Currently this is the only Email Notifier extension that works for both Hotmail and Gmail. All the rest don't work for Hotmail.

This is one of very few Chrome Extensions which can check multiple email accounts, I currently have 3 email accounts Gmail, Outlook, icloud mail and this extension recognises them all easily. My only complaint is that it does not refresh the count of emails in your inboxes automatically which that has to be done manually. This is a rather strange omission as the other extension published by the same publisher includes that function. Please update this so we can have that function soon.

Excellent, switched to it from old X-Notifier. Just remember that first time you need to login via the browser, then it can monitor the accounts automatically.

For some reason X-notifier stopped working a few weeks ago.Was looking for an alternative and found this addon from the same developer .X-Notifier "Neo" Works good with multiple gmail accounts. Hope they keep it updated and bug-free .

Ugh. What the hell is this? No way to add accounts. No way to add scripts. So it wants to just use ones I'm logged into in chrome already? What a PITA. Garbage!

What's the deal w/ all these folks posting on 'Support' w/ no responses from developer. I used to like the original X-notifier, but this lack of response seems more than a bit problemmatic.

Love the original and now this one. ONe problem: Works great in windows 7 ultimate, but on my new laptop using windows 10, in the "options" section, it opens the panel with all my email accounts, (mine are all gmail) in a row, with checkboxes, but when I click the "save" button, the panel just stays open, the "save" button grays out, and in the little icon on my toolbar, that has a drop down of all my gmail accounts when I use windows 7, in windows 10, does not drop down or populate the list the with same gmail accounts. What can I do? Thanks!

Awesome! In contrast to Xnotifier (not Neo), all my email accounts synchronised - even automatically!

Sucks!!!!!!!! Only accepts 10 accounts and trying to add accounts is nearly impossible. In fact, it must be impossible because I never did find out how to do it. When I set it up, it transferred accounts from my old X-Notifier. I manage 17 email accounts from Gmail and Yahoo and this Neo SUCKS!!!!

Now that the devs have fixed the issue with Hotmail/Outlook this is my favorite extension for email. 7 Stars.

Edit: My thanks to the Dev for making Hotmail/Outlook accounts work again. Shame it took so long but very happy again.

Every time that I Enabled this extension started to receive tons of spam on my hotmail account. Disabled and problem solved. Is at least suspicious.

Nothing even remotely like the Firefox version. Maybe it's a limitation of development on Chrome, but this is a mockery of what you've got on FF. Only use if you manage a max of 3 email accounts. It makes you sign into them individually before the add-on kicks in. The whole point of using this is to streamline logins and notify you when you have new email in a way that boosts productivity. This just complicates my life.

The old version was good. This one is simply awful.

The old version was so much better and convenient. The new version is obnoxious and much too difficult to add accounts. I still can't figure out how to get my university or hotmail accounts added. The popups are unnecessary and annoying. Bring back the old version, this one sucks.

Had to get rid of it. Had old one and it was good, but one day disappeared and now this one came up so I thought great. But problem, this one every time an email comes in it opens hotmail AGAIN in another tab and flicks you over to it automatically so if for example you're watching Netflix it flips you out of Netflix into a second hotmail. So annoying. I couldn't work out in options how to stop it doing it, so it had to go. Got something else

Royce Morco October 4th, 2015

would have been better if it could check simultaneously on hotmail/outlook.com accounts just like in gmail

Firefox addon worked perfect, chrome doesn't. Logs out of hotmail and worst part, opens mid page to show emails that you have to click again to open the email.

This extension is a worthless piece of garbage. X-notifier doesn't work, it will not display any email other than gmail. It has ONE SIMPLE JOB and it DOESN'T DO THAT JOB!

So far so good. The only one that really works for multiple webmail providers. Just need 1 ext instead of 3, save some resources.

It works okay. I like the notification of what the email contains, but it way too much when I start my Chrome up. Suggestion: Just show how many emails I have in all my accounts when I start it up like you did in the old one.

Joseph Formichella August 14th, 2015
Joseph Formichella

Disappointing update. Opens a single tab with email from all your various accounts displayed together, marked with icons denoting gmail, hotmail, etc. This is confusing to me, and makes this extension far less useful than it used to be. Going back to an older version, which has reliably served as my email notifier for many years.

Prefer older version. Had left click menu where you could see any mail services linked and which had messages. Mouse over to see what folders had unread messages. Now opens to a new tab - don't really care for that much. -1 star Neither version works with Yahoo anymore, and for this (newer) version I can't even try to set it up! There simply isn't an option in the settings - just a check box marked "Yahoo" without any information. -1 star Glad to see x-notifier back in the chrome store, but I'm reinstalling old version until it stops working.

I like the old version better, but I guess the developer had to comply with rules not to store password in the app. Hoping for improvements that brings back the old shine. Still, I dont think people should rate this with 1 star. It does the job and there are very few apps like this .... so guys, pls respect the develper or come up with your own solution we can rate :)

Once the best! Now USELESS! Not only is the new functionality useless, it doesn't work as described. No dashboard appears, still refuses to display my Yahoo mail.

TLDR? Use the old X-Notifier while you still can. An absolute shadow of its former self. Can't click on icon to check mail manually, it opens a new window and you have to click the refresh icon, this is counter intuitive and is way too intrusive to my web browsing experience, I'd rather not leave the website I'm on to go to a new tab. Doesn't notify of emails already present in the inbox that are not read only new ones (also can't choose whether to include spam or not). Can no longer access multiple Microsoft email accounts and doesn't even save the one I'm already logged into. Seriously, I recommend using the old X-Notifier until further notice. Please bring back the functionality of the old X-Notifier as soon as convenient to do so. It would have been just a "Disliked It" but not being able to read emails is kinda what this is made for, so I'll be uninstalling this and re-adding the old one. Will check back in the future, but welcome back to the Chrome Store! Sorry about the negativity but I'm trying to make this constructive. I do understand the design choices you're using. As a source of income you have an ad that obviously people have to see, so controlling everything from the extension icon isn't in your best interests. But at what cost? User experience is what keeps people using it. Good luck!
