Awesome! The best email notification extension!!! Best!

I loved this extension, but suddenly it is not working properly. It gives me this error and does not load the data. UnknownError: Internal error opening backing store for indexedDB.open.

Really good extension, I love being able to quickly check my emails. Recently however, if one of the emails has a website link on it and I click that link from the Checker icon, it'll crash the whole browser. Using Vivaldi.

This is one of the best extensions I've ever used. Very handy. One thing I'd like to suggest to the developers though. I think it would be helpful to have a "Silent" setting that allows the user to silence sound and voice notifications between set hours.

I have been using this extension since 2020 and, apart from uninstalling once to fix a sign in issue, this works very well.

This extension is amazingly useful (and well designed). I have 5 gmail accounts that I access regularly. I had been using Thunderbird for quick checks of all accounts but it's pretty sluggish in updating. So I tried 'Checker Plus for Gmail'. I was delighted by how quickly responsive it is and how its interface is intuitive and has some of the same look and feel as gmail itself. Bravo I have contributed, not because I need the extra features, but becuase I want to reward excelleng software development. ive been using this for years and it's by far the best checker app. BUT it's also the highest memory consumption checker app at 48mb of ram when everything else stays around 15. is that going to make a difference for my pc? no. will it make a difference for netbooks/chromebooks? absolutely.

Used it for years without any issues but recently been having 2 bizarre issues: a) Deleting emails from the extension isn't removing them from the actual Gmail accounts b) Opening any of the Gmail accounts via the extension is opening a different Gmail account on chrome Still love the extension but these two issues are really grinding my gears lol

Latest update seems to have broken 'detect signed-in accounts', forcing entry of all accounts manually.

Attempts to extort money for activating most features. Extension is barely functional unless you pay up the developer.

EDIT: The fix is in Options, change Accounts to be Manually Added rather than Auto-Detect. Tipped for the app donkey years ago. The past year or so, Mail Deletion has stopped functioning. Clicking the Delete button on OS-level toasts, or browser-level popups, don't do anything to the actual mail inside of Gmail. Nowadays when I need to delete emails, I pick up my phone to do it.

Worked great for me since the beginning. Made checking emails a thousand times easier.

Periodically it resets to just one default account and I have to log in the others again.

I had premium on my previous Gmail address. So, when I made a transition to this new address, I installed this extension. And want to contribute something to upgrade to pro but can't pay. None of the payment options are working.... I'm trying G Pay, PayPal

I select System Label > Inbox and have 8000k messages. Okay, I only want Primary tab. Unselect Inbox, select Category > Primary and suddenly "too many messages" "give me permissions to your mail". But nope, I have 0 unread in Primary. There is no "too many messages". But let's see if it works at all. I add account, give extension permission to access my mail, and send myself a test email. It is clearly unread in my Inbox>Primary in Gmail, but extension ignores it and does not show it. Nice. Looks like it's not working at all? Last test. I send myself a test message from another account and finally it works. I find extension UI over-engineered and confusing.

I want to thank Jason for answering my emails when I needed help with this extension. Using the extension is fine, but when the owner takes responsbility and answers questions to assist the enduser, shows a great deal of integrity. Merci mille fois! 26 August 2022 the extension's been crashing once a week and I've been reinstalling it. Today the install crashes at one second. Jason's email has been disabled.

I have been using this great extension for years, but it seems in the last few days that my sound notifications are just randomly happening without any actual emails coming in. Can anyone confirm this behavior? I have had to disable things for now, as the sounds are happening quite frequently.

So, I'm going to start with the bad. I didn't realise that I had over 9,000 unread emails Waaaahhh! :'( And this app doesn't automatically reply to them for me. :-| But now the serious bit - I didn't expect it to, but it has helped me realise that I need to update my filters and sort out my subscriptions. But this is a fantastic idea. Read, Reply, Compose emails without having to leave the window you're in. Easily manage multiple accounts and it works out of the box. This is absolutely the sort of app that I would have expected from Google themselves. Fantastic job Jason, and definitely worth every 5 star review!

