Doesn't seem to be working for me on Chrome.

Working great, thank you, one correction to the description, the "Keyboard Shortcuts" menu is no longer at the bottom right but you need to click on the menu icon on the upper left and then in "Keyboard Shortcuts".

Super helpful! Make sure to set any of the shortcuts you want to use when not focused on the chrome browser to "global".

Right click Tab and Mute/Unmute. Simple and works. Exactly what I was looking for.

Didn't actually work for me. Muted sites made noise and the chrome mute stopped working. Bummer.

This is just a life saver now I can mute out my teacher and watch youtube instead tysm!!!

The extension works fine but for some reason, it changes the layout of my keyboard too so when trying to use @ its is now on Shift + 2. I try all of the combinations to undo this but still wont change back and have to reboot my whole PC to get it back to normal.

I'd like this to show up in tab and toggle by click. Too many programs want me to memorize their secret shortcuts

Really works well and does what it says. I didn't think it was possible to mute individual tabs from the same site but with this you can.

There should be a keyboard shortcut to mute tabs, and this accomplishes that.

There's always room for improvement, however, the key bindings and behavior make this one of THE best extensions if you desire to mute one tab or another. Works great in coordination with the default Chrome behavior muting sites, BTW. And you can bind to alternate keys if you so choose. Excellent work!

Very good, I enjoy using the hot keys then a point-and-click.

It is better than most for having multiple options. It does what it says it does, but i would like key binds because that would make it less uncomfortable to press.

I've been using this extension for a year or more, and although I like all the features/rules -- it's just been too buggy/inconsistent for me. Sometimes I press the keyboard shortcut 3 times before it will engage -- and sometimes it never works and I have to manually go into the menu to quiet my tabs. Plus it often (but not always) defaults to muted tabs, even though my settings don't say to do that. I just switched to a new extension (unMute) that I'll give a go.

Does not work if you do not click on the browser before using the shortcuts. Beats the whole point of this addon...

You should add a feature to mute a tab by clicking on the speaker icon so that you don't have to navigate to a particular tab to selectively mute it.

Options menu not working anymore

Perfect. Works just like Developer said it does. I was wrong because it is ALT SHIFT M. Before Chrome muted with CNTRL + M. It used to work different, and I couldn't find them. But, WOW -- your app works just like what I needed. Thank you for developing this. I'm going to give you a 5 stars. And, please, delete other comment that is asking the question of how to do that; you nailed it on your App Intro page.

This extension is so good, it needs to be implemented in standard Chrome!

With the most recent version, clicking "approve permissions" does nothing, and the extension no longer works. I removed the extension, installed it again, then restarted the browser, but it didn't help.

thanks for making this, chrome recently got rid of mute tab for mute site, and it sucks, glad ur extension works tho :)

Used it to mute my music when playing games, once I needed to hear, clicked the shortcut and muted. Then when I wanted music again, simply click it again. Great extension and thank you so much for solving my Alt-Tab to mute problem.

This extension is amazing. It's wonderful for when I'm watching YouTube videos but also have noisy tabs open on the side.

Works great and very easy to use - just right click on a tab and select "mute tab". Exactly what I wanted.

This works great for all those moments when I need piece and quiet, or when the audio from one particular tab is annoying me, and I don't want to mute everything, just that tab. I only used it once, and I'm already in love! My GIF with audio is taking so long to process, playing in the process, and the sound of the gunshots was hurting my ears, so I decided to search the chrome web store for a solution, and I found it! The audio of the tab my GIF is processing in has been muted, and now I can get some real work done. Well not really "work", but my routine gaming may become a career in beta testing. Either way, it will be a lot easier to concentrate without all that racket going on.

Great extension. Sometimes it'd stop working so I'd remove and readd, but does work great when it's active.

Works great on my Dell laptop. Had been looking for a keyboard mute/unmute shortcut. I didn't enable "Tab audio muting UI control" in chrome://flags/. I left it disabled. I wonder why Google doesn't include this by default in the Chrome browser. Many thanks to the developer.

Doesn't work. You also don't need this plugin. Go to chrome://flags/ and search for the word "Tab audio muting UI control" then enable the flag. Done.

Does the job. Wish the mute shortcuts could be used for on/off rather than having a shortcut for on and a short cut for off. Took me a few to find that the keyboard shortcut customization is found in setting>extensions>scroll to bottom, and click the keyboard link. If you cant get things to mute, be sure to paste: chrome://flags/#enable-tab-audio-muting into chrome and then click the "enable" link below the enable audio muting option.
