Currently this breaks dev tools when running, has to disable it to get the debugger to start running again.
Unfortunately this doesn't work at all!
Works only in old versions of chromium-based browsers. I set up Opera 76 and debug there
this knockout context debugger stopped showing knock out variable in elements tab after i updated chrome can anyone help me out.
Doesn't work any more in latest chrom.
No longer working on Chrome. Workaround : use firefox plugin. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/knockoutjs-context/
Doesn't work any more in latest chrom.
Doesn't work anymore with latest Chrome
Does not work as per latest chrome update
not working in latest chrome update.
Stopped working after updating the Chrome version to 92.0.4515.107 (Official Build) (64-bit)
No data are showing on the Knockout out debugger screen as of today.
Can't write Knockout without it! WARNING: Make sure you don't enable tracing, it will cause the entire page to lag and then freeze on bigger projects. It's also recommended to turn off serialisation to reduce memory usage (by clicking on the extension's icon in the top-right of chrome and then clicking options).
Fantastic
Doesn't work. Either that, or it's extremely confusing to get it to work. Looking for something easy.
I've been using this extension for a couple years now. I think it's essential for Magento front end development where KO is used.
I used to rely on it, but it's not working for me with 3.5.0 RC2.
Good for checking on knockout contexts in dev tools, but my god, it becomes slow as treacle even on the smallest of views, will remove from chrome now. would recommend if in a real bind, would not recommend for day to day use.
cant live without this
Not able to see values in Knockout Context panel. Can only see observables only No way to dig into obesrvable.
I'm going to parrot what Andy Hawkins said two years ago: !!! If you experience slowness when debugging in the elements tab !!! Go to extensions and then options and turn off the first checkbox for serialization. This will fix the issue.
Its a valuable tool, but only because there are none else like it. There is a memory leak or something that routinely crashes my tab.
Invaluable tool for doing coding with KOjs. Thanks a bundle.
Great tool. I don't know how I could do my job without it.
Necessary for development in any Knockout environment.
Apparently this no longer functions in recent versions of chrome. I was unable to get it to show up.
doesn't work
awesome
Grate Tool
Works great
So far so good. THANK YOU!!
Must have tool when developing a Knockout application. I have worked on several applications of decent size and never ran into any performance issues noted by others. I imagine that if you have performance issues, your models are probably insane. :)
It's good to see whats in the model, but it breaks the Chrome process with a "Ah Snap" message when I check the properties of a specific html element.
Awesome, must have for each knockout developer
This is invaluable tool for knockout. A must have!
Works great for deep dives into ko code.
Very useful tool. The simplicity of using this has almost completely eliminated my use of ko.contextFor() & ko.dataFor().
A MUST HAVE app for knockout development. !!! If you experience slowness when debugging in the elements tab !!! Go to extensions and then options and turn off the first checkbox for serialization. This will fix the issue.
This tool is a great help for Knockout development. I have used it with both large and small applications.
very nice
best
This is an OK tool for simple pages but it you get into seriously complex territory this plug-in will bog down chrome to the point of failure. I had forgotten i had this extension installed and thought chromes debugging tools were getting flaky... even glancing at the elements tab risked crashing chrome.
Works wonderfully when the application is smaller but starts to falter as the application grows as others have noted. It's been a great debugger otherwise and I'm able to use it for about 90% of my debugging work.
So far it's been helpful at debugging a few of my context issues. I bet it will be even more useful after I learn more ko
A very useful tool! Thank you.
This is a great tool!
I'm learning KO, and this tool helps me a lot. Thank you for this great tool!
Very useful tool
Very useful for any knockout application. thanks you for this great tool
It's great but once the application gets bigger it freezes :(
AMAZING!
I love the idea, but in reality this has limited use because any context errors (you know, the biggest reason you need a context debugger) render this useless. Also, I'm yet to be able to use it even when I don't have errors because it freezes up the process it's using (i7 3820 with 64GB of ram). I so wish this did work though because it would be gold when developing with KO.
Awesome
good app
This tool is wonderful and is very handy. Definitely a must have for working with knockoutjs. I do run into issues however with it causing my browser to lag from time to time, so I have to turn it off from the Extensions to inspect my styling more efficiently.
Great tool. There might be a memory leak because after a short while my Dev Tools because somewhat unresponsive (very laggy.) Once I disable the add-on, the Dev Tools responds adequately. I still use it, but I have to be deliberate about turning it on and off. Other than that, it is a very, very helpful tool.
If you're working with KnockoutJS then you NEED this extension!!
Awesome! Would be nice if I could see unwrapped observables in the context view :)
Amazingly useful!! Wow!
Works great! The only minor downside I encountered is that it tends to make Chrome unresponsive when inspecting elements on a _very_ knockout/javascript intensive page.
Excelent!
A really great tool, thanks
Fantastic tool - must have if you use knockout!
we need more extensions like these for web devs!
The tracing works well. It's very helpful to see log messages when any observable changes. Because the application I'm working on has DOM nodes in the viewModel the context inspector doesn't work. ko.toJS can't handle processing DOM nodes. But I've tried it on other KO-based sites and it works beautifully. Great idea for an extension. Very useful!
Would love to have a way to have it always enable tracing by default for certain sites.
I have been looking for a tool like this for a long time.
I use this extension all day long. Literally, the best thing to happen to knockout-based development. How can i give you money to keep working on this?
Do you use knockout.js? You SHOULD use this extension! Thank you!
Great tool
We're using deeply nested objects and its been a huge help with out development. Thank you!
Very very useful extension! And if you want to see the content inside an knockout observable variable, take a look at _latestValue property.
Amazing tool..
This is a must have extension if you use knockout!
Great!
Very Helpful!
Really really helpful!
This plugin combines two of my favorite tools for development: Chrome and Knockoutjs!
