It is a very cool extension and easy to use. One suggestion is this: Sometimes I want to test the same URL with different results, and from the list of rules it becomes difficult to know what rules is for each response. A possible fix for this is to add a field in the main page for the user to add some label/name for the rule. It would improve the UX of the app. This missing ^^is the only reason for not giving it 5 stars :)
Good
Resource override is not supporting for chrome older version(47)
The exact extension I was looking for. I tried other solutions as Requestly and some others and none of them worked as well as this one.
Exactly what I needed for my projects
I'm no power user, just a tinkerer looking to streamline some common tasks. Was looking for a free + opensource alternative to Requestly for simple URL redirects, and this beautifully hit all the marks. My only suggestion would be to incorporate regex, but I can't complain. Thank you so much for your hard work!
Heck yeah dude thanks for your effort making this
Simple and work excellently
Absolutely perfect thanks man !
I like it. The only part that is a bit annoying is, that I cannot (or didn't figure out yet) link it to a file on my dics. I always first have to change the file-content into the resource override UI (URL => File), instead of letting it read the file automatically.
Don't like the app and don't like the developer. Made me angry! Needs an update
Do what it promise!
The only extension that actually worked for me (intercepting a URL and directing to a file)
I was looking for an extension to replace the background on a website I do not own. This does exactly what I was looking for.
Works like a charm for me. Very helpful for testing dev functionality on production sites.
Ok, best part of this extension.."Reading The Complaints From Wanna-be Web-Devs, who couldn't code a barcode off Froot-Loops!" Seriously kids, read a book, put in the work we did to give you this WORLD WIDE WEB of knowledge!" Gave ya 4 stars cause sometimes you just gotta "Smack The Drool Off Their Chin, Wipies don't always work!"
Excellent extension! I'm using this on May'2021 . Still works fine! Thank you so much for such useful extension.
Works amazingly, Yes the UI isn't as intuitive as it could be. But the functionality is nuts on. Great for tweaking website formatting or injecting your own code. (my favorite is "modding" a site to make non draggable popup divs movable to see the content behind it. useful for the software we use at work. in which the "add new activity" popup div covers the previous making referencing the previous lines impossible) https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_draggable.asp First came across this when looking for a way to remove some bs code on our yearly safety "training"... that never changes. You used to be able to scrub thought the videos to get to the testing part faster. They decided they didn't like that. Use it to re-enable the "Next" button that would show up near the end of the video. Took 16 hours of course material down to 2.5 (Able to skip to the testing section and get on with life). So yeah 2 thumbs up.
Amazing! Works for me out of the box. Thank you for this awesome extension!
To the people having difficulty using it: Click the "HELP" button in the extension, watch the quick youtube video and you should be good to go. I had zero issues using it once I watched that tutorial. To the developer: this extension is AMAZING! Thank you for all your hard work. One suggestion to make the extension even more amazing: Have the extension's icon show a badge or different icon to indicate that the page you are currently on has active scripts being injected. Thanks again :)
This extension worked for my friends on pc but doesn't work for me on mac. Can someone tell me if it's even supported on mac or why it's not working. i sent the rules to my friend and they worked fine on his computer.
Powerful and simple, very useful.
It used partly to work, at least for "URL to URL". Since Chrome 84 this extension is no longer working at all.
Wow! That's exactly what I was looking for! Amazing!
As a developer myself, I found this to be incredibly useful.
It's not that good. It'll work a few times, then, at some point, you'll need CTRL F5 to get thigns work, or, NOTHING works. It'll stick to whatever was last in it, even if you get rid of this, and restart the computer. It's broken for me, so I can't change what I want to, and this is the only one I know that actually "works". If it breaks and you can't change it, it's done for. No way to fix it at all. Don't use this unless you want to not be able to change something back without removing the plugin entirely.
wow
Easy to use, nice and works perfectly. Thanks a lot!
Works well for me. easy to use, good design.
Perfect extension for my needs. Thank you!
Simple but effective! Was able to point my local Wordpress uploads folder to another environment no problem. Thank you!
Simple to use and a lifesaver for me as I develop on a third party platform. I can use local files (using Resource Override) to develop then when I'm sure everything is working, I can upload my files to AWS for the live site to use.
