This thing hasn't worked for months at this point

Past couple months it hasn't worked at all.

streams dont load while enabled

Works great. If it quits working, come back to this website and download the updated file. It does NOT update on its own, as other apps usually do.

usually 5 stars, but as of the start of feb, it no longer functions. will not drop it past 4 stars as this used to work and worked reallllllly well.

It has been making streams I watch on Twitch load indefinitely, keeps annoying me. Please get this fixed if this extension isn't abandoned.

Been using it for a little while and it was the only way i could find to no have ads on ttv, saw it was recommended by the guy that makes ublock origin plug ins for ads. edit: 5/29/21 issues with error 2000 make me turn it off, seems to only happen on the streams i watch the most edit: purple ad block gives large delay (3+ seconds), you might get ads that go away after refresh

Dec 13, 2022 Started digging around for solutions for blocking Twitch ads. Eventually stopped using this as I came to enjoy a different extension that modifies a number of things, but since that stopped blocking ads I'm no longer using it. Somehow this still works to stop ads despite it not having been updated in ages. Oct 25, 2021 Only reliable fix right now for ads it seems. The slightly longer loading time it causes isn't too bad considering how much time an ad normally robs you of.

You need to use TTV with 'Purple Ads Blocker' Also make sure your ublock is disabled for Twitch website Working perfectly

Sometimes you'll see "taking an ad brake" but I just refresh & it starts the stream as normal.

It works a bit as of 12/6/2022, but BUFFERS a LOT on streams. So just uninstall and reinstalling is one solution.

Not working for me, seeing ads as of 12/05/2022.

IT WORKS BUT.... You do see ads still just the only plus side is you can usually refresh the page a few times usually once and they're once again gone just passively annoying having to manually refresh to get rid of the ads but a lot better than being forced to watch them I compare this to youtube ads with the "Skip in 5 seconds" button still great hope its fixed though!

Working for me as of Dec 2, 2022. Uninstalled the extension and reinstalled working for a few hours so far.

Looks like Twitch managed to break this extension, sadly. I know others have already reported on it, but hoping this rating helps bring some attention to the issue from the dev of this extension.

Does exactly what it says. Can't watch Twitch without it these days. Edit: Hasn't been working reliably for the past few weeks. Hopefully the dev is on top of it. Please include the support tab on the chrome store so we can report issues there rather than in reviews.

This has stopped blocking twitch ads as of now. Everyone rating 1 star because it just now stopped working is cringe, this worked for months until Twitch broke it you ingrates

Still working and you have to refresh sometimes if ADS do pop up. As long as this work. Only question is, where do I show support for the DEV?! Even a couple $.

This is working for me as of 11/19/2022, and is the only adblocker for twitch that I could get working.

Updating this to let people know that this extension is currently not working but you can still download Twitch Adblock. Its the extension with a picture of Pepe the frog. Edit: Apparently Twitch Adblock is no longer on the webstore. I'm sure you can still download the extension(Twitch Adblock) from Github and manually add it to chrome. Edit2: Hopefully the extension above helped some of you. I've never downloaded it from Github so I don't know how it works. I just know that I downloaded it before Google took it down due to a DMCA. I haven't even updated my extensions so If you have a infinite loop like the guy below, maybe look for a previous version of Twitch Adblock. Not sure Edit3: Have 3 different twitch adblocks and none of them work, all give commercial break screen. Edit3.5: One of them is working because I don't get ads anymore, this is madness. Edit 4: I am currently using Twitch Adblock still which is not on the webstore anymore, but you can download it manually from github, I looked at their instructions and its very easy to follow. Download the file, extract it, go to chrome extensions and load unpacked, select the folder. Before writing this I was getting ads again. So make sure to select TTV LOL as a proxy and set it to whatever resolution you want after you manually add to chrome. There will be a popup once you install (twitch adblock) I'm still running V 5.6.0, latest is 5.7.0. Other than refreshing the stream a bunch, most of the time you will get the commercial break screen once and won't see it for the rest of the day. So it's not so bad I guess? Just that one time ad upon entering the stream.

