This may be the most buggy and user-unfriendly software I have ever used. The company has actually made the product less easy to use over time. If you have multiple profiles and you want to schedule posting times - you cannot copy the schedule from one account to another which can waste a ton of time. There is no way to have a default account (anymore) you need to choose an account with every post. Often, photos do not show up from an article on a web page. Other times when I edit a post, random tags and URLs start repeating themselves - like some kind of sorcery. In all, Buffer, at its heart can do some amazing things but I am forced to use Zoho, often because Buffer is so buggy.

this used to be the best. but within the last few weeks, the option to click on the buffer button when hovering over a picture changed. previously, you could just hover and share the photo through the extension - no saving required. that's no longer the case. for me, that was a huge timesaver and so convenient to share photos across social. now i'm back to saving and uploading through the extension. still more convenient than having to go to multiple sites but the ease of sharing pictures was a BIG plus so now that it's gone... so has the high marks it once had

Not working with Twitter - trying to add tweets from the Twitter page to Buffer results in the error "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'split')".

Having to uninstall and reinstall every time I turn the computer off because it just won't show up on TweetDeck. This also happens on my work desktop, but not my personal laptop. All of them are using a chrome browser and two are logged into the same Google account. Why is it fine on one laptop and not the other? It's so annoying and would be so much help if you could fix it as the buffer extension really is such a life saver, when it works smoothly.

Only works on Twitter in unsecure browsers. If I have to jump through hoops to add to my queue, I might as well use something better.

How have we never reviewed buffer?! Sure, the extension can be finicky (AT TIMES - most times, it's faily flawless), but for what it does, it's been a godsend.

Not working anymore!

Doesn't seem to work anymore. Redirects to a broken link. "Opps! Page not found This page is not here anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

Have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling to get the button to reappear on Twitter and Tweetdeck. Even then, doesn't always work. Entire point of the extension is moot until this is fixed.

I continually have to uninstall and reinstall in order to keep the "Add to Buffer" options on Twitter and Tweetdeck.

This plugin is great but lately has been just randomly not working. So I keep having to remove and then re-add the plugin to my Chrome Browser. If that were fixed, I’d be much happier with it and could go back to giving it 5 stars. Please fix the issue, Buffer!!!

This was a great extension until (for some reason) the "Overlay on page" function no longer works. As you may have seen in other reviews, the same issue occurs with other users. Please bring back the "overlay on page" function.

The extension is buggy — and while tech support is friendly, the same issues persist.

In the last update it started opening the buffer overlay in a new tab, which is annoying and defeats the purpose of one click sharing.

Stopped working in Chrome. When it did work, it would launch a new tab instead of "Overlay on page" even though that setting was selected. Cumbersome and sometimes doens't work at all.

Was great but no longer has an overlay popup option instead it opens in a new tab which is incredible annoying.

Before you can use Buffer, you have to connect it to a Twitter account. I wanted to use Buffer to queue posts for the committees that I run on Facebook pages only - I do not own Twitter. But whenever I clicked the Buffer button on a facebook post it would simply redirect me to the Twitter sync page, rendering the app useless. Good concept though.

It was fine till you introduce options which DON'T WORK. I keep having an overlay over images which I can't deactivate. Changing the behaviour in the extension's options doesn't work. PLEASE fix this!

Works great, when it works the extension that is, everything else works as it should. Everyday for the past 2 weeks my has been corrupted and needing to repair in order to use, which I do with a click of the repair button, but shouldn't need to take all of these additional steps to use. Hence why, I give 4 stars rather than 2, because as I said, works great, when it works. Will gladly place back at 5 stars once this issue is fixed. because it is a GREAT resource.

It's just not working, every time I click the extension button it asks me to reload the buffer extension, after the reload it keeps showing the buffer animated logo and nothing else happens.

Works fine but options are not saved when toggled. I'm trying to disable keyboard shortcut and image overlay button, but when I uncheck the boxes and close the options screen, they immediately revert to the default ON setting.

