It's a good extension. Unfortunately the latest youtube update broke it and it needs to be updated.

Good app, but it often makes it so comments that have a "read more" option cannot be expanded. I know the point is to hide comments, but if I want to see them they should be visible in full.

YouTube comments could give you cancer if you don't turn them off, 10 out 1 doctors approved of this.

Ugly button and no ON/OFF functionality past literally disabling the add-on in the Chrome menu.

july 27, 2014 just installed it. works great so far! i love the fact that i can flip between tabs like that so i can leave a comment and then flip back without having all the other comments in front of me. edit: august 31, 2014 originally gave it 5*, now giving it 1 because it's not working anymore.

So far it's the only one I can find that works. That said, as far as I can tell, it does not default to "no comments." Instead, you have to click on "Comments" and then click on something else like "About" in order to get it to the right place. That's kind of annoying. The goal here is to have no comments show up when I go to a video then be able to choose whether I want to see what others have written. Hopefully this will get fixed (or I will figure out how to do it if I am mistaken).

This is the only one I found that actually works, and it's integrated nicely into the youtube UI.

Finally - none of the other extensions that toggled Youtube comments would work for me in Chrome but this one does. But really, I think Google should provide this ability on Youtube by default.