It works, but ever since the latest June update the unread mail notification on the button is now a solid color and blends in too hard with the number of unread mails, making it nearly impossible to see how many unread mails you have at a glance. Yes, I know I could change the color, but I don't want to and shouldn't have to. https://i.imgur.com/Xa0B5Ke.png

When I compose a new email from the widget button using "+" button, window for a new email opens up and text formatting options are turned on (panel is opened). Kinda annoying and unnecessary because I don't format text every time I write an email. I reckon this panel should be closed by default. Also sometimes it won't send an email when replying from widget. It shows that email is sent but then later shows that you were interrupted and a copy of the message was saved, but email itself wasn't sent.

I have been using it for years, this is the best email extension on chrome.

I liked all the features and the options. However, voice input, which I use regularly with the Google feature and with another extension, did not appear to work. I could see no microphone icon. Secondly, If I composed a new email, It took a while for the Gmail window to load. I can see that it could be a plus for some, but not for me.

Recent update throws a few Syntax and Ref errors in Chrome 84 (preventing the app from running). Older Chrome OS devices have an Auto Update Expiration and updates are no longer possible. It would be great if the code compiles to ES2015.

1. It works for multiple accounts 2. It supports reading emails in a popup window 3. It has an unread badge BUT: 1. It collects info about you & your clicks/usage to phone home (it's ya boi Google Analytics again) 2. It embeds tracking info in the link every time you go to the homepage 3. It constantly pesters you to unlock features, phrasing it like you're just making a donation out of good will 4. There are links and buttons all over the UI asking you to follow/pay the developer I don't care too much because the extension still works a lot better than add0n's notifier (that I just switched away from due to https://github.com/inbasic/ignotifier/issues/560), but they are still major cons that severely hurt my impression of the developer as a person.

I love this because It is good for school, work, and if you are getting fan mail you can respond and know when you get fan mail

I love this extension but since its installation when I open chrome or any other site it comes with an advertising tab. Are these ads from Gmail checker plus? Do you have that problem?

It is a great extension, I problem I noticed: If I receive a reply to an (marked) unread email, the notification will be for the initial email, not the new reply that I got.

what happened to the Checker Plus for google calendar extension? sir, as mentioned in the title, how did the calendar extension got removed from the webstore? And even my previously installed one got disappeared, what happened to the calendar extension, is it something about malware issue?

One of the best extensions out there but with a fatal flaw. It will cause gmail to be unable to open in browser after leaving it on for awhile and I would have to disable the extension, wait for a random amount of time and attempt to open my browser session for gmail again. Hope this gets fixed.

Anyone else got transparent pop-up window after October's update? I can hardly see anything because of the transparency. I didn't do anything at all but it just changed its looking by itself. Tried resetting all skins and themes but no help. How can I get the old looking back?

Hello, can you please tell me how to reorder the emails in the extension after I have logged in to all of them? Do I have to sign out from all of them and sign in the right order because that's a hassle. Is there an option in the extension itself that allows me to reorder the email rows in the way I want? Thank you.

I like this extension, but I hate how signing into google makes the extension still say "Must Sign In" and I have to sign in using their Sign In button. It is really annoying, especially when I'm already signed it

This extension is excellent! I manage six Google accounts. This extension is a massive contributor toward keeping me sane. I especially love that it remains signed in, as long as you configure it that way in the Accounts section of the extension settings. I clear my browser data regularly, and having this extension just keep working (no need to sign in again), is wonderful. It is remarkably capable, and saves me from doing a lot of account switching.

Very helpful! Never misses any incoming emails and you can either delete or mark the email as read without having to enter the browser. You can also access the email through the popup notifications on desktop. I do have a recommendation and would love if I could get the same types of notifications for Hangouts messages. The notification settings from the gmail browser themselves don't work for me and would really appreciate if the extention had the feature to. Overall, quite the helper, would recommend 100% !

My favorite extension and the reason why I use google chrome. No other browsers have a similar email notifier.

Been using this extension for years now without any problems but the latest versions keep on randomly crashing on my set up which is an iMac running OS X El Capitan. Tried all the usual stuff such as clearing cookies, reinstalling chrome, reinstalling the app etc... but sadly nothing seem to sort the issue and the randomness of the app crashing. Shame as it was the best email checker I've used until recently... :-/

I have been using this extension for about 2.5 years with 6 emails. I haven't deleted cookies & clear browsing history for a long time on Google Chrome. This extension still worked well. Thanks indeed for developers, this extension saved much time of mine. I wrote this review when i intended to introduce my friends this extension.

