I really like its simplicity and minimalistic design!

Simple tool to take notes or write a draft. This has proved helpful to me so far. Some constructive feedback: Love the simplicity but could use features like adding links, bullets, colors to text etc. Would really love if you start providing the simple functionalities of MS word / google docs. Also the prompt on side to rate and share is too much sometimes, maybe reduce the frequency with which it appears?

The latest Lock feature seems to have a flaw. When I try to lock a note, before I get a chance to set a password, it gets locked with a password I used previously for a different note (which I already unlocked). If that's a feature (I don't think it is), and there can be only one password for all notes, then how do I change it?

Missing bullet points / Rich text via copy paste

Would love to have standard formatting like bullets, numbers, bold (for the life of me, I don't get it why the cmd+B temporarily blurs the text instead of bolding a highlighted word. How is that useful?)

Great extension! Three proposals to make this great extension even better: 1. Enable "bold", "underline" and "italic" text options. 2. Enable automatic functionality of bullets and numbering when starting a list. 3. Enable different font sizes (e.g. small, medium, large). Beside of that, perfect implementation!

Probably the best extension I used in chrome for note taking. Using it for a couple of months with pleasure. I would like to suggest adding capability to highlight text or setting font bold/underlined.

Words can't describe how much I love this extension. It is the best rapid capture extension or even app I have ever used. Next extension update I will be giving a donation to the developer. Love it

Add quick buttons for sites that we use regularly, or allow us to pin few sites maybe on the side.

Love it alot... just wanted to ask is there option to disable the calculations? just like the emoji bar I sometime add dates like 10-5-21 and it subtracts the thing...writing 13/2/21 divides it :// acts as a friction when i'm typing stuff please do resolve it in the next update :) Love u guys

Such a simple app yet it's my favorite. I have always wanted a quick access for note taking on a browser. The only thing missing is a search function but if this feature slows down the app then forget it, im just being greedy, this app is perfect for quick small notes. Thank you devs!

So simple and easy. It's precisely what I need on my New Tab page and nothing more!

Great start! Some features I miss from other tab pages that would go along with this minimal experience: --Paste images --Markdown support, basic bold/underline/RTF support --List of notes needs work: X button (delete) bigger and highlighted delete button, borders around each item, delete all button? --optional sync to a single file (in google drive/onedrive) Bugs: --Quotes do not appear visible when using non-night mode and a foreground color. Need to change quote color to foreground color, too. --When multiple new tabs are open, there is a blinding white flash when switching to the new tabs

Draft tab worked great for over a year and now our saved draft tabs and items are gone. It was good while it was.

What happened to our saved items on the Draft Tab? Just gone. You needed to leave it alone. Now our stuff (links) placed on their are gone. Removing the Extension permanently.

Good. I use it basically as a dark mode new tab page with personal reminders written on it. I have a few suggestions however: - If i open a new tab and quick switch to another program, the browser icon in the taskbar begins to flash, which is annoying. The page is probably emitting some sort of alert or it's caused by page change. - Being able to disabled and/or change the shortcuts. The shortcut to open bookmarks is Ctrl + B, and the blur shortcut prevents me from doing that. Feels a bit annoying. - I don't know if it's possible, but the backups could to go to a folder inside the downloads folder, such as "Downloads/NewTabDraft Backup", instead of the files flooding the folder.

Excellent app. Would be better if they synced notes back up with google.

Please remove the "Share with your friend" popup, it breaks the minimalist idea of the page.

Hi, New Tab Draft! Thanks a lot for the app. Clear, simple. If you have time, pls, add a small, tiny button "copy to clipboard". It is the most popular scenario to use the app. Write and then copy.

I love this so, so, so, much. Sometimes I have a million thoughts and ideas and it takes too much time to jot it down in the correct place but opening a new tab takes a second. Genius!

Absolutely LOVE. Simple design. Clean. Incredibly useful for quickly jotting notes.

I'm able to keep track of what I do everyday and set goals for myself not to mention it's also a great way to type out your stories.

I really love this extension! It is awesome for web-based readings, since I don't need two applications to take notes. Changed my life as a student. Please give it a try, especially if you are in a subject that makes you do a lot of commentary for online readings.

Only gripe is that there's not much text formatting. Would to be able to bold words!

so many options for a such a simple writing tab. You can choose a completely custom background color, font color, font and font size, basically all of the basic options to suit your preference. creating and deleting files is as quick and easy as clicking a plus or x button. There are no markdown or rich text editing options, but i personally feel it keeps you more focused on writing. It's a really handy extension that lets you write instantly upon opening a new tab. recently (september 2020) an update to the extension required new permissions and i never got around to reenabling it. But weeks later, it's reenabled and all my writing is still there, so that's a plus.

I used this daily for years, but now I've exported all my notes and deactivated the extension because it started wanting to see all my data. I don't need a preview of recent websites or whatever you're using that data for -- it's completely unnecessary and unhelpful.

Life saver. Stop wasting time opening whatever app and get things done straight in your tab.

It is simply fantastic. I love the ability to quickly write notes no matter what I am doing. Furthermore, the UI, UX, even the fonts, etc. are minimalistic and pleasing. Highly recommending this to anyone with a busy and dynamic workflow!

Why do you need this ? Read a list of your most frequently visited websites . I don't like it .

I am going to DISABLE and REMOVE THIS EXTENSION from my browser. I agree with others who question the need for additional permissions. This is not a bookmarks/frequently visited extension and should focus on it's purpose, as it's not polished enough to start adding bells and whistles that were not asked for. Since this update with the required new permissions, on each page load, the left side of the page flashes -- quite unnerving, even if it's innocent, and at the least, visually bothersome. Yes, you can hide the new bookmark section, but I have not found this additional feature to be useful at all, and is rather redundant as most of us already fashion and display our bookmarks the way we like them. In addition to the new "features", the extension does a few things poorly. First, the super annoying blur that happens when its saving (?) comes with a slight lag/delay that forces you to wait before being able to SEE the text and continue typing. This defeats the purpose of hassle-free note taking. Also, the extension tends to not save the typing/cursor position, so if you leave the page and return, you may find your cursor at the very bottom of your document instead of where you left off. Good luck finding that position again on a long note. I switched from Tab Notes recently to this extension after the behavior of Tab Notes changed recently (likely due to a Chrome update). This extension -- New Tab Draft -- offers tabs which Tab Notes does not, so that's a bonus for those who would rather work in a single tab for notes, but that's the only positive over Tab Notes. Lastly, "Jack Lee" has replied to a few ratings here with "We don't do evil" & "I think you are smart enough to make the right decision." You're right. Removing from Chrome is mine.

Why does every app want all our personal data?? I enjoyed using this extension for the last 2 years but I'm deleting it today. The developer says they need to read our data to show our bookmarks. I don't believe this - if I wanted to see my bookmarks I'll just enable bookmarks in Chrome.

Lovely product which is very easy to use ...

I often used notepad to draft messages for WhatsApp for important occasions, but that left me with a bunch of files littered around. This is much better, as it works on both my Chromebook and my Windows desktop, and managing notes here is much easier than notepad files that require a whole new application.

Nice Clean, and minimum distraction. Separate section in each draft as a feature would be great

One of the most useful extensions out there.

Sometimes I forget myself and feel that this app lacks some formatting options and probably checklists with auto-sorting, and probably labels, tags, tables... But then I come back to my senses and think - oh boy, that's basically the only reason this app has stayed with me for such a long time. It's not overstuffed with features, and its UI is beautifully uncluttered. I tried a lot of these, and believe me - this is one of the best (and I'm not talking just about browser extensions)
