It says "Network not available" It doesn't work. Useless

it doesn't let me scroll the list of lamps/rooms, so i can't control all of my lights because they're off the bottom of the extension popup

For me, in 2021, the directions are: Put in the IP of the bridge in first, then press Authorize bridge, then run to the router and press the button on the Hue Bridge. After that, works perfectly. Smoother than the official app on the phone.

Seems to be broken on Chrome 87.0.4280.88 for macOS. It's not able to find my bridge, and the UI to enter the IP address manually doesn't accept key input.

Works fine for basic control when you enter the local IP of your bridge.

Nice application but clearly no longer supported, the ability to change white temperature has been 'coming soon' for at least a couple of years and with this missing it lets it down for me.

I love this extension, I'm one of those laptop people who use their cellphone rarely and it was very annoying for me to grab my phone every time I wanted to turn it on or off. But the problem is, It takes a lot of time for the extension to open (around 6 seconds and sometimes even more), I'm not really sure, but I believe it didn't use to take this much time when I first installed it. Another problem is, whenever I reboot my router and the bridge's IP changes, I have to reauthorize it. There is no option to change the IP for an existing bridge. Great work though. thank you

Works for me: I needed to go in to the extension and find my bridge by ip address at first. But after i did that. it works great. It pulled up all my lights and my rooms and it works great. It is great to have a color picker and a color saturation picker. Great work!

Works well enough for RGB lights - but the lack of temp. color control for cool/warm white lights is a huge dealbreaker. The last 2017 update indicates this feature was being worked on, had hoped something would turn out over the last few years :(

Great extension with a fatalish flaw. I've been using this for around a year now- it works great if your bridge isn't running off of a DHCP lease. Every time my IP address changes on the bridge, the entire application fails to communicate with it. It seems like there's some logic written in to handle IP address changes (when i press "find bridges", it finds the bridge on the new IP address and says its authorized to communicate with it). However, I can't get it to stop sending requests to the old IP with the only fix being to reinstall the extension & re-authorize the bridge. That being said, assign the bridge to a static IP on your router and you wont have this problem.

So excited to have this ability from my computer.

Perfect. I've been trying several Hue controllers and they are either too costly or bugg. This one has a simple interface, does everything I need and works perfectly. Nice one!

I've been looking for a way to control my Phillips Hue lights from my computer for a while now and this extension just plain works! Very nice work. The interface is clean and easy to understand and setup was a breeze, thanks for a great tool. Only trouble I had was figuring out that I had to press the big button on my Hue Bridge to "Activate" (connect) this extension to the Bridge. From one programmer to another GREAT WORK!!!

I like this extension because I can change the color, blink lights, and even colorloop! However, a suggestion would be to add the Philips Hue scenes. Otherwise, it is a GREAT extension!

Does exactly what it promises.

Just perfect. Simple, clean UI and a super easy setup. There are many theme color options, which was a pleasant surprise, and I love that you can choose to have it open to either the lights, groups, or rooms tab. Thanks to the developer for making such a great extension!

All around very useful. Lights can be turned on/off or have color set individually, in groups, or by room. I think the only feature missing is scenes.

Doesn't seem to work. It can find my Hue Bridge but it keeps giving me an unhelpful "Network Unavailable" error msg. Is there any proper documentation?

Well done extension! Easy to use UI, setup, and overall experience. I'd say there are some UI engineers who could learn a thing or two from your work :) Only thing I would add is a dark UI theme

Agree with Daniel Benson -- you nailed this. More usable than the Hue app on my phone. Please let me know where I can send a donation. For those interested in more of a review than just gushing, it's well-designed and intuitive. Very responsive, easy to set up, and does exactly what it purports to do.

Great app and easy way to control my few Hue lamps. Easy to install and intuitive to use. To be recommended for all Google Chrome & Hue users.

This extension worked immediately, with no extra setup steps (note: I already had my hue system set up with other hue control applications). The UI is pretty, responsive, and intuitively designed. It would be cool to see more features (like scenes, schedules, etc.) but I realize that's time-consuming and appreciate the developer's focus on making the basic functionality and UI rock solid before working on fancier stuff.

