Page Monitor is much better for me. Please update Page Monitor or open source it. I understand that Visualping can be valuable for many people. But Page Monitor is a better fit for my use case. Why you acquire it and abandoned it and no open source? It seems to be a nasty move. ???

A great extension. Very light and easy to manage. Must have.
This has been super helpful in my role as a Social Worker, I have used it to check housing waitlists for clients, on contact pages so I know when their # or employees change, community resources to know when they move into summer hours or when cooling or warming shelters open/close. It has saved me so many hours of checking things myself ongoing or sending out wrong information.

Doesn't work.
Great--when it doesn't crash. If you leave your browser open for days like I do, the extension usually disappears, requiring you to either restart Chrome, or go into the extensions list and restart the extension. I hope the developers can fix this.

I love it, I was looking for something like this to automatically check out any updates from what websites I wanted, and it let me know from notification or email.

It's an excellent tool, helps in many situations to constantly monitor a web page without human intervention from the server side. Excellent performance and a very worthy extension.
On one desktop, I select an element on a webpage, click Monitor, and Chrome crashes. On another desktop, I select an element on a webpage, click Monitor, and absolutely nothing happens. Importing from a bookmarks.html copy/paste only imports the first item in the bookmarks file. This extension is completely useless.

2nd Update (11/13/2021): Extension crashes more than any other extension. Also even interrupting loading of unrelated sites such as userbenchmark.com. Rating is 1/5. Update: They fixed the issue of tasks being deleted when the browser closes, but unfortunately there is another problem: it's just not working. I tried using it to monitor an eBay listing for price changes (focused box on price), and I am getting constant false positives. I appreciate the developers' response to feedback, and I hope this issue can get fixed soon. Right now it simply doesn't function, so I can't give it a high rating.

Really great tool which is an enormous help monitoring the many political and policy pages I need to keep an eye on for work and personal reasons. I don't use the visual comparisons as they rarely work well, but just a ping to say a site has changed is invaluable.
Works great for my needs. Needed it to monitor a web page that automatically refreshes and plugins that refresh the page would not work. Thanks for this great plugin.

It works really well, only sometimes it detects things that hasn't changed, but I think this is due to the website design.
I have used this for so much stuff from keeping an eye on my council planning application to getting first notification on canceled tickets for a play.
Excellent tool
Wish there was a way for it to keep the log of updates. At the moment, if I miss the update for some reason, like I'm afk and an update comes and my computer shuts down, I'll miss the update.

This is not working for me at all.... 1. "pick an element" does not work for a calendar that changes the color of the dates that change to 'free' for booking, especially if the day that changes to 'free' is on the next month of the calendar, so no use there. 2. visual compare for a section of the page is useless if visualping does not properly wait for the whole page to load before comparing, and there is no "wait=x sec" configuration 3. visual compare does not work if you need to scroll down the page to the selected area, it will compare the first area you manually selected, with the top of the page once it reloads it 3.a. it will work though if you zoom-out the whole page, but then....how much can you actually zoom-out if you are looking after the bottom of a really long webpage ? So....sorry...almost useless for my particular case
So far, seems extremely easy to setup. Have not yet received a notification yet so still waiting. Could be a simple alternative to self-hosted changedetection.io.
It works! I've been using it for page monitoring on popular items that sell out quickly, has helped me grab a few I would have otherwise missed.

Been using this extension for years, highly recommend (and have recommended to friends). Helps me keep on top of when things come back in stock, game changes/updates, speed-buying for limited time purchases, even websites that do not have 'inbox alerts', etc. Can't imagine not having this extension anymore lol
Like the interface but it's too simplistic to be practical. Regularly getting false positives because it doesn't wait long enough for pages to load.
Got me and my wife COVID vaccines when it was impossible to get one. Literally a life saver.

I love the concept, but 1) apparently the "In-browser" mode still requires access to visualping (e.g. I can't isolate its permissions to just the sites I monitor), and 2) when it fails to update, it doesn't tell you, even if you watch the "check all now" progress bar finish. Which makes it very hard to tell if it's working at all.
Great app for monitoring stock levels of items you're interested in buying but that go out of stock quickly.
Great tool yo let you know when a page has been updated, I have been getting some server not working errors at times...
Works great but GAMESTOP will ban your IP. smh. Heavens forbid you want the smallest chance to actually buy a ps5.

Great addon works very well so far. I would of given it 5 stars had it the ability to choose your own notification sound as well as length of time for alert. Email or text to phone from the browser version would be awesome to but as it stands great add-on.

good for tracking price changes, would be nicer if there was more control such as checking if a number on a spot on the page gets larger apr smaller.

Interesting extension
Makes monitoring websites so much easier in a world where online stores are dominated by bots. If bot use is unethical to you, this gives you a small edge over other consumers, allowing you to get to the sites that have available stock quickly. Nice extension.
