its great extension. I use Live CSS Editor regulary for testing website css codes before running on live website or sometimes when some websites have little compatiblity problem I use this to fix the view for myself. thanks alot.
As soon as the edit is entered the css changes disappear. Same after reloading the page.
browser code inspector is better
Doesnt open
good one but why so hard to resize?
Suddenly all the CSS I type goes in ALL CAPS with no option to change it? My caps lock is definitely off :-/ What's going on?
It make me easy use and helpful to me.
No option to save edits for future visits. Which makes this add-on absolutely worthless since chrome developer tools allow you to edit CSS LIVE :/
needs more feature and improvments IT'S VERY VERY BASIC
Doesn't open at all. Clicking does nothing.
Simply Simple and straight to the point. I would like as you type the class or id of an element to be highlighted on the page. But not required. It just works perfect like this.
Didnt work. Either through clicking icon or shortcut. No box appears.
there are still some minor bugs that are irritating sometimes. so only 4 stars
Aside from AdBlock, this is the one extension I could not live without. It makes front end dev so much faster and I can't even remember how I wrote CSS before!
How much do I adore this plugin? Well, after accidentally overwriting my Chrome browser profile today, this happens to be the very first plugin I'm reinstalling. Not Ghostery, not React dev tools, but this tiny little lightweight CSS controller. I depend on it *that* much. The one reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish that it gave UI feedback when an element is matched by a CSS selector. (It would also be super cool to know the values of the CSS being overridden.) For those things you still have to use dev tools. The main difference between this application and dev tools is the interface: this is just a simple runtime extension of the existing CSS, superimposed onto the wndow in a freeform texteditor format. I wish dev tools was the same.
Have no idea what it does. Just puts the CSS logo on the toolbar. click it and get an empty box. Been designing websites for 25 years. Does not edit stylesheet. Worthless
Window resize is not good. Also it would be good to load the active css.
easy to use, instant result displayed. Only one problem that is, it does not work when overlay panel is activated on the page.
All it needs is syntax highlighting.
Saved me alot of work Just LOVE IT
I dont get it
really nice
Just great :)
nice add on
Great tool
MagicCSS is better because: * it's open source * has syntax highlight * doesn't require permission to access all your data
Tremendously useful and almost brilliant in its simplicity. Some features seem to be just missing, however. I like that the css persists, for instance, but not across domains--just individual sites. And there's no clear way to find css you've applied to a page, which means there's no easy way to work with pages across a single domain unless you want to find the page whose CSS you edited initially on and keep it on your clipboard as you navigate the site. Otherwise, I like editing CSS with this extension more than Google's inspector.
thanks its cool
it is very helpful
Live CSS Editor is really helpful as it displays the results of command lines
Wonderful plugin !
This is a very nice app.
Useless. Can't even open it, and when I try to use the key shortcut- oh, look! I'm not on a Mac, so I can't use /command/. >(
Fantastic tool for rapid CSS prototyping. A few peeves and suggestions: - Window reloading is clunky - Add in-extension storage save/load optionality - Add support for LESS and in-extension rapid compiling - Add syntax highlighting
This is a really good extension and makes it really easy to live-edit pages. My only suggestion is that you add the capability to apply a single CSS page to multiple websites or multiple pages on a single website. For example, I just did an hours worth of editing my Reddit front page and comments section. However, because of the way Reddit and this extension is set up, I have to copy and paste the comment page's CSS into the extension any time I view a new thread's comments. For Reddit, this gets quite tedious. Other than that, this is a great extension. If you add what I mentioned above, it would totally be 5 stars.
Great job!! Really really helpful to edit css "runtime", live!
This is a pretty handy tool for testing out css before putting them on a user style extension, but the only compliant i have is that you cant do it in another window and it keeps blocking what im trying to look at.
Being able to live test exactly what you'll put into your stylesheet can be really helpful.
I would like it more if I was able to use an external sheet and choose whether or not I want the css to apply to the domain or the specific url.
is not working smoothly on chrome 31.0.1650.57 on Mac os X 10.6.8 A pity as it was looking promising.
this help me alot...
great for those on-the-fly changes that needs to be made on some sites to temporarily disable or relocate elements
It is a very helpful and simple plugin. I don't like the resize system, it is very annoying. And why I can't my style in a separate window? Add those features and I'll assign to you five star!
I code websites for a living. I have enjoyed this extension for several years now. It is fast, lightweight and powerful. I use it to live edit sites, then I cut and paste into my stylesheets. No refreshing for long periods and cant mess up the file like some other editors. One small issue is if you have styling of a textarea and if you have a class named .left it can mess with the css of the editor's textarea and container.
This is fast and easy. Love it. Can I recommend you add this to your extension's CSS? textarea#LiveCSSEditor-code {color: #000;} Maybe it's just me, but it currently uses the body font color of whatever page you're on. And if it happens to be white, then you can't see it!
Very useful.Love it
Excellent job Jeremy! This is going to make checking CSS so much easier. Blessings. -Ruben
Love it. Works very well. I'd like to see an additional 'Global CSS' that you can apply to all sites (to hide the FB comment boxes on every site, for example)
will be great... not it is too simple
Not really user friendly for the novice CSS coder.
This extension has made editing css a breeze, I can't even imagine how much time it save me. Only problems are that it doesn't work with local files and the resizing is somewhat difficult.
Crashes on some pages using latest Chrome One star because the resize is really not easy when the box is not positioned on the top left. You should be able to resize from any corner.
I clicked on the icon, nothing happened.
Works right out of the box, unlike cqstyle. Simple to use, page modifies very quickly as you type the CSS. The CSS is saved and remembered if you close the tab and re-open that URL later. Wish the resizing handles were "normal", as in, placed in all corners, no just in the lower-right one (which makes resizing quite weird).
earlier this didn't do anything in my browser, now it serves as a good learning tool. Appreciated .
Does not work with file:/// URLs.
Good functionality. Would be great though if there were a setting for default size of the editor. It's rather annoying to have to resize the editor each time I open it.
doesn't work
Great tool. My main browser is FF (at the moment) but I always return to Chrome when editing CSS because of this tool!
Does not work on Mac.
