Doesn't work anymore. You can set the shortcut to anything, but pressing the shortcut doesn't turn anything greyscale. Maybe it needs to be updated.
No matter what combination I used, it didn't work- was looking forward to this...
The short cut didn't work at first but I had to refresh the tabs I had open before I installed the extension before the short cut started working.
Works. If you're having issues, it's because you're trying to use it on a web page you had open before installing the extension. Try refreshing that page and then using the hotkey. :)
Shift+G combination does not work, nor does Ctrl+G or Alt+G or several other attempted combinations. Needs an on/off setting outside of a keyboard shortcut.
Doesn't work with Shift, CTRL, ALT plus g. How do you create other shortcuts (eg. ctrl + alt+ g)??

Would be neat to also have a toggle from the icon and not just a keyboard shortcut. Aaaand the shortcut doesn't always work on the first try. But it does the job, I guess?

This works, except the developer should have made the short cut combo key less common. If it doesn't work for you, it's because you have another extension that is using that combination. Try changing it to Ctrl+G but then use Ctrl+Alt+G seems work for me. The other fail safe is to put your browser in dev mode (F12) then use the default Shift+G which should work.

It works for me. Chrome Version 45.0.2454.98 (64-bit). But can not define combo keyboard shortcuts, like alt + shift + g.

Handy tool, needs the 2 suggestions reported by others: - customizable key - default on Preferably also the option to have a button. Does not work on all pages (e.g. extension tab of chrome)
Works pretty well, but the hotkey combination needs to be customizable, or at least change to something not using the shift key. Shift+G is a terrible idea, because it activates every time you type a capital G.
Very nice. Will give it a 5 if there is a feature to turn on by default (so that we do not need to keep turning it on) and remember website settings (some website that we don't want grayscale).
Does what it says, unlike that over extension "grayscale" which didn't deactivate x_x Fast and convenient! Like pressing photoshop shortcuts lol, very nifty for value studies using two monitors :S Not sure if malicious though, as it asks for our data on all websites, and has a button in the extensions page that reads "allow access to file urls"
