Perfect! That new URL look for Wikipedia was not working for me with the HUGE margins. Got this extension, copied file from link site to import codes and bam! back to the old/good layout. Highly recommend.

worked great while our IT didn't have auto fwd enabled after changing some servers around.

Works great! And if you are finding any issues with some sites not redirecting, the site might be using a "Service Worker". I suggest installing the "No Service Worker" Chrome App as well to help with redirecting from these sort of sites (e.g. Twitter).

I really like this plugin, but the one issue I have is that you can't bulk delete entries. I'm currently using 15+ redirects some of them conflicting with each other. I make use of the import/export feature to store different combinations of redirects. I wish I could bulk delete redirects when importing

Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for, thanks. Set it up to redirect translate.google.com to .co.uk, cos that's the only way to get the UK localised voice. Should work for other languages & localisations too. Next I will try modifying the Google Play Store URLs that Google Search provides, always with &gl=US in it, which disables the Install button. Such a dumb design, can't believe they still haven't fixed that after so many years. Thank you developer!

It works on Edge but now it started using 100% CPU all the time. Don't know what it's doing but definitely don't want that.

Not working. The example I set up shows the correct redirect, but does not actually do anything when testing. Update: Another extension worked.

It's useful for some sites that changed quite a few times their top level domain (.com, .ru, .me...) and that messed up my favourites. Question though: can someone help me write how to redirect from "watch?v=[video code]" to "youtube.com/watch/watch?v=[video code]"? On some sites, they don't allow for youtube links and people that want to share a video only paste the "watch" part, and I'm getting too lazy to retype "youtube.com/" each time XD

Excellent Extension, It allowed me to change chrome pdf viewer to always open pdfs in "Fit to Width" view, unfortunately It doesn't for files.

I love this extension, although it is a bit slow. Super easy to use with the previewer.

I'm using the same version on Vivaldi 4.x (Desktop) and on Kiwi (Android), pretty much everything works except redirecting FROM twitter (to a nitter instance) on Vivaldi.

Does not work

Really like this extension, it's simple and gets the job done. Yesterday I was using redirector to redirect API calls to localhost and was facing CORS errors when there was a preflight or OPTION method. I tried to fix it for hours from the backend side (C# ASP.Net project), then it turned out that no matter what I do redirector won't redirect certain types of HTTP requests (POST + Preflight and OPTIONS) =_= It took me 2 full days to figure out the issue because redirector was working fine when it came to redirecting everything else. Hope this gets fixed.

Not sure what's happening with this extension but if I have it on and try to log in to amazon, chrome would stop loading any website until I restart it. After I disabled it I was able to log in to Amazon as normal and every other website would load as normal too.

I had 5 elements in a page that required a redirect and I got only 2 of them redirected consistenly.

This is a very good plugin. It is the only tool I found which lets me easily redirect external urls to internal doc links on my Mac. e.g. https://filelink/<internal mac link> to something like file:///Users/Foo/Google Drive/file.pdf If you're new to redirects and regex, take some time to read the docs and study the example redirect.

Simple and does what I'm looking for (redirecting old broken CurseForge urls for Minecraft mods). Thank you!

Extension does not work at all. Don't waste you time with it.

Never left a review for an extension but once I figured out to just put the same url in "included pattern" it worked perfectly. I like it and it works perfectly. I wanted to redirect to Smile.Amazon.com when I type Amazon.com and that's what it did. Now I will never forget to go to Smile to donate.

Does not work or do anything. Even when I got some rules apparently doing what I wanted it to do by testing with examples, it never works on actual sites. outside the rule-editor-thing.

Right now the input is somewhat like a form. But if we can write entries like /etc/hosts it would be great and fast to use. I use this basically as a user level DNS

Works really well except for storage sync, which is unchecked every time I open the extension page no matter how many times I've checked it. I haven't tested whether or not sync actually works anyway though. Definitely worth 5 stars if that's fixed.

Great simple extension to help with social media addiction, however not sure why but it doesnt work on twitter, and also can be bypassed by spam clicking on a link to a site that normally redirects.

I've tried everything to get it to work. And nothing. Just a tidbit, if you need an entire manual in order to use your software, maybe it's important to prioritize making it simpler. Great work, but I'll be using Switcheroo.

The only extension which does what I need!