Love it, it's so useful and works great. I often use it to test out CSS before implementing, or to modify a website's irritating CSS to something more appeasing while I visit the site. My only complaint is that the CSS rules are treated like they're JavaScript when I edit them, and I have to switch the syntax back to CSS. It's marked as CSS, so the syntax should default to CSS. Please fix! Such a useful extension, and with how often I use it, always having to switch syntax back to CSS is tedious.
Just because this extremely simple to use extension baffles you personally doesn't mean it doesn't work. We use this at one of the top corporate entities on the globe for a number of projects and it works great. I know the VAR -> VAR paradigm is really confusing but when an arrow points in a direction, usually that signifies a property flow. Try to grasp the intense abstract logic there, lol. Thanks to the developer for such a priceless chrome extension! Saved thousands of hours of developing on live servers! Take one asset and apply it over another asset on a live server, amazing. May your life be filled with joy and happiness. <3
This is a life saver in so many ways! Awesome.
usually I don't comment unless its great. and yeah this extension is so great and simple. believe me guys, this is the best of its kind.
wonderful
This is without question the most useful plugin I have installed in Chrome. Whenever I show it to other developers they immediately install it. This should become part of the core dev tools functionality. KUDOS Kyle Paulsen
perfacet
Magnificent work. The help file is amazing which is hardly found on any other extension of this sort. You out did yourself. THANKS
Excelent !
how u get the thing about mope.io
Thank you, it works very well
Among the other uses, it's a great tool for replacing specific, annoying images on some websites.
Its such a handy tool. Saves lot of time and eases testing on remote environments.
Same here. It doesn't work. There is no way to know if the rule is "saved" correctly and will work or not. Multiple page reloads is required just to know that this extension is not working
Useless. The changes do not save or get reflected in the appropriate tabs. Infuriating. You will drive yourself insane trying to use this non-functional extension.
It does one thing and does it really well. Love it.
This is one of the best extensions I have used to override assets. The documentation and help guid is exceptional. Looks like chrome is trying to implement similar function but no questions this extension does much much more than what they have tried. Loved the simple and clean interface too. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.
excellent
Exactly what I needed... the ability to save and load rules makes sharing with others super-easy!
So easy and powerful, it's saved a ton of my time. LOVE IT!
Excellent, easy to use, and good documentation. Great work!
excellent tool, even as an ad blocker
Exactly looking for. Very much appreciation to you
keep it up, ad free please, is a wonderfull piece of extenssion!!
i have question how to add more red lines
Easy 5 star, does exactly what I wanted it to
Exactly What I WANTED!
Does exactly what it says with pretty quick setup! One area of improvement would be better documentation around globbing/matching in URLs. But since it's on GitHub, I can write a PR for that! Thanks for your work on this!
Works very well, and is very useful, I love it.
Best JS debugging tool ever, well deserved 5+ stars. I have asked 40+ developers in my company to use this
Simple to use!
Really useful for a programmer.
Really great. Use with combination of pretty print and a local server to override and modify minified files. Very useful indeed.
I use a lot the extension is really useful!!!
This tool meets my requirement. I've always looked for it. Thank you.
Awesome tool!
Best tool for Web Developers.
Simple and highly useful. Not sure what else you could ask for. well deserving of the 5 start rating.
Excellent Tool! Truly useful!
Simple, reliable, really nice built-in editor, and a responsive developer. Thanks Kyle!
I tried hacking around with Tampermonkey and Adblock to load my modified js file and block the original but that didn't work. And then I came across this. An absolute godsend. Thanks dude!
Great tool for developers. Works great. Thanks Kyle Paulsen :)
Awesome extension!
doesn't do anything
Perfect, exactly what I've been looking for
Very useful. Thanks.
Worked perfectly once I figured out one caveat. One thing to note is that relative paths will silently fail. The extension's logs say it matches, but it does not get replaced. Once I switched to an absolute path, it worked.
really good for development
Very useful for a multitude of development scenarios. Definitely 5 stars. The only thing that bugged me so far is that there is no delete confirmation when you delete a rule or tab rule.
I no longer need to dabble with hosts file, this is soo much better
Really awesome extension!! Great work by the developer :)
Simple perfect for switching between dev/prod environments URLs.
its very excellent , this is what i have been searching for fro almost an hour finally i found this excellent plugin which also supports Https , thanks man.
does good things well a+/10 would rate again