Seems to be the only twitch ad blocker working right now.

Was a really good AD Blocker for Twitch, one of the few that do not buffer when blocking ads but for a few days now it does not work.

8/30/22 Nope, it's dead again. 9/5/22 Okay it's back up again, seriously this time! 9/16/22 Twitch has done something to where it causes the stream to buffer for about 2 seconds at intermittent intervals, and you can end up being 10 to 30 seconds behind depending on how long you've been watching. Hopefully this gets addressed by TTV LOL soon. 11/8/22 Borked again.

best adblocker for twitch. it's currently down tho. but when it works again, it's the best. saved me from watching 6 back to back ads and losing my mind.

5 stars to counteract the choosing beggars. This extension is the most reliable solution.

If it has stopped working for you (stream never loads or you get an error on the player), try disabling the extension, watching an ad, and then re-enabling it. This seems to be what worked for me.

An update on 2022-10-27 broke this extension. The Devs know about it and already updated it for on Firefox within an hour to v0.0.5, fixing the issue. Expect this Chrome version to be updated when Google gets around to approving it.

As the other reviews pointed out, this no longer works. You will get a 2000 error when trying to load a stream. Good extension while it lasted.

Occasionally it stops working, but most of the time it works perfectly. I assume the devs are updating it accordingly. It deserves a 5 star review.

No longer working again. Get constant "Twitch Commercial Break" that lasts 30 seconds every 2 minutes now.

The buffering is annoying but the main issue i am having is that i randomly cannot see people chatting and it tells me i am connecting to chat. The only way fix this bug is to wipe my chrome browsing data and then reinstall TTV LOL

causes lag, cant watch in high quality with this add on enabled, disable it for HD.

This was good when it worked, but tonight streams started buffering like crazy and eventually wouldn't load; had to use a backup ad-blocker. Hope this gets fixed soon!

Was working earlier but now causes a "Network error #2000" message that blocks the whole video player. Couldn't watch stream until I disabled the extension.

Works again, but I am having trouble loading 1080p60 stream, it keeps buffering every 10 seconds. I put it on Auto, it reverts back to 720p and doesn't ever go up. However, I disable the extension (or use incognito mode), the 1080p60 has no buffering and works fine no problem whatsoever (with ads though). I'm thinking this could be on Twitch side. Not sure if other people are having the same problem?

Twitch devs finally defeated this extension. Hopefully an update is coming that will send those clowns back to the drawing board. Even though it no longer works, I'm giving it 5 stars for the effort considering it worked for so long. Well done soldiers.

I forgot I had an adblocker until it stopped working. 5 ads in a row, 30 seconds each when entering a room. That's just too much and is why I can't watch Twitch without your addon working.

The TTV LOL servers are down at the moment which is the reason its not working. It should continue working once the servers are back up.

Stopped working all of a sudden...

This stopped working as of today (2022-08-31) but there's no doubt in my mind that the team behind this extension will work their magic and make it work once more. Twitch constantly tries their best to make sure their garbage ads work. I have just started using this extension and it was amazing for the couple weeks that I've had it.

Ceased working roughly 30/08/22. Considering Twitch's top priority is to have as many users as possible watching ads, this endeavour is honestly a 5-star effort when it works; huge kudos to the dev(s)!

Been using this for the past few days since Twitch broke every other ad blocking method at the moment. Seems to be working great so far, the only issue is once in a while I'll have to reload the page as it'll give me an error.

Seems to be working just fine for me on chrome all the others I have tried did not work or hardly worked at all. Will update my comment as changes or issues arise

Was recommended this extension to stop twitch ads since the bombarding of them at viewers. How ever does not seem to work. Now i am getting random ads in channels im subbed to. Removed it to test it was not just the streamer but it stopped doing it when removed. No idea what is going on but its literally stopping ads for so long then just lets them all through at once when ever it wants.

I don't mind ADs here and there, but Twitch ADs are getting out of control. Great app!
