Does not work. Tried on Twitter and Facebook. I tried to complete the feedback form but developer blocked submission from sending. Also GUI is ridiculously awful. You have zero way of knowing if the you're blocking or not (ie. features are active or not). I would give this zero stars if I could.

Very useful, especially when testing websites.

This extension is great and works flawlessly and as expected! I just wish it supported a blacklist mode instead of the whitelist one, with each rule or entry in the blacklist customizable in terms of what to be blocked on that webpage... That would've been more convenient imo, but nonetheless, it does the job!

THANK YOU. The movement drives me nuts and this thing really works! I'm sooooo happy.

Didn't work for me. Also it's absurd how things are layed out. How do you know if you've activated a particular block? For example, I want to block "java" (doesn't work btw) but I have no idea if it's active or not. Ditto with the other options like blocking "media", "image", "object" and more. Sure you have a number being posted but that doesn't mean much especially if nothing is being blocked. I verified with other applications and manually disabled java script via Chrome browser to verify what happens when I block "this or that". This app is a fail.

Absolutely perfect! Blocks ALL the videos, completely. Even if you click play, they will not play, which is absolutely amazing. So sick and tired of this video fad. Not only do sites slow down to a crawl, they also waste massive amounts of data.

Works exactly as I hoped it would, getting rid of obnoxious blockers in the way of text.

The JavaScript Block is great for annoying news sites. Sadly, Sites can be Whitelisted but not Blacklisted, making it cumbersome to use. Turning on, activates for the entire browser, not just the current tab. Would prefer Blacklisting Sites.

It was great for awhile but now videos play even though media blocker is checked.

Does not work as advertised. It's not blocking anything and the documentation says there are no settings to configure.

Works excellently, often blocking ads when adblock and similar fail. Also speeds up browser significantly, and reduces memory. Unfortunately, the new whitelist feature does not work very well. You cannot add sites except by adding the current site, which does not work very well: When you click "add to whitelist" it uses the window you first opened in this browsing session, not the website open in the current window. This can make it extremely hard to populate the whitelist.

Finally updated with a whitelist, making this the #1 best option for blocking content available. Thank you dev for implementing what was requested by so many.

Giving 4 stars, as it does block the annoying autoplay videos that constantly pop up on the net these days and make your CPU whine like a pig. Agree with others that we need a whitelist to play videos on those sites without having to go into the settings and turn on/off.

Had a page where I couldn't copy nor right click... When disabled javascript it said I have to re-enable it... This sorted out all my problems by just one click, great job!

I was completely fed up of stumbling upon 'Forbes' pages which automatically being playing videos that I did not want to load because I am almost always on a metered connection. This plugin solved my issue!

Dumping entirely too much information on a web page suddenly seems like the latest thing to do. the latest trend. etc. etc. Less is more. This extension allows you to cut through the obnoxious clutter which is destroying the web

yes, great app. I concur with others on ability to add sites to "white" or "black" list.

Works as advertised. Would be 5 stars if I could whitelist sites.

Fantastic app, had been looking for this for ages!!! Was wondering for videos, whether it is possible to load a thumbnail while blocking the video itself from loading?

Like the other two, doesn't work in chrome. STILL plays blasting videos and audio on weather pages. Yanking this worthless extension.

It is the only add-on I foundthat would stop videos automatically playing on sites. I do wish it had a blacklist option so I could then choose which sites it would work on. Most sites are fine there are only a few that autoplay videos.

Art Archer April 10th, 2017

thank you sir and may i say that is the true video blocker extension on the whole chrome store if may we ask you to add the ability to right click on the video and make it play when we want we wait for more extensions from you

While it does block videos from auto loading, there is no option to right click on a video to allow just that video to play. I'm not going to keep turning this on and off. Removing this extension.

Fantastic app since google removed the native ability to stop autoplay of video/audio. Only suggestion would be adding a whitelist as others have suggested. Worth using without it though, I'll take the hassle of turning it off and on for the very few sites I want to play video for the huge benefit of stopping every video from playing automatically.

Awesome add on.Now if I turn it on even youtube videos dont play.I have to turn it on and off frequently for different websites. So Please create a settings where We can whitelist some websites or turn the add on off or on in single website basis.

Now I can say good bye to all those autoplaying media and oversized animated images as well.

Can you make it adjustable per website? like i can block media for 1 website and block images and allow media for another website and so on. Or make the blocked parts (any of the 5 among media, images, js, css and object) clickable so users can enable them if they want to allow only that specific object) Great awesome extension by the way! Good job!

Finally I can block HTML5 videos from loading. Recommended.
