMS, desktop, email.... And best of all, it's highly consistent AND FREE. Kudos DEVS*

I have tried many free extensions, but no doubt that this one is the best. It does the job perfectly without the limitations of the other free extensions of this type. I have not found anything better.

WAY too many permissions required for this email tracking service. They couch it as a requirement to work, but other email tracking extensions do not require such deep permissions such as read, write and delete all emails in my account. It also makes you sign up for an account.

I like it but I don't see links being tracked like it claims in the description.

It tends to disconnect from my email account frequently. I've reinstalled it but now the mail tracker isn't even showing up. So disappointed because when it does work it's great. (using Opera)

i want to know how safe it is .... i am worried about security of my data in laptop and in emails

The best part for me is that when writing an email, I can tell cloudHQ to send me a reminder if I don't get a reply after a certain amount of days

I appreciate having a reliable tool. I can know if they opened it (as long as they don't block trackers), and how many times they opened.

Reached out to support this morning. When I use the cloudhq email tracker,  my emails are not reaching their intended recipients because the receiver's incoming spam catcher is flagging them as spam.  I get a bounce-back error message. When I do not use cloudhq and use my Gmelius tracker, they make it through the spam catcher on the recipient's end. Am awaiting a response from support and will update my review accordingly.

When I sent an email internally it automatically sends me a copy of the email as unread, and I'd have to go and remove the label as well mark it as read each time, rather annoying, any idea how to fix this please. Tks.

Does anyone know how to make the tracking feature automatic so we don't have to manually click it each time?

Aug 9, 2019 - Pretty pathetic. Did not work. Enabled and sent a routine email and CC'd myself and another party. All 3 parties have Gmail addresses. I opened my CC quickly and the other CC'd party but it showed that it was NOT opened. Got the 2 days and still NOT opened reminder for myself and other party - though they were opened right after receiving them. Wondering if all these reviews are fake.

The real time notifications are a big deal to me. This tracker has everything

I use the dashboard to look at the emails i’ve tracked and love the SMS notifications when someone’s read my email. The attachment tracker is my favorite though. I KNOW people didn’t just open my email and glance, they downloaded the powerpoint, word doc, pdf, etc too.

I can't enable my phone number. It shows Error Code - 21408. And this says that "Permission to send an SMS has not been enabled for the region indicated by the 'To' number..

I'd tried BananaTag's, Mixmax's & Gmelius' versions of this and none of them were really up to par with this. The SMS notifications for read emails and notifications when people don't reply REALLY ice the cake for me.

I mean...not that anyone ignores MY emails but now I know when they do ;-) Handy for sure!

Doesn't work at all. Not even for emails sent from Gmail to Gmail. I liked Engagebay way better!!

This works very well. hope can developed to Gmail add-on. then It will can use for Chrome and gmail on Android. the other problem is if the email opened by gmail, it cannot show the location. thanks for your work

The notifications when the email is read are the best part, to me.

This app wants permission to do anything that you can do in your Gmail, including: Read your emails Compose new emails Add new emails meant for a different email address into your inbox Send emails for you Delete your email Create, change or delete your email labels Get notified when certain kinds of emails appear in your Gmail inbox, like a travel confirmation Basically it's like handing over your Gmail password. I don't see how the privileges to compose new emails or delete emails are justified.

works like a charm - the individual tracking in a multiple recipients email is what makes it break away from the pack - only thing I would wish for is the tracked emails search option - my tracked emails keep hugely pilling up and it comes really hard to find anything I look for in there :-(

Best email tracker i"ve found: won't alert if you open a tracked email you sent, can give real time notifications, tells you who and when and if link clicked for emails sent to multiple recipients, and to clear list of emails tracked just delete account and reinstall. Works great unless recipient has email blocker installed on his end.

I hope they can keep this feature packed extension FREE? I've tried Mailtrack and Mailtag, which both offered a great free service initially. But then slowly started cut back the features and added them to pro version, I ditched them this week and found Free Email Tracker, and you guys keep all the good features in your FREE extension right out the box. Great work guys. 5 Stars from me!

Enable/Disable feature doesn't work. You can disable the plugin when redacting but cannot turn it back on.

This is sooo nice (I love knowing when people are ignoring my emails!) The text at the bottom is just something I make sure I delete...it really doesn't affect function whatsoever.

I have installed it on Chrome Version 66 PC , logged in from my account , yet I could never get the extension to work , Icon showing in the chrome task bar , yet it never appears when I compose an email

So far no problems. Works great. It is important to me to know that my emails are read and this does just that!

Sadly, I followed all the troubleshooting articles but I could not get the chrome extension to work properly. Extension installed properly, account logged in properly and I even see the mail tracking icons and email signature. However, when I open the sent email in my other account, it doesn't notify me (in sender account) that it has been read nor does the Notification history state that the email has been read. It is only until I reply to the email that I receive the desktop notification and history notification lists it as Read but not Replied.

I'm having problem using the tracker recently, it's not working, the tracker image is gone on all my sent emails. I want to use this tracker again but when I tried to install it back I saw my cloudHQ account is suspended. Why? Please unsuspend I want to use this tracker again. Emailed you too but no response.

this does it's job very well except auto logout. it's very useful. need include the reader location in the report. if it can be in GMail add on, it will be perfect, 5 star!!!.

Does exactly what is says. I've found it very useful so far. I've used a few other trackers. Some good some bad. Most are limited to a trial. This is unobtrusive and efficient.

It helps a lot when you wished to know whether your email was being read by the recipient and from his/her response on replying or not, you know his/her reactions on the information of your email.

Last month, I'd sent an important mail with google drive links and my website link attached. But because of this stupid mailtracker, all the links were disabled. So I wasn't able to submit the mail on right time. I do know that the cause is 100% this mail tracker because the original url seemed to be overwritten by cloudhq url so that they will get the data. Why should my mail sacrifice for your company getting data about me? Hate this application. I like mailtrack or polymail way better