Really nice, although it has stopped working for me these past few months. I'm not able to click on it.

Not really sure why the extension can't EVER show a read email, even though it has an exhausting number of options. The moment you go back the email is gone, and if you want to take further action, you got to open your inbox. It's also very troublesome to show the accounts other than your main one, even though Gmail has different URLs for each accounts. But well, those are the issues I found on the extension. It does well what it says it does, and beautifully so.

Love this extension, it makes checking my email easier, since i don't have to leave the page I'm on.

Incredible extension, I cannot believe I managed to go so many years without it. Previously I was checking my gmail open tab 100's of times per day, not only wasting time but also causing lots of anxiety and stress, worrying I might miss an important email. However, with this extension I no longer have to! Jason has created some incredibly detailed and inspirational apps here and I could honestly not recommend enough! Look no further, I have tried the alternatives available and they are total rubbish in comparison. The level of care and detail that has gone into these creations is mind blowing and they are FREE! I strongly recommend contributing though to support such important projects and to help future development. It's also great to know that by doing so we are supporting an ethical, ecological and sustainable developer and project, rather than some hideous corporation . If I could I would rate this 100/5 ! This extension has become such an important part of my workflow that even when I recently started working at a company, I was going crazy without having it installed. 5 stars, no hesitation.

It says "could not determine the sign in order so assuming 1 ". When I open notification then unable to see the mail and it opens mail for another account.

Excellent extension! Subtle presence but extremely useful and powerful.

It was great, but recently it loads the popup like 10 times slower than just open native gmail in a tab, so using it is kind of pointless. I didn't find a reason.

Very useful for those want to get notified instantly for Gmail. You can also read the subject and part of E-mail you received in your Windows notification corner and even there is delete button to remove the E-mail fast and instant.

Checker Plus extension works great for managing Gmail inboxes. Within the extension, buttons for individual email actions work instantaneously. However, the "Mark All As Read" button often takes an extra few seconds to execute. Whether using "Mark All As Read" for 2 or 20 emails, that button intermittently lags a few seconds prior to its emails are removed from the Checker Plus's Unread list. I manage 3 Gmail accounts, and use "Mark All As Read" only for one Gmail account at a time, instead of all accounts at once. I'm not sure about the source of the issue, but I'll be sure to add a review star if I see it resolved. Chrome version 90.0.4430.212 Checker Plus version 22.6.2.1

I give this extension 2 stars because I have to keep reinstalling it! I have an HP Chromebook 11 G5 and every 2 months or even sometimes sooner than that, I need to reinstall this extension because when I go to check my emails (after 2 months or sooner) I am greeted by a notification saying "Network Error" and when I go to configure the extension there is another notification saying "Corrupt Browser Profile". I have no idea why this happening.

It checks my Gmail, pretty simple.

The extension is awesome. I use this every day to check emails while I'm working. It takes a lot of time to open gmail, see the email and reply to it. Sometimes, I don't see the emails and I miss out on important things. This is very useful and efficient for me.

The mail button is always hidden in the Extensions button, and the option to allow this to read and change site data on all sites is grayed out, so I can only bring the button out by manually clicking on in inside the Extensions button. Edit: Nevermind, I was in incognito mode; Pinning an extension is only available in an non-incognito window.

Its a good extension. Uning this since last 4-5 years, no issue found until. But now it is slowing down opening sites especially when insecting sites in mobile mode under development tools. Tried by enabling/disabling the extension then found this extension is the reason.

This addon for Google Mail does everything it claims to do, with a great customizable interface. After a couple of month's use, there's been no surprises or gotchas... very nice! I have five different Google Mail accounts, and with this extension I'm able to quickly manage them all at once. The Developer has the expertise and knowledge across Google Drive / Calendar / Mail to make using these platforms easier though these extensions. He is very responsive to issues and feature requests. Make sure to check out the Calendar and Drive addons!