The chrome extension was easy to use but once I created a couple redirects the process did not work AT ALL. Went to a website the direct was suppose to work on, didn't work. Tried another redirect to see if it was just the website, didn't work.

it work just go on a youtube vid clike the link and it will download a file

Redirects invariably take me to adware/malware sites instead of the intended destinations. Don't use this.

The config does seem a little daunting at first but the help pages provided the details I needed to figure out how to take advantage of the extension. Now Evernote web URLs redirect to the Evernote desktop app. Include pattern: https://.*.evernote.com/shard/(.*)/nl/(.*)/(.*)/ Redirect to: evernote:///view/$2/$1/$3/$3

Love it. Much better than any site blocker. Just redirect to blank.org and you're good to go!

Took a little bit to figure out some of the slightly more advanced features, but it's worth it in the long run. My use case is redirect all amazon links to smile.amazon (I would forget to change it manually) and it works perfectly for that.

The interface is not all that user friendly, and the help page can be overwhelming to look at.

ymmv but for me this extension didn't work at all unless it was a single, simple redirect from one page to another - no host-wide rules or anything, or if there are the documentation is too light and badly worded to tell. UI is garbage Mentions of Firefox in the settings Low effort, but can at least do something even if it's not very useful.

Works perfect! I got this setup and have my coworkers using it for an issue we had for a site. Documentation is a technical and was hard to understand for some of our members but the import export option allowed me to setup and send them to my coworkers. Excellent extension.

This extension is a life saver! I have a very strange issue with amazon where it keeps adding a "&tag=tvshowreminders-20" to the end of every page and it causes every page to have a "Sorry we couldn't find that page" error. So I used this extension to redirect every amazon URL that included that broken tag to the same page without the tag and I can finally use amazon normally again. It took me like 10 minutes to understand how the wildcard pattern worked, but the included how-to page made it a lot simpler to understand with examples and all. 5/5

Needs to be much more user/beginner friendly or better support. On the import page there could be a repository of user and developer created lists for various functions and would serve a whole lot better to teach people how to use Redirector. As is, only web experts can benefit. Opportunity lost.

I redirect the new reddit to the old reddit now. That's the only reason I use it. And it works perfectly.

Please support redirecting to local files.

I wanted to automatically redirect amazon to smile.amazon without installing their intrusive toolbar extension. For that task it works well and it looks like there are some other interesting uses. If it helps anyone, my settings were: Redirect: http*://www.amazon.co.uk* to: https://smile.amazon.co.uk$2

Needed a simple way to redirect a few specific URLs due to DNS problems with my ISP. This extension was the third I installed and by far the best. It's easy to use and works well. Decent documentation that includes lots of examples. Nice that you can use either wildcards or regular expressions to match URLs.

somewhat buggy and unstable extension. sometimes the extension will just take up 100% of the cpu process and halt the whole browser. killing and restarting the process may help, but this can also crash the browser completely. otherwise it is working fine. hope something can be done as to the stability issues.

Does what it says, easy to configure, and very powerful, especially in countries where certain sites are blocked, e.g. wikipedia, and you can redirect to a mirror. Excellent tool.

Dont know what 'included pattern' means. You have a screenshot of your helps files but as of now no links to them. Frustrating! I removed and installed a different extension

Really good extension. I tried others extension too but this is the best one. I was looking for shortcut so I can disable or enable redirect easily. This extension has this option. Thank you. FYI: I was confused with the red color note "The include pattern does not match the example url." The explanation is in help section but sitl not clear but I used same link it works. Suggestion: On the "Create Redirect" or "Edit Redirect" panel if you add (?) mark for each part e.g. Example URL, Include pattern etc. and that will show popup hints by click on it, will be great, so people don't need to jump to the "REDIRECTOR HELP" link frequently.

read help for what i needed, simply wanted to redirect one single website that i commonly misspell to the correct website, and it wouldn't work. looks like trash to me.

Really useful extension with bunch of advanced (as for an average user) functions, but... In the end I learned something new in "code writing" and the extension is satisfied ;)

Powerful and very useful extension. I use it for many annoying redirects (or better to prevent them). What makes this extension so much better than all the other extensions is the support of regex. Very useful is also the import/export support. A must-have extension for any system i set up.

I liked the simple UI of switcheroo, but this extension works better, faster and more consistently.