Used to work great. One problem I've noticed recently is that it won't save changes to the options. For example, unchecking the Buffer Button Overlays won't stay saved. Next time I open options it's checked again, images still show the button overlay. I've tried refreshing pages, closing and restarting Chrome, clicked the "Saved" button at the bottom of the option modal, but nothing works.

It used to work, but doesn't any more on @Twitter RTs

I just installed the Buffer extention on chrome and works great. It is easy to share on my facebook account pieces of content I found on the web.

Great for just keeping all your basic accounts in sync easily :-)

Like this app works really well.

Use it for Linkedin and Twitter. The extension works great when I want to mirror posts from facebook to Twitter. Linkedin still has synchronizing issues but they are fixed with a few clicks. Nothing better in the market to publish on Twitter and Linkedin. Use Latergram for instagram scheduling.

Like it and the concept a lot, but wish I could add more social sites to distribute to.

An incredibly helpful little tool to fill the Buffer for all the social media posts. With Instagram, Twitter, Facebook Page, and Linked In Support. This is just the best.

Been using the extension for years. No complaints, works as intended.

I have tried several alternatives but keep coming back. That says it all. Nothing beats this extension for the convenience and simplicity of sharing things in a flexible way that also adheres to the increasing demands of social media companies.

It stores every account detail it can find. From tweets, private tweets, passwords, you name it. Please consider this before using it!

When you buffer something up when you add photos can you (Add people to your photos) like in twitter i tried hootsuite but you can't add your contacts in with your photos as well as SEM Rush ... is that possible with this app?

It functions quite well. I have been using it for years.

One of the main reasons for using Buffer has been their Pinterest repin feature. However, the Pinterest repinning support through the buffer chrome extension has been down for several weeks and have yet to receive an update of an ETA for fixing the issue. Been repeatedly told by support that they are working on it, but it seems its not a priority for them. As of right now, scheduling repins have to be done manually in buffer.

This thing is such time saver. Posting to Social Media in another timezone is a nightmare. Now I post on my terms and let Buffer do its thing. Best part is I can assess my posting to see what is working or not. Then I just repost. Maybe tweak a bit.

Really enjoy the service and the browser extension makes it quick and easy to use Buffer. Almost totally seamless :)

1 click and post to social media....not really. You have to still fill out the post for every single media outlet. Instagram you need to download to your phone too, TOO much work. I want one outlet that posts to all the social media with only filling out 1 (ONE) form.

Can't use it with Instagram unless you have a mobile app. I don't want it on there as it didn't work before. Not too thrilled.

I use it everyday at facebook. It does what it says it does. People having issues is probably related to their browser. I have had no problems using Chrome and buffer at all.

Incredibly frustrating extension. After logging on (via Twitter), there is no way of logging off in order to log on via other Twitter account: I tried refreshing browser, uninstalling extension, revoking permission from Twitter, all to no avail. Then I went to buffer.com and I'm forced to enter an email to log on, but then get message "whoops, looks like this email address is already in use" -- but there is no option for signing in anywhere with existing address. Unbelievably clumsy, stupid, and frustrating. Come on Buffer, get your act together!

Best thing to happen for Big & Small Businesses! I save so much time using Buffer, and it allows me to give full engagement to numerous audiences. Thanks Buffer for making this

My laptop froze with windows 10 for the first time. I may need to uninstall it. The concept and features seem to be okay.

Pretty useful

Been using it several times daily for nearly a year without issue, but suddenly it's breaking a SaaS app that I use at the office, so I had to disable. I hope they fix the problem, because I miss Buffer already.

It takes control of my social shares, email passwords and friends. It can post automatically on any of my accounts without my permission. Do not like it at all!!

Great extension. Would like to be able to get to dashboard more easily - I have to start buffering before I get that option. But, otherwise, no grumbles.
