This is a very usefull extension, can be bypassed but this is as close as you get to a browser lock, 1 major problem is it reloads all the pages when ever i lock and reopen my browser

super insecure, can simply delete the extension from file explorer to bypass the lock entirely

This extension has a major problem, It shows the browser window before asking for password. Actually, It starts working too late. It would be much better if the user can lock the browser with an easy keyboard shortcut. Totally, It's better than nothing. Because, there are no other lock extensions for the browser.

Update on review. After reinstalling on Chrome it's working again. So, five stars and hope it continues to work. Great extension. ============ Great extension and used it for about a month. For some reason it is no longer working for me. It is turned on but no longer prompts me for password. Can you advise? I will try remove and add again and see if that sorts out the issue.

On slightly older system, launching the browser took way too long after installing the extension. It did the job locking up, but it was frustrating to wait for the browser to launch that I had to remove it from my browser. 3 star at best.

I tested it and it will automatically close the tabs of the user protected with this extension. Others can freely log-in their account on the chrome while not tampering the protected user. This is useful for shared computers.

**Read this before you use!!! i for the most part liked this app until on more then 3 occasions everytime i typed my correct password in chrome wouldn't pop up. This most recent time Im just now logging back in for the first time in days. I tried everything and nothing would work, but I did find a semi solution but it took a few tries. type your password in and click on the chrome button on taskbar right after you hit enter to submit the password. Please fix this or give an option besides donating you money. but even then it only saved the link for when chrome actually opened and it never did for a while.

I was using "Set password for your browser ( chrome lock )" from chrome web store before this, it is very classy and it's UI is the best. 3 Stars for working properly though I didn't check forgot Password option after that I'll rate it 5 stars if it works properly

Hi, I use this in Edge. And I forgot my password. I am not able to login. In forgot page - i'm not shown the enter emailid page. It just asks for code. Please help me

It works well, but I do not like that the browser opens first from behind (tested in Avast browser), it should block it completely with the main access window, then yes, once unlocked, the main screen of the browser opens. It happens that quickly one could disable the App even before it starts working and this carries a serious risk to the security of the one who trusts this App, if this were updated and fixed it would be perfect.

Great but please add the option to use Shortcut Key to lock the browser.

I don't like minimum 5 character in password. 15 March 2022 Update:- I'm back after 2 years! I have to say this is perfect now :) Try to add "Wrong password Incognito Mode" option, thanks.

easy to skip this extension when the extension window is open just right click and open browser task manger and kill browser lock extension

I love it! it locks my browser for others to not be able to use! also works with Brave! Would love to have small sized UI currently it feels like it is running a vm at 800x600px other than the appearance it is doing what I want it to do

The extension is perfect if you are someone who closes the browser every time, but I wish their was a feature where it locks the browser after I lock my computer. I personally don't close my browser(I frequently visit same websites) every time I want to lock my laptop and anyone could simply unlock my laptop and use my browser. I hope their would be a feature to fix this.

Terrible. I downloaded this extension because sometimes I have to share a computer, and don't want anyone tampering with my stuff. I downloaded it and when I opened my browser, there was NO popup asking for a password or anything like that. It just stopped. Wouldn't recommend (especially if you use a shared device). Use other extensions.

Extension locked me out of my browser with "wrong password" error (It obviously wasn't wrong because I never changed it). What's even worse was the recovery email address prompt that claimed "invalid recovery email address" when I tried password reset!

I started using Lock your browser extension. I did not enter the password and cancel the sign in the window, now I am unable to open google chrome. Also the login screen does not appear. Is this the bug? 1. How can I open google chrome? 2. What should I do to get back the login screen, if it has been closed without entering the password. PLEASE HELP

I downloaded this with lockpw and now i can't open a new window, only incognito works!!! I need help!! I can't even type the password in before it shuts down the window!