Very good extension but it needs some add ons mainly changing colours of White Ambience Bulbs and adding Scenes. The Group function is cool. Willing to sponsor your project!

I've literally have only used this for 5 minutes and am in love with it. Allows me to control my desk light in a snap rather then having to whip out my phone or hope Alexa wants to understand my voice today.

Really simple to use and very responsive. I'll probably end up using this when I'm at home more so than the native app, or even the widgets. Really well done!

I think this is great. Got up and running quickly and works a treat. Great to have control of your lights in Chrome. As a side note, syncing plugins across Chrome means I have this on my MacBook Pro as well as my Surface. No need to download a native app with a different UI on each platform!

So i drunkenly downloaded this app because i was to lazy to get up and turn my lights off. The fact that i clicked one button on my hub (without getting up lol) and everything works on my desktop chrome extension immediately, i love it, forsure gonna dl it on my other desktop and laptops as well

You can not set any colors or scenes. Only turning lights on and off... Pretty worthless pluggin to be honest. Find a native app: Like HueDriver in the microsoft app store is good and lets you set scenes plus much more

Not bad, but no basic color picker, can't change color of all lights at the same time, and still in beta after 1+ year (and it shows).

This works as expected, its brilliant and use it all the time.

Can't change any color or scene settings. Can't manage timers. Can't do much of anything but turn lights on/off and change brightness.

Installed and it worked for a day. Then next day wouldn't find bridge. Removed, and reinstalled with no success.

Great extension! I use it as my main app to control my hue lights. One little issue: When using on multi screen setup with different scaling, ChromeHue only works correctly on the main screen.

Fell at the first hurdle really. Loaded into Chrome, clicked the icon, it found my bridge but then I couldn't select 'authorise' or 'more info' and just got the click link mouse icon for the whole extension. Currently unusable.

Works very well. Note, this is limited. But if you want something to just turn on/off the lights. Then this is your app.

Why does the update require access to my browsing history and permission to manage apps, extensions, and themes? This used to be dead simple and easy to use. I refuse to re-enable it.

I like having control over my hue lights in as many places as I can BUT the shortcut that is not editable cntrl + H is the universal command to view history. You need to at minimum make this a disableable option.

Lovely, a few requests... #1 - allow me to rearrange (change the order) of the groups and lights by drag/drop #2 - allow me to hide some groups and/or lights in the interface #3 - add preference setting to hide the delete and edit buttons, or set a password for those actions. #4 - for color lights, consider adding a "hue" slider below the brightness slider

Works great! I only have the white lights, so I can't comment on how well it works with RGB bulbs. I also paid for the groups feature, which works great. It's something even the official Philips Hue android app doesn't have (come on philips, seriously??).

I can't connect to my bridge because the program wont allow me to press the button. It gives me 0,5 seconds and even if I press it in time it failures some how

I downloaded this because I wanted better color control, but the app only displays a TINY color wheel, which makes it harder to fine-tune colors compared to the mobile app. Disappointing. PLEASE make it possible to change colors on a BIG palette (I have a big screen here!), preferably also RBG sliders or even just HEX/RGB value input, as in HTML/CSS :-)

Pretty good wish the free version had all on or off but lets you control level of every light and individual color.

Finally, an intuitive, attractive, and functional extension that allows quick and easy control of individual and groups of Hue bulbs!

I like it, but it has a major flaw. It disables itself every time I close Chrome. It is the only extension I have that does this.

A beautiful modern extension. Saves me time from pulling out the Hue App from my cell! Excellently done!

Very nice, full control of color, brightness and individual or group on/off. All within a very easy and surprisingly stylish GUI. Fun little bonus, this is the first app I've seen that allows color loops on individual bulbs without having to create single-bulb groups. A little buggy, sometimes I can't select colors on the color wheel for one bulb because the wheel element doesn't seem to be showing up properly. Still, the is the first Google Chrome app I've found that operates the way I want and has intuitive, attractive controls.
